Just popped in for coffee. Artisans was nearly full with a mix of locals and tourists,a cafe full of quirky decor and a friendly welcome. I ordered a large oat cappuccino and a slice of bara brith. Both arrived at my table within 5 minutes. Delicious bara brith 2 slices and butter on the side..and a large hot satisfying oat cappuccino. I always recommend a visit.

Overall, the food and coffee were nice. I had about an hour or so to kill in the morning in town so I thought I’d go in to do some work. When I received my coffee I was told that there was a half an hour limit in the cafe for people with laptops during the summer period. As kind as the lady was about this I couldn’t help feeling taken aback. The cafe was not busy when I entered and there was still plenty of space when I left (before my allotted time was up). I hadn’t planned to stay over the lunch period which I recognise would have been busier and my presence may have been more inconvenient (perhaps asking me this would have prevented this situation). To be told this though as I was receiving my food and drink made me feel very uncomfortable and as if I was on some form of timer and being watched. I know it wasn’t meant in any sort of way but that does not mean that I felt unwelcome as a result. Overall, as nice as the place is I don’t think I will return which is a shame but unlike the coffee the welcome or lack thereof has left a bad taste in my mouth. In reply: Apologies, I must have been mistaken for someone else because I had never been into this cafe before. I live in England and I was visiting family in the area and I can promise that this was my first time there. As shown by my other reviews predominantly based in London and Liverpool.

It was a Saturday morning and quite busy in the cafe. With a table of elderly gentlemen and a table with 1 child, between them they made a lot of noise!. Service was slow but refined, although the young waitress in spite of repeating our order got it wrong! Sat next to the door, everybody who went out or in seemed to want to slam the door shut, which made a hell of a loud bang. Won't be visiting here again!

Great find after being recommended by someone passing who overheard us not being able to take our dog into a different cafe. Great coffee. I had falafel platter and my partner the fish finger sandwich. Both very tasty, didnt look much but was very filling and didn't have room for cake so we'll have to return another day! Quirky decor, with mis matching furniture and a few crafts for sale. Very welcoming with friendly polite staff.

As you walk in to Artisans there is such a lovely and welcoming atmosphere. They are also dog friendly which isn’t true for all cafe’s in Lampeter. The staff smile as you walk in and are very helpful with directing you to the menu and will help with anything necessary. Looking at the menu , I was amazed with the amount of choices and variety of food available. With options for vegans and vegetarians as well as gluten free options , there really is something for everyone at Artisans. I had the pleasure of trying the French Brie, Bacon and Cranberry toasties which was served on a lovely bread with a generous amount of salad and crisps you truly get your moneys worth . I also ordered a hot chocolate with some cream and marshmallows this was delicious and was served at a perfect temperature. The drinks options also vary having many cold drink options as well as decaf options for hot drinks. Overall I was very happy with my experience in Artisans, I was so impressed that later that day I went back in to get some cakes which were presented beautifully on a gorgeous counter with so many options making it hard for me to make a decision! I will definitely be returning to Artisans as soon as possible and will recommend this wonderful cafe to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful experience and delicious food!

A real gem! The first thing to note is breakfast is served until 12 - great! From the wonderful selection I chose the Welsh breakfast. Really good quality ingredients perfectly cooked. Absolutely delicious. Coffee smelt so fresh and tasted even better. Staff are super friendly with great food knowledge. I could have stayed all day! This is more than a coffee shop it’s a destination place for foodies everywhere. Whether you make a special trip or you’re just passing and call in, I can’t recommend highly enough

I loved this little gem of a place, staff were so welcoming and helpful, just the right atmosphere for the quiet relaxing time out from work I needed, menu is real Artisan home made goodies, coffees are absolutely handmade with love, I had bacon, Brie and cranberry baguette, honestly one of the tastiest Iv had ever, had to stop myself from raiding the cake counter though, just couldn’t bring myself to choose, but a perfect excuse to revisit 😊 our dog Ted was equally impressed with the puppicino 🐶.

Bref! Fuyez…

My friend and I were staying locally for a week. We happened to pass Artisans around 12 and as we were booked for an evening meal later we were looking for a light bite. We were delighted. The space is friendly, warm and has atmosphere. The armchairs we chose were comfortable. The people seemed a mix of locals and visitors. The food was superb. I had a Parmesan herby scone with Welsh cheese and slices of apple and chutney. It was delicious. My friend had a coffee which she said was excellent and I had a pot of tea which also hit the spot. As a bonus it was dog friendly so we didn't have to take our greyhound and whippet back to the car. The staff were friendly and helpful. It set us up nicely before we had a browse round and a spend in the shops. Highly recommended.

We noticed this cafe had vegan options and although we are omnivores, were having a meat free day. The cafe is conveniently situated on the high street and furnished with upcycled retro furniture. Half of the seating area has tables the rest armchairs. We selected a table seat. The waitress gave us a menu and requested we order at the counter. The menu is bread based with various breads with various fillings. Strangely everything is served with potato crisps and a salad as an option and there are no soup choices at lunchtime. We both selected the plant based meatballs in focaccia. Leaving aside the confusing name they were very tasty albeit rather dry and overcooked. They also came in flatbreads not focaccia which we should have been told but hey the flatbreads were good. There was free tap water on tap a nice touch and we polished things off with a selection from their comprehensive list of teas and tisanes. Covid rules well adhered to and kind friendly service. However the loos were closed due to Covid as they couldn’t achieve the social distancing required which was disappointing.

Food is good, coffee very so-so. Asking for a filter (pour over) caused consternation with the counter staff, and the device they used to deliver it to my table was over-filled causing an overflow from my saucer and on to the table. The coffee used to make it was pre-ground and came out of a box under the counter. Result - watery coffee with no discernible taste, which may have been a blessing given the uncertain age of the ground coffee used. The espresso that I had was pulled far too long (too much water) and exhibited no crema - just tasted a bit thin. Go for the food, don't expect to be impressed by the coffee. I know that my standards are a little high, but this was a total disappointment.

Often places that 'allow dogs' only accept dogs of a certain size regardless of the behaviour of the dogs. This often restricts where we can go as a lot of establishments make assumptions about the nature of our dogs based on their size. Artisans however was very welcoming to our two pups and had no issue with them whatsoever! Delicious white hot chocolates and lovely cakes! would definitely recommend for anyone with dogs

So I looked through what was there saw what I wanted & would have liked to discuss the possibility of having some ordered for me if that was possible. I was not approached or even acknowledged . Such a shame I like to support small local where possible. I'd travelled 30miles to go there. Your loss of over £100 today & more from a possible order.
