This place only opens three days a week; Thursday, Friday and Saturday. And on each of these days, it only opens for three hours: 5pm to 8pm. It's so good that there are people waiting outside for it to open and, once it is open, they're is a queue out the door. The menu is traditional chippy food. Fish, chips, sausages, fish cake, burger etc. It's not the most widest ranging of menus, but what they do, they do amazingly well. And, because of the popularity, whatever your get will have been cooked fresh, not sitting around keeping warm. It's not fast food, but it's definitely worth the wait! Firstly the chips. These were proper chippy chips. Well cooked, not soggy, but crispy and delicious, with the right amount of salt and vinegar added. Next, sausages. Standard chip shop sausage but the battered one was cooked to order and delicious. The star of the show was the fish. Again, cooked fresh so the batter was crispy, and the fish was delicate. The fish had a beautiful salty taste to it, like it had been swimming around the sea just 10 minutes previously. A real depth of flavour that was pleasantly surprising. The extras; curry sauce, gravy and mushy peas were all high quality. All in all, a chippy tea that was so good, I was sad when it was finished!

Bought fish and chips. I drove only 4 miles and ate them out of the box so no plates to make them go cool. Chips were hot and tasty, fish and peas were lukewarm at best. Fish batter was too greasy. Liquid grease leaked out of box and ran into canvas shopping bag, clothes and car seat leaving ugly stains. Bad oily aftertaste. So disappointing. really wanted to love this fish and chips, having looked forward so much to tasting it. I travelled a long way for them because they were given an award. Not sure If I will give them a second go.

Stopped on the way back from Barmouth, just made it before they closed (closes at 8:00pm week days) Mini fish and chips were delicious, and reasonably priced to boot. Highly recommended.

Primera visita. Servicio muy amable y rápido, y impresionados por el interior limpio y atractivo, también por su uso de embalaje ecológico y sostenible de peces.

Eaten here a number of times. Good sized portions, always good quality and piping hot. Choice is huge but traditional cod and chips is my favourite. Handy tables outside for 'al fresco' dining if you wish. Sometime there's a wait for things to be cooked but that's normal for a chippy. What more could you ask? Can't fault it.

A sunny Saturday evening and no restaurants in town had any space, so our only option was the chippy. Well how fortunate we were. The food was brilliant, well cooked and great tasting batter on the thick cod portions, delicious chips and mushy peas just as they should be. Helpful friendly staff advised us of an idyllic spot to sit and eat our order on the old bridge over the river. It was a delight to sit over the river and savour our evening meal out of the paper . If we are in the area again we will not hesitate to go back for seconds, keep up the great work guys! Best wishes for continued success, John and Caroline
