Found this cafe on line, glad we did, the guys were so welcoming, even the dog was welcomed in. We both had the big cooked breakfast, wow, it’s not very often I actually enjoy a cooked breakfast but this was amazing, really good quality ingredients cooked perfectly. We’d happily go back.
Upon entering the Bradford Arms Hotel, you are immediately transported back in time to the 1950s. It is festooned with junk-shop style objets d'art and the food was equally as questionable. The quality of the food did not justify the price point - it was straight out of the freezer and bland. Shame because of the lovely location.
Friendly staff but menu and venue in need of a revamp.
This was one of the best Inns in this area and used by many locals and tourists who all had great service and food both at lunch times and evenings. We are local and are now finding our way around other local places to eat. Try The Tram Inn Eardisley which is our choice to date. Also Black Mountain lodge at Glasbury is a good Sunday Lunch. Avoid Hay-on-Wye, all too expensive and not very exiting.
Traditional Welsh pub serving big portions of good pub food. Hot, well cooked and tasty. Service good without being intrusive. Coronavirus measures in place
Sunday lunch not good had to wait 90 mins not saying sorry for delay when it came it was all piled on top of each other beef was full of fat the lamb could hardly cut it not once asked if everything was okay then had to wait another 45mins for sweets the crumble topping was burnt so wont be visiting again
Stopped here with a big group of friends for lunch. Fantastic welcome, lovely food and really friendly service - couldn't fault anything. Recommended !!!!!
I have literally just visited this cafe and while I appreciate it was busy I waited nearly 25 minutes for a toasted tea cake which was burnt to buggery and my friends had toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches which they chose to leave ….. so basically a £22.99 bill for very little. We shan’t be back
Had a preboooked sunday lunch here with a large number of friends. Food and service were great as usual. They didn't mind us coming in soaked after a long walk, and left us to chill after the meal as well. Recommended.
We haven't had Chinese takeaway from her for about 6 years and boy was it good Tonight! Just as good as the last time if not better. Prompt and polite service from Simon as always and the food was delicious and piping hot.
Very sad to hear they are closing down soon as they have been open for over 40 years but I wish them well for the future
Lovely setting (on a gorgeous day), very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious, they seem to source quality ingredients, and it shows in the flavours on offer. My only gripe would be a limited choice if you are dairy/gluten intolerant.
