Ambassadors Cafe in Ceredigion

This refers to the upstairs cafe, which provided a huge, tadty and hot breakfast for less than a tenner (tea or coffee not included).

Plenty of choices on the menu. Lots of space in the cafe. Perfect for us and our one year old daughter. Good accessibility access even though we were upstairs. Would recommend.

Great chilli & jacket potato, very tasty, big portion for what it was - very filling! decent price & quick service. Will be back!!

Terrible. Waited for egg, ham and chips. Eggs hard and brown, chips not good. Friend had tuna pasta. Pasta was dry and it was hunt the tuna. Waitress seemed quite indifferent to us pointing these out. Noticed other tables were kept waiting. Some has to ask where meals were! Would not recommend at all.

Fab little find for lunch. Food priced reasonably & tasty, service quick and friendly. Had a takeaway on another day - and sandwiches and cakes didnt disappoint. Well worth a visit

Had a cream tea lunch. All very nice; staff friendly, good service and a pleasant environment. Sat out on the rooftop, which was nice on a very hot day.

Two went for the Alban Square Breakfast, under £10 each. Usual suspects including great sausages and black pudding. Well cooked, well served, well done!

Very unhygienic, asked for the milkshake contents and completely ignore me and my friends. Ordered some water and the glass had dirt in it also tasted very salty im not sure what that was about, would not recommend very rude staff. Thumbs down for me 👎

Excellent service from the staff at Ambassadors, went in to order 8 coffees to go as we were having a meeting in the British legion Hall, and they kindly offered to deliver these to us. Saved me a few trips back and forth 😀 thank you kindly

Had breakfast her very nice staff.. food very nice the only thing that let's the breakfast down is the poor quality sausage and the very uncomfortable benches on the terrace would be better off with comfortable chairs and tables...

Its our go to breakfast/ Brunch cafe. However , I go there for the eggs benedict. I got there at 11.45 and they were very unhelpful,telling me it finshes at 11.30,so I left. How hard is it to heat up some hollondaise sauce, its not like they make it fresh. 🤷‍♂️Happy to do poached eggs on a muffin though.Just lost a local regular customer.🤷‍♂️😤😤😤

Not only is the food great, amazing value for money but the team who work there are so friendly!!! If you have allergies, then you will feel assured. I was given different utensils, explanations and for once I didn’t feel an inconvenience. Can’t recommend this fab place enough! Go!!

Really like this place. They accommodated 7 adults, a wheelchair and a dog with no problem which is quite unusual! The coffees were excellent and the crepes delicious - like proper french crepes.

I recently stayed in the area and due to poor WiFi I visited the cafe on my first day to get some work done and found myself visiting everyday. I could not have found a better cafe for food, drinks and WiFi. The staff were amazing and I’d like to thank Chris, Sandra, Michelle and Shania for the great hospitality. The breakfasts were the best I’d ever had and the service was faultless, friendly and so welcoming. You’ve made my time in wales a great experience and when I return I will be sure to visit again. The number one cafe in the area and the team go above and beyond.

What a great find. The loaded fries are to die for. Delicious cottage pie too. Also a really amazing dessert selection, although we were too full to have one! Nice staff. So pleased we found this place when visiting the lovely town.

Spent a lovely couple of hours having lunch on the outside roof area. The cafe itself is very modern and exceptionally clean - even the roof terrace was so well presented. So nice to be able to take the dogs up there also - they to are made to feel very welcome! Food was lovely, well presented, served lovely and hot and tasted really good! We have visited the cafe downstairs twice now and been charged rather a lot more than the prices state for what you get. The coffee (cappuccino) is out of a machine and is pretty horrible. Wouldn’t recommend.

This is better than "average'' but doesn't really deserve a "very good " rating. There is a decent choice of food but somehow it just has the atmosphere of a "caff" - cheap and cheerful for a quick bite rather than somewhere to linger. Had a lovely jacket potato but the bread in my husband's bacon sandwich was pappy and tasteless.

Brilliant afternoon spent here with my partner. Started off right with a friendly greeting from the lady at the till who seated us even though I did not book. Also, helped with loading my plate and carrying it back to the table. Food itself, well cooked, great selection and extremely tasty. Everyone there very cheerful and friendly even though they were very busy.

We walked in for lunch without booking in advance. The upstairs cafe (lift available) is quite extensive by local standards of size, so we had no trouble finding a suitable table for six. The food was tasty - between us we had various items chosen from the menu and everything was satisfactory. The service was particularly good. The staff were cheerful and helpful and the meals arrived within only a short waiting time. This was our second visit and we will be returning again. Diolch, Ambassadors!

It literally felt like it was extracted out of the freezer. How is this even possible when you warm it up in front of the customers? Laughable. Too far for me to bring the wrap back but yeah, it was stone cold. What a bad combination when you have WARM lettuce and COLD chicken. LOL what a shambles.Summary: Chargrilled wrap Aka. Wrap is grilled and so is the lettuce, but the chicken and cheese will still be cold!I don’t get how this is possible, still, since you put the wrap in the oven in front of the customers? Could possibly not even be on the hot setting? lolAlso bug found on lettuce but it’s ok I guess it should of melted right?

We had the most delicious sunday carvery here today, 9 fresh veg, meat melting in your mouth with all the trimmings . This is the best sunday dinner we have had out. The staff also so freindly and pleasent . Also, do a take away, ffab.Highly recommend

Sunday carvery was perfect. Fresh roast potatoes brought out on a regular basis so they were nice and crispy. The pork was delicious, cooked overnight and so soft it fell apart, the crackling spot on!! A wide selection of vegetables on offer for everyone's tastes and the parsnips were especially good.The staff here are very welcoming and friendly, always with a smile! They're a credit to the business. The lift is easy to use and makes the space accessible to everyone. We've dined here many times and will definitely come back again.

We have been here many times! It's always been great!Today we visited with family as we have a new arrival! The service was horrendous so what's the quality of the food and it's options and the staff were unpolite!We ordered after 20 minutes of waiting to order! My 4 year old wanted a ham sandwich(£3.50 for half a sandwich! ) came with salad this was on the childs menu! For an extra Pound I could buy a whole sandwich with the a proper salad! In the end she settled for sausage and beans! This I sent back as the beans were so dry you could use them to play rugby! As a rest the sausages were now microwaved to tempreture after going cold waiting for new beans!I ordered a breakfast with no black poo uddong and I stated when ordering if like my mushrooms actually cooked after noticing another customer having the same dish that the mushrooms looked raw!When it came there was the same issue with the beans! So it was returned to the kitchen, 5 minutes later I received my meal back! Still have black pudding and as a result of the beans issue everything on the plate was cold and covered in greese that was now setting! It was Over an hour since order g and I had given up! And was offered a refund which I took...Mean while my elderly mother and au t were still waoto g for their drinks let alone their food!There were hardly anyone in the Cafe now!As the time went on we watched as table by table asked for refunds and left unsatisfied and hungry! 1hour and 30 min into our visit and still ko food for my reletives!I asked for a refund and was greeted with attitude by the counter staff who looked like they were just out of nappies!

Wow - what a hidden gem but right on the high street - food and service was awesome and well worth a visit - we ate the Sunday carvery and was not disappointed - choice of 3 Meats and 9 veg and all plentiful - can help yourself to as much veg as you like if your brave enough for a 2nd helping - highly recommended

We came across this lovely cafe by accident when the one we were originally going in didn't take debit card.Really pleased to say we both had panini with side salad. Well presented and very filling.The staff were lovely, very helpful and polite, we will be certainly recommending them to our friends.Price wise was good also.Thanks to you all

I popped in to Ambassadors Cafe today for a spot of lunch. I was surprised at how big the upstairs area was. Due to the spacious nature of the room I found the atmosphere lovely and relaxing, which is rare in cafes nowadays as they always seem to cram in as many tables as possible. The menu has a wide range of both sweet and savoury options and has many vegetarian options too. I ordered a quiche from the specials board, it arrived quickly and the lady at the counter was very kind and welcoming. After this I couldn't resist trying a slice of cake, I sampled the Bakewell tart and it was delicious!

They have an excellent selection of sandwiches and meals. They were very nice and reasonable too. The service is good and would definitely recommend 👍

I live not too far from Aberaeron and when we do go into town this is our 'go to' place to eat. It's always spotless, the food on offer is always great and like a previous traveller said, yes! even their salads are in no way boring. I love the decor too, it's just right. If you're ever in Aberaeron I cannot recommend Ambassadors highly enough.

this is far the best Sunday lunch served in Aberaeron , the service was 100% and the staff were outstanding . the food was piping hot home made cooking like you get at home 100% can recommend

A visit to this shop is always a must for me whenever I’m in Aberaeron. I like the airy feel of the cafe upstairs with its spacious feel and comfy chairs. Great for meeting friends or getting on with a bit of work by yourself. I’ve only had the cooked breakfast but that is always nice and good value, especially the mini breakfast. They do all kinds of lunches from soup and sandwiches to salads and traditional main meals. Something for everyone.

I have visited Ambasadors quite a few times now, being relatively local, and I've found both the little cafe downstairs, and the rather larger cafe/restaurant upstairs both pleasant to visit, and with a lovely choice in their menus.

Came across Ambassadors Café yesterday while strolling along street with my friend. We were staying in Aberystwyth. Had been looking for home made cawl with ham. This gem did not disappoint. Split a serving with my friend and given a generous lump of cheese and a roll. Served by Sharon and Lucy whom I cant fault. The cawl was hot, delicious and flavoursome and I will definitely return for more. Everything was clean and the cake servings were very generous. Top Class Job Girls!!!!!

Visited with family. Good access for wheelchair's & buggies but food rather bland & tasteless, could do with some new menu items maybe. Quite pricey for what it was. All in all, average I'm afraid. Our visit ended with a waitress plonking a spray bottle on table & saying "no rush" as we packed kids up.

On holiday in Aberaeron early August so visited for afternoon treats with a view to returning during the fortnight we were staying...BUT did not do so for a number of reasons. Service definitely without a smile! Made to feel like we were in the way and that everything was a trouble. All staff VERY grumpy even though all four of us were pleasant and polite. Scones the worst I've EVER had dry and stale. Worst of all though the clotted cream that accompanied the two cream teas was WARM and its consistency not at all as it should be. It was a VERY hot day so all dairy products should definitely have been in the fridge. No excuse for it not being! Did not eat as worried about possible after effects. Son's cake also dry. Do not recommend at all.

We were pleasantly surprised when we reached the top of the stairs at the back of the shop. The cafe was large and spacious with seating inside and out.

I love stopping here when passing through as there is always a warm happy welcome and today was no different. I had the bacon Brie and cranberry panini with a Mocha. The cheese and bacon were oozing out of the panini and it was prepared to perfection. The coffee was excellent and if I had one criticism it would be I would like more choice in the size of m6 coffee. A lovely snack thank you and an interesting shop downstairs as well.

Called in today for lunch. There were four of us and we each ordered different meals and pots of tea. The tea was delivered to our table before we had even finished paying, now that is what I call service! Our orders were cottage pie, ham pasta, prawn salad and mine was a tuna mayo salad. We didn't have to wait long at all and all were delivered to our table with a smile. My salad was delivered with heaps of tuna and mayo, beautiful coleslaw and the salad itself, all presented really nicely. A small side dish of balsamic came along too. So I'm about to start when I spot a piece of pineapple!...Oooh, strange I think, but you know what it really added taste to the salad, tucked that in my brain for future reference. So in short what you may think of my order being just a boring salad was probably the nicest, freshest, tastiest salad I reckon I have ever had. p.s. my fellow eaters were just as impressed with their meals too.

Had takeaway sandwiches from her what let down waited ages to be served eventually got served the bacon is pre cooked thin stuff like you get in supermarket sandwiches then warmed up in microwave ?...the sausages are the lowest quality I.v even had and are served fridge cold... well Ares was...whats more concering we had a mixed sandwich of bacon and sausage so you had hot bacon from microwave then cold sausage put on top weird ...will I go back not a chance I.m surprised they can do that...

We have been in before we had the all day Breakfast and enjoyed it well cooked and tasty . The cafe has a nice friendly atmosphere.

We decided to have lunch out and went to Ambassadors, a place we had been to before but had not been to for a few months. The first thing we noticed was that the chairs at our table had seen better days. The covers were totally flaking. We had a chicken pesto panini, which was lovely, but unfortunately the side salad / garnish was well past its sell by date. The lettuce was limp and even rotten along the edges. Afterwards we had tea and coffee, and the coffee was so weak that you could see straight through to the bottom of the cup. Very disappointing.

We enjoyed coffee and cake in this very nice friendly café. Not overpriced either and a lift for special needs was a particularly good idea

Had a toasted cheese and onion sandwich. The cheese was not melted and the onion was raw. Very dry and tasteless.

Meet up with mum & brother a very nice spacious cafe up stairs with lifts as options for disabled, very friendly staff, with very good variety of menus I had large latte & Prawns salad which was very nice & full plate also very well presented. My mum & brother gose their on weekly basis.

Sat outside with my wife, daughter and grandaughter for food and drinks. The food is ok and the drinks were as expected but we were served by the grumpiest person I've ever met. Short haired blonde woman who has no manners at all and just pulls a grumpy face. When she bought the coffee out she just plonked the cups on the table and never uttered a word. This woman really should not be serving members of the paying public as we expect a smile when we are spending our hard earned cash. Would have been more stars but for Mrs grumpy.

Had a couple of snacks as well as a cooked breakfast, everything was freshly cooked and a good variety on the menu. Great staff

Mientras visitaba a Aberaeron pasó por. Encantadora y espaciosa cafetería muy relajante. La comida estaba muy bien presentado y muy sabroso. Teníamos un queso brie, jamón y panini cranberry que era magnífica. El café era bastante pequeña para un "grande", pero aún así agradable. Muy limpio y ordenado. El único aspecto negativo fue todo el personal era bastante lamentable.

Siempre intento parar aquí, cuando paso. Siempre un servicio amable y atento. Gran relación calidad-precio y una amplia variedad de opciones. Have eaten here several times and generally have good service from welcoming staff. Wide ranging menu available with good choice of homemade cakes. Delicious crepes however can be slow to serve particularly if more than one ordered.

Staying nearby Aberaeron, we came out to find somewhere for lunch and this place caught our eye due to the wheelchair friendly sign outside. The lift took us sedately to the first floor and into the bright spacious restaurant area. Friendly staff and fast service with excellent food meant we were all happy with our choice. We stopped here late morning today travelling to South Wales. The staff were friendly, the coffee's were tasty and a good size and the panini was wonderful with plenty of tasty filling and a good salad garnish. We will definitely stop here when passing through again.

I've visited and eaten here many times and each time has been wonderful. There is a wide variety of choice there, and tastes lovely. The staff are always friendly and pleasant. The only problem is that sometimes, as the cafe is popular, there isn't always somewhere to sit. However, it's worth the wait.

As the title says I love this place, I am a wheelchair user and regularly eat here. It isn't the cheapest place to eat in Aberaeron but it is definitely my first choice. Staff are always super friendly and helpful, the food is always delicious and well presented. my only criticism is that they could do with offering some sort of either potato or fries option for the fussy kids that don't appreciate good food!
