Ordered cream tea. Scone fell apart as I picked it up. It had been heated up. Partner took it to counter to explain, very politely, that we didn't want it hot and it had collapsed. Counter staff girl explained she's told to heat them. Partner attempted to explain cream tea scones aren't normally hot as clotted cream will end up melting but it was obvious she was now upset. The next customer had the coffee pot slammed extra hard on the counter. Then the girl, after disappearing out back with another staff member, came back behind the counter and made some reference to 'people shouldn't tear a strip pit of people just because they're disabled' (I'm a stroke survivor in a wheelchair). I was horrified and couldn't wait to get out of there!!

Ony one lady serving so small queue took ages to get through as she was serving and making coffee. The guy clearing the tables had a terrible skin condition - not his fault - but not a great view when he clears your table and you get an arm with open sores reaching over your table and his trousers were ripped with a dirty patch on the bum. Really bad hygiene image even if they were clean 🤢. Coffee was average, but was probably but fed up by this time. Definately won't go back.

The food was beautifully cooked! It was a lovely atmosphere and the rosè Zinfindal blush was amazing! However, we were slightly disappointed with the service, we had went out as we were on holiday and we thought it would save time as we had to pack for going home, but instead we had to wait ages for our food, we waited for the starter then they came out with the Main course, then we waited about 25 mins for dessert and that was after asking for it the second time too!

We like the Coffee No 1 chain and as we were in Cardigan on holiday, we popped in their coffee shop, along with the dog, for a short while. As with all Coffee No 1 shops, the staff are lovely - they even gave us a bowl of water for the dog. The coffees and Welsh cakes are delicious and all in all, we spent a lovely 40 minutes or so in the shop.

I had not visited Lampeter since my studying days many, many years ago and so during a long anticipated visit over the weekend with my wife I was both surprised and excited to see my old favourite haunt Conti’s still going! Perhaps it was better left as a memory… What little food they had available was just ‘ok’, the obviously bought-in cake selection looked pitiful and the coffee was lukewarm and bitter. Apparently it is still run by the family but sadly it’s not a patch on the cafe run by good old Mr Conti - what was once a bright, warm and lively eatery is now a dark, quiet and unwelcoming place where customers are seemingly an inconvenience - god forbid you disturb the young boy behind the counter, his phone is obviously far more important than us mere customers… The only redeeming feature is that the ice cream is still as fantastic as it ever was! Perhaps I am now a grumpy old man, held back by nostalgia, but I simply had to express my disappointment in a once much beloved, perhaps even ‘famous’ establishment that I know many were so fond of! I’m sure my wife must have thought me mad to have raved about the place for so long. Sorry Conti’s but I will be erasing this visit from my memory!

Wasn’t terrible but certainly not a great standard the chicken tasted like processed chicken and I had Chicken Tikka plain meal as I have a stomach problem at the moment and it was more like a chicken Shish from the kebab shop next door which was excellent by the way so not awful but wouldn’t rush to go back

Was really looking forward to a high end meal, given the beautiful room & general reputation of the ROH. The menu is pre- order, so there was really no justification as to why the service was so appalling. Apparently the restaurant was short staffed on the night & apologies / discount were offered when we eventually complained, as we had to cancel the dessert due to our show being about to start. Prawn cocktail was very bland & watery containing 3, maybe 4 tiny shrimps and consisting of otherwise very basic salad ( iceberg lettuce & little else). The mains were also disappointing lacking flavour & generally service very bad ( waiting 40 minutes after being seated for drinks order to be taken). We were sat downstairs with 1 waitresses while t many run around upstairs ( seemed 1 waitress to every 2 tables). Would never eat here again which is a shame, as the show was fantastic.

Puzzlingly empty place that seemed to have a confused identity as a combined cafe/bar/restaurant. The food was actually very good; one of the best starters I've had in ages (Japanese tempura veg), and served promptly. Being a bar, it had my favourite drink, Crabbies, which you hardly ever find in restaurants, so that was a bonus. However the bored waitress seemed to think having no customers meant turning the radio up to 11 (some kind of horrific Saturday night jungle/drum n bass banging and shouting noise), which wasn't my idea of dining background music. With a bit of staff training and a marketing revamp, I'm sure the good food could bring some repeat business.
