Two Hoots Tea Room in Ceredigion

Very sad to hear what has happened to this lovely cafe. Visited twice earlier in the year while on holiday. First visit arrived on the train and second visit by car as we'd enjoyed the food, friendly atmosphere and the setting so much. Very disappointed in The Vale of Rheidols decision.

Its a crying shame that the tea rooms are closing after 34 years. The best, and I mean best Welsh tea available.

Loveley setting, lovely staff, and great food, I do hope they find a place for you in the new Station building.

Lovely tea room at the end of the Devil's Bridge train ride from Aberystwyth. The staff are very friendly and the treats are most excellent. It is a shame that the Vale of Rheidol Railway has decided that they don't give a hoot about Two Hoots by booting out the staff they shutter it. This is a local attraction which will leave a big hole in the economy.

Always a nice place to sit and watch the trains whilst enjoying a decent lunch. Such a shame the VoR have decided to terminate your contact, very short sighted of them in my opinion.

It's a fantastic little coffee shop that serves some delicious homemade cakes and incredible looking afternoon teas! The staff were really friendly, and it was a lovely place to have refreshments before getting the train back to Aberystwyth. There's some seating inside and lots in the covered area.

Great stop near Devil's Bridge and right at the side of the steam railway line. Half a dozen of us arrived just as hot food service had ended but the lady serving let us choose hot options. Very kind of her.

Amazing place and the staff were so friendly. A gentleman gave us an umbrella to borrow as it was raining. I spoke to him in welsh and he shook my hand as we went to the devil's bridge falls. When we returned he offered to lend us a blanket for the return trip to Aberystwyth. His kindness really touched our hearts. Diolch yn fawr ich I We will return to the area next summer and will do another visit.

Great spot to grab a bite if you come into Devils Bridge via the steam train. Ready made sandwiches available if you don't want to wait, which is the option we took and they were really lovely and fresh

I have never been so well treated and made to feel so welcome. This cafe is worth a visit. These people define hospitality. Old school goodness.

Wow,what an amazing breakfast I had here.Everything was top quality especially the sausage and bacon and I loved how it was served,A nod to the old days when the steam train crew used to use a shovel to cook there breakfast on..staff were so friendly aswell and went out of there way to help.plenty of outdoor and indoor seating and very well priced..if I didn't live 200 odd miles away I'd definitely be a regular here..loved everything about it

Stopped for a quick break due to the rain. What a great place and the cakes to die for or at least help on the way to diabetes. The staff are wonderful and great at their jobs.. what a lovely find and definitely worth a visit. The toilets are ok and there is ample parking. Great little shops there too

Such a cute cafe, right by devils bridge and the steam railway. The owner/staff member was so friendly and we loved spotting all the owls in outside area while enjoying our refreshments,

Beautiful tea room only a short walk (10mins) from the entrance to Devils Bridge waterfall. Lovely staff and great selection of teas. The brie, onion marmalade, and bacon toastie was absolutely delicious. And we couldn’t resist trying a cake which was also delicious. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

This is a quirky little tearoom, which serves a wide variety of food and drink. The chocolate and orange cake is particularly good, as are the scones with jam and cream. Seating inside and out.

Great facilities at the end of a most enjoyable, authentic, very steep steam railway journey, with the most brilliant views across a beautiful remote Welsh valley.

Stopped for lunch, which was a ploughman's, good , coffee was terrible but the service was good. Would use again if I pass this way in the future

Loads of gluten free on the menu. Had GF chicken, bacon and lettuce sandwich which they made to order. Service , food, atmosphere outstanding! Will highly recommend.

In 28 years very little has changed here. Breakfasts served until 11am for the early risers ! The tea room and surroundings, the heritage steam Railway yard is very relaxed and the locomotive crew enjoyed their lunch break alongside the tourists. Locally made sandwiches and cake, hot sausage rolls and pasties also served. Souvenirs too

Lovely little cafe, food was really nice and freshly cooked, and got a little pack lunch for our son, which was more than enough for him, our son loved the chickens that were roaming around as well and wanted to take one home

What a quaint and querky place good food and excellent value for money .

Nice place to take a break and refresh yourself after visiting the town and devil's bridge or the three bridges place ... you can have a snack , sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam , tea , coffee, chocolates, chips and alot more things to eat . Not big meals to eat .. You can use the bathrooms around but they will be closed as the cafe closes which is a big pain for people who wanna use the bathroom after sight-seeing and a long hike around .... 🙁 But there is a resturant called Hafod hotel close to the devil's bridge . You can use the bathroom here as it opens till late . Bathrooms were super clean and well maintained !!😃 I love using clean bathrooms 😂 You can eat and stay in this hotel as well . It's opposite to the devil's bridge trail. Beautifull view and stunnin place to plan an over-night stay . I did not stay here but stopped by using the bathroom though . But the view was breath-taking as they got outdoor seating as well and you can enjoy the aswesome scenery while eating and drinking 😄

We loved this cafe!! Not sure why people are moaning about paper plates etc because at least the owners of this cafe, have tried to make it interesting with the quirky wooden sculptures and oddments scattered about :) .....the staff were friendly and chatty too! if you want good service, a cute and yummy treat, then come here! We will be back :)

Lovely cafe in a wonderful location. What makes it really special is the journey over the mountain road from Rhayader to Devils Bridge. Perfect bikestop.

Friendly and cheerful staff who carefully follow Covid19 safety guidelines. Delicious beef curry baked potato and also a full gluten free menu. We are very satisfied customers who will definitely make a return trip! 😀

Ordered two jacket potatoes with cheese, beans and bacon. Took three attempts for the correct food to come out and even then one never had cheese added. The wooden knife and fork provided are pretty ineffective too.
