Inglenook Cafe in Powys

Excellent full English breakfast and dog friendly. Very friendly staff. Plenty of space for a Great Dane to lie down. Pity we didn’t realise we could have had tinned tomatoes instead of fried though. Return 2 days later and they were full so had to go elsewhere……. Disappointed!

Have been going to this cafe for almost one year and it's time I told everyone about it. The food is wonderful,well cooked ,well presented and more than enough for one person to eat,even the small portions that are available.All the staff are welcoming, always cheerful and the banter is great.I have to mention the owner Corey,Jo,Sharon and the Sunday girls,paticularly Faith who all make our twice weekly(sometimes 3)visits the highlight of our days.I heartily recommend the Inglenook as the best cafe in Welshpool by far.

Ciabatta was to die for, service was excellent:) Would definitely recommend it :) Owners sense of humour is lacking a bit but don’t let that spoil your experience 🤣

As someone who eats here regularly I have never had a bad meal! This particular occasion I had a pork, apple sauce and stuffing ciabatta and it was perfect! Also treated myself to an oreo brownie and a coffee! Perfect 👌 Also noticed the new addition of a coffee bar to be able to sit and people watch! Highly recommended!

My friend and I came to Welshpool for some shopping and wanted a break. We popped into the cafe and both felt very at ease, as there is plenty of space. We want to go back when the weather is nice as the outside seating area looks lovely.

Great cafe. Was made to feel welcome and staff really friendly. The toasties we had were huge and very tasty. Our GSD dog was spoilt by being given lots of tasty sausage and chicken treats.

Inglenook cafe is normally a lovely place to eat however today my breakfast wasn't pleasant. My egg was rock solid and the food did not look presentable at all. Such a shame. Need to get rid of the cook who was on today.

Another excellent breakfast. Friendly and accommodating staff. Dog friendly cafe. We had a full breakfast and a veggie breakfast. Set us up for the day. Always our choice of stop when passing through Welshpool

Just had a fantastic meal, , they don't sip on the portions, a excellent atmosphere, very friendly staff. They might do fast food, but they certainly do good quality food. I would recommend the Inglenook cafe to anyone and everyone

We stopped here for lunch on our way back home from Portmeirion. I had a mushroom omelette and my husband had Pizza. Both meals were really well cooked and delicious and we ate at one of the outside tables in the sunshine. A lovely surprise as we had not expected the food to be so good and had gone in to the cafe as it was the closest place to where we had parked our car!

Stopped off in Welshpool for a bite to eat on the way home from holiday and found the Inglebrook Cafe. Easy to spot and it's a lovely place to eat. Generous portions of food and loads of seating. Staff very friendly and helpful. All round a great experience.

The Monster Bap or the Full English? Both are great. Closes too early though, hence 4/5. Local naturalist hero Ioli Williams can occasionally be spotted lurking in the undergrowth!

Stopped as a couple for breakfast on way to tywyn. Good menu choice. Friendly staff. We had 2 cappuccino and a bacon and sausage sandwich and scrambled egg on toast. Was a bit of a wait with people served before us that came after but was definitely worth the wait. The bread was lovely and all ingredients were high quality. We will definitely return.

Loved the big cappuccino cups, but it was like drinking dish water, it did not resemble coffee at all. We left it 😕

We traveled from Manchester airport and stopped in Welshpool for a bit to eat as we had another 3 hours journey left before getting home. Found this wonderful cafe. It was 11am and we wanted a meal not breakfast we all wanted different foods and the staff were happy to help . The food was fantastic real home cooked food. The service was amazing. Will call again

Visited today for Sunday lunch and what a Sunday lunch it was! Choice of turkey, pork, gammon - we had turkey and it was outstanding! Excellent quality meat and the most incredible home made pigs in blankets and roasties. Really friendly staff and excellent value for money. I’ve lived locally for a long time but never really tried the Inglenook for anything other than a coffee but will definitely return.

What a great find this lovely little cafe was! Friendly staff, great coffee and the best vegetarian breakfast I’ve had in a cafe. The vegetarian sausages were particularly yummy! My husband had the cooked breakfast and said his was delicious too.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way to Barmouth. Very friendly service and tasty food at reasonable prices. Sat outside with the dog and the kids, all happy :) will be stopping here again on the way home!

Myself and my wife got to the cafe approximately 1pm on Friday. Cafe about half full. 2 breakfasts ordered..... Apart from the 31min wait, the food was excellent. Very close to having a refund though due to the excessive delay.

On our way back from stay in Wales, stopped at Tesco in Welshpool for a few supplies, put the electric car on charge and walked a few minutes to Inglenook. Delicious food, quick friendly service. Highly recommend the veggie breakfast 👍🏻

we often pop into the Inglenook most weeks after walking dogs along canal paths and you get proper mugs of either tea or in my case cappucino.also food cracking value and dogs very welcome keep up the good service
