Absolutely disgraceful attitude towards disabled people. My friends and I visited, having paid for an evening of live entertainment. However, as I am a wheelchair user I was verbally abused by the owner. She physically moved me and my wheelchair into a corner and called me an obstruction. When I then left a review, via facebook, she went onto my business page & left all sorts of absurd comments in some vile attempt to damage me. She is a nasty piece of work and the venue treats it's customers abysmally. I will never return.

So disappointed that this pub had closed down. We visited in October 2022 with our French bulldogs in tow and received the best of welcomes. We decided to take another break in the area this month (September 2023) and top of our list was a return to the ship inn at Llangranog, so disappointed to return and find you closed down as there is nothing else in the area. We get it times are hard in hospitality and hope that someone is able to reopen this great pub and make it work.

A nice pub serving good food. The staff were helpful and efficient. We were pleased to have a table overlooking the sea on our first night. We ate here two evenings on our recent holiday. I enjoyed the sea bass, and chicken. My husband was pleased to find crab on the specials board. I would have liked a choice of vegetables in addition to the ubiquitous salad, but overall plenty of choice.

Firstly don’t allow dogs (the reason the place is empty). Make you feel awkward from the moment you enter. Didn’t eat there and couldn’t wait to leave. We are local to the area and have been coming for years, only went in as we didn’t have our dogs. Upset our toddler as would not let him eat a fruit snack at the table because they have (a very expensive chef and must eat their food and it’s their policy) We were the only people there. The lady clearly has no knowledge of the industry let alone customer service. Glad we left and went back to the superb pub Pentre Arms on the front. Homely welcome as always. Don't give them your business. Wish I had read all the other negative reviews on trip advisor before putting my money in their till.

Been coming to Llangrannog for many years, first time in the Ship since new ownership. The service was horrendous. Apart from the male barman (who was knowledgeable and pleasant) the owner and the female bar staff were grumpy, unpleaseant and unwelcoming. Will not come back until the ownership changes again! What a shame :-(

Things looked ominous from the start when questioned about the pie female server did not understand the concept of British pies. Fish Pie v Chicken Pie. We ended up ordering 3 x pie of the day and from the specials board, lamb stew. After quite a few minutes she came back and said the pies were off. So we chose two burgers and a fish pie. After quite a lengthy wait The food arrived. The burgers were all really bad quality the cheese on too plasticky. The chips, which was supposed to be homemade triple cooked were just greasy normal frozen and empty. My friend says it will be a long time before she eats a burger again after the awful taste left by this. The fish pie was okay but it was just mashed potato with a bit of sauce, cheese on top and a few fishy bits. The lamb stew was quite exceptional. The size of the portion was way less than a normal can of soup. It was about half an inch of watery liquid in the bottom of a bowl with three very small pieces of lamb about the size of a dice and a few vegetables. It was supposed to come with Chiabatta but it came with French stick which was okay but for £15 there was probably no more than £.50 worth of food in the soup. Very surprised how this place canoe out with a 4 star rating.

Walked in but could barely get through the barrage of people standing in the doorway. Admittedly the pub itself isn’t huge but the doorway should at least be kept clear. Managed to push our way through to the bar only to stand there for 20 minutes and be ignored by the bar staff while all 3 of them served one customer. Left eventually due to being parched. Would not recommend.

I had three meals at the Ship Inn. The steak was fantastic. Cooked to exactly how I like it and tasted like heaven. The pint of prawns and seafood board consisting of cockles, white bait, crab meat and prawns was a lovely seafood experience at the beach. The kiddies sausage and chips filled me and I’m a big kid. I regretted not having the fish and chips which looked really good. Saturday nights live music was a treat and added so much atmosphere to an already lively pub. All the staff were friendly and obliging, making it excellent service. Coming from London, I cannot fault the meal prices especially as I had live entertainment thrown in. Highly recommend The Ship Inn.

We came for a drink here, which was lovely. Full of happy local people celebrating the life of a legend from the village. What we witnessed was shocking by the leasee of the establishment. She accused a local man of bringing football hooligans from the other (better) public house into her pub. So i found out some facts. There was no complaints from the lessee with regards to the £100s of pounds being spent by these lovely local people who were also appalled and disgusted with this treatment of the lovely local people of Llangrannog. The local legend is named Melvyn Zerk who welcomed these leasees into the village when they arrived like he always did for everyone and a week before he died gave them beautiful lillies from his lilypads on his lake because that was the kind man he was. I for one will never come back to drink at the Ship until they learn to be less judgemental, respectful, kind and caring about other people. Winter will be here soon you will need them more than they will need you.

Visited today wanting a drink after walking on the beach with our dogs. Request for coffee made with either coconut or almond milk met with blank incomprehension and the response that they only served cows milk. This is 2019 and plant based alternatives to dairy are now mainstream unless you visit this establishment. Our visit to this bay today which we have known and loved for countless years has been a great disappointment given the total lack of decent service and unsmiling bordering on couldn't care less attitude of serving staff. The sooner Costa coffee and McDonald's move in the better, perhaps the business owners would then sit up and start to review their shortcomings. We will continue to visit and stay in Llangrannog but have decided on the basis of our experiences that we will never use any of the local businesses or support the local economy in any way. It is clear from our visit today that a once beautiful and welcoming village where a welsh contingent served the community has become harmless and unwelcome by place for people seeking food quality food or service where the emphasis is on customer satisfactio n. If your tastes run to carb laden and sugar laden food at exorbitant prices then you will find it here in abundance, if you want good quality and choice served with a smile then look elsewhere.

We're local so we'll be regular visitors

Watching the world go by whilst listening to the sound of the sea. Great selection of beers and outdoor seating area to allow the tide drift in and out

A boon to find this to be dog friendly. The food was excellent and prices to match, too. So pleased we ate here.

Really nice pub and staff but beware the car park.It is not owned by the pub and is going to cost the village in trade if things are not rectified. Two weeks ago my 2 car party visited ,on arrival the ticket machine stated "out of use",many people tried to pay but the machine was "out of use",we all parked as the car park was not blocked off and it's the main parking in this lovely village. We have all received automated 100 pound fines for non payment!!!!,great shame that the locals ultimately will lose visitors due to an outside firm of crooks.

Came to the ship to meet some friends for a drink at 7.30pm, haven’t been to the ship for a couple of years even though I am local. Had a lovely time the ship had a cosy setting and we felt welcome.

Well llangranog is a beautiful cove on the cardigan bay coast. We decided a beach at sunset was on order and this is one of our favourite spots. As it was supper time we decided to eat out and despite visiting the beach over the last five years we had never been into the ship as we dont really like tourist pubs we were pleasantly surprised! the owners who have only been in the pub for nine months were welcoming friendly and genuinely knew what they were doing. As it was a Sunday the resturant was closed and they dont normally serve food on a Sunday evening but as there were a lot of people around they were doing bar food. The food was very well cooked presented nicely and was plentiful price wise it was what i would call average for a pub in a very nice location so all in all a very pleasant experienced but in the summer months i woyld suggest booking a table to ensure you can enjiy the experience.

Called here on our last evening staying in our touring caravan nearby, for an evening meal. Very friendly staff and other customers. The food was good, the reason for me not giving 5 stars is that they had run out of cod and my husband was really hoping for the fis and chips. The chips are wonderful by the way. I had the chicken curry which was delicious. I will definitely go back if we’re in the area, although I can imagine in peak season it would get very busy!

We decided to go for a meal to the Ship after visiting for a drink and the food looked nice. We returned a couple of nights later and ordered our meals. The food that we received was very nice and would recommend to others although I do believe it was over priced for a bar meal.My main concern is the number of dogs that entered the pub while we were eating- how on earth do they meet hygiene standards with animals all around us. The owners obviously love dogs as they stopped to pat and play with a dog behind us only to arrive minutes later carrying our food! Some dogs were left off the lead and ran towards another couple and their dog as they entered the pub. Another was barking in the corner. We ate our food and left as soon as possible as you could not relax in such an atmosphere.

Poor food, frozen burgers, no fish (apparently owner says it's not in season!!!), frozen and undercooked chips, owner very dismissive and rude, cheap watery ketchup in a Heinz bottle. No wonder people have stopped coming here. Long time visited pub has been ruined by the new owners and they don't care either. Don't waste your money. you

OK Chai overview: Bit too spicy for us. It was OK Chai. Room for improvement of recipe and blend. Price of Chai (regular): £3.85 - O Coffee one was okay. The chai was a little inconsistent and clumpy but you know what, IT TRIED. And that is what matters most. What are we all if not a little inconsistent and clumpy? A little rough around the edges? I know I am. I appreciated the chai, and I will continue to do so. I also liked the barista dude he's a nice guy. - Overall rating 3/5 - <3 3.5/5 - Spice 3/5 - Consistency 2/5 - Price 3/5 - K I love coffee one's atmosphere. Very studious, however the chai recipe still needs to learn a lot. It was OK Chai, not blown away by it, but it wasn't bad. Very much in the middle, not failing, but not excelling. This is really reflected through the consistency, which felt a little gritty under the teeth. However, the staff were so lovely and they are absolutely amazing. A* for them. The Chai however? Solid C grade. - Overall rating 2.9/5 - Price 2.8/5 - Spice 3/5 - Milk options 4/5 - Smooth 2/5

We like the Coffee No 1 chain and as we were in Cardigan on holiday, we popped in their coffee shop, along with the dog, for a short while. As with all Coffee No 1 shops, the staff are lovely - they even gave us a bowl of water for the dog. The coffees and Welsh cakes are delicious and all in all, we spent a lovely 40 minutes or so in the shop.

Absolutely shocking service. The attitude on the person who has just served us was appalling !!!!! I don’t think she’d appreciate being treated in the same way. Practically threw the food at us and that wasn’t before stalling everything on the counter. Clearly everything was an issue. Sadly she didn’t wear a name badge but looking at previous complaints the manager has the same bad attitude so I’m guessing it was her. I have written a complaint to their head office and I hope she is reprimanded. In such a pandemic she is lucky to still be in employment. I won’t be calling again.

This is the best charging stop in the UK. Free parking while you charge. 50p/kWh for a rapid charger. The Fuuse App works easily. Great value food in a clean restaurant and free entry to the National Library of Wales. This is the future of EV charging. If only all charging stops could be like this.
