Cosy pub but the quality of the food plus the friendly owners/ staff was outstanding. The Jamaican brown sauce is to die for! I had it with sea bass - which was perfectly cooked. All our party really enjoyed our food. We shall visit again as it;s less than an hour away for us. Totally dog friendly which is a great plus in our eyes.
A friendly welcome and excellent Sunday lunch. Marvellous choice of desserts. And an added bonus of being introduced to the locals who were very entertaining. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Staff are lovely the place has been done up so well, price for the meal was reasonable within what we would normally spend on a takeaway despite having more to pick from. Food was ready in a good time even though they were busy. The food was amazing, best Chinese in town, flavourful and not too oiley. Look forward to coming again.
Fantastic food well presented with lots of choice. I started with the chicken parfait and toast - was melting in the mouth and silky. Then I had the slow cooked lamb shoulder - the meat fell off the bone with vegetable accompaniment. I finished with cooked chocolate pudding and icecream. There was a good choice of wines and we had the Patagonia Red - a new one on us and it was very good with the meal.
Lovely welcome from two cheerful men.
Really accommodating with our Gluten Free Breakfast plus my awkward request.
Everything cooked to our liking and how we requested. Everything was extremely hot, great hot chocolate.
We stopped here for a Sunday roast after a walk up table mountain. The pub had a very homely and warm atmosphere, with a roaring fire. The staff were all very friendly. Very good value with two generous sized roasts, 2 soft drinks and a bottle of red wine for £50.
Would recommend for a Sunday roast.
Called in here for coffee and cake before visiting Brecon cathedral. The staff were lovely - huge smiles and very helpful. Cakes were delicious - lime and courgette was good. Made for a very pleasant stop. Cathedral interesting - so glad we came here.
Quite possibly one of the best places we’ve ever eaten! We were travelling home today after storm Darragh and came across Plas Yn Dinas. There were 10 of us altogether and from the moment we walked in they made us feel so welcome!! The food was absolutely outstanding and all 10 of us left raving about it. So much so that we’re actually debating making the 4 hour round trip in the future to eat there again. Can’t recommend enough!
Worst take away meal we’ve ever had from an Indian. Had a Makhani and a Mowgli. The food was very watery and absolutely tasteless. Even the pineapple ring had no taste. We’ve had this experience there before but decided to give it another try. Most of my husband’s food went in the bin.
We had the best Indian takeaway here. The food was of excellent content (plenty of meat) and was piping hot.
Won't bother going anywhere else in the future .
Visited with a friend for the festive afternoon tea. It was served beautifully on a large board. Lovely selection of sandwiches and savorues as well as desserts. Lovely non alcoholic mulled wine too and lots of tea. Perfect afternoon.
Nice job place but girl serving us sneezed not a tea towel and then proceeded to wipe tables with it and kept hold of it to get things out of the microwave - disgusting !
Bought fish and chips. I drove only 4 miles and ate them out of the box so no plates to make them go cool. Chips were hot and tasty, fish and peas were lukewarm at best. Fish batter was too greasy. Liquid grease leaked out of box and ran into canvas shopping bag, clothes and car seat leaving ugly stains. Bad oily aftertaste. So disappointing. really wanted to love this fish and chips, having looked forward so much to tasting it. I travelled a long way for them because they were given an award. Not sure If I will give them a second go.
Amazing staff, great food and another lovely Christmas visit warm by the fire. We also have visited in the summer season which is nice to sit out and have a drink.
