The Moody Cow Farm Shop and Welsh Bistro in Ceredigion

We were staying at the campsite on a hot tub pitch so it was perfect for a Friday night dinner for me and my wife. The bistro has a fantastic vibe and atmosphere. couch seating areas for coffee, drinks, cake etc. and a dog friendly section. Tomos the cat was in residence as usual. Great character and part of the place. Our food was fantastic. 2 courses, wine and beer for two people for under £60. Fresh and tasty. great flavours and textures. Lovely staff always. A great place, been before, will go again.

Food excellent. Mandy was very nice to deal with. However the other lady who served us was rushing us to order, was disengaged and lacking people skills.

Just back from a lovely evening meal at The Moody Cow Bistro near Aberaeron. What a great place to eat - lovely atmosphere, staff, food & drink. Good value for money - so much better than the expensive (& not as good) restaurants in Aberaeron town itself! Will definitely be going again.

We are so pleased with our first visit to this restaurant. The warm ambience, friendly staff, yummy food and clean surroundings and the place is huge! It's a pity that we discover this place so late when we are about to leave Wales for good.

we were staying about 30 mins away and had heard about it so we thought we would come for lunch. Everything was nicely presented and we ordered the soup of the day (tomato and red pepper) super tasty and hot, my only complaint was that it was acidic but otherwise tasty. Would definitely recommend 👌

We ate in the bistro twice and can honestly say that it's some of the best food we've had. The portions were, if anything, a little too generous. I had the field mushrooms one night - absolutely gorgeous and much more imaginative than the usual vegetarian options! The bara brith brownie was also beautiful.

We stayed in an apartment not far from the Moody Cow and initially went thereto pass the time until we could check in. We loved it from the moment we walked past the bar. Whoever designed the space has a real flair for it. There are plenty of tables for all size groups. The tables chairs , sofas armchairs are all diferent in some way so it doesnt feel " standardised" and it has character. There are things for toddlers to do, it even has an illuminated sign for the "Naughty Corner" Around the premises are a variety of signs all of which will raise a smiler They have a choice of drinks, not a massive range but something for most tastes. The have a selection of low and no alcohol drinks. We liked so much that we went there twice for lunch. We did notice it is popular with the locals and seems to be a place where families regularly meet. At the rear there is alarge lake and we were lucky enough to see two juvenile cormorants helping themselves to the residents Even midweek the Moody Cow is busy but it never seemed crowded, Prices are reasonable and the food is tasty and very well presented The car park is large, but has no designated disabled bays. We are returning to the area next year and will definately be revisiting the Moody Cow

We couldn't say enough good things about this restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and the food was fantastic. My husband had the porterhouse steak with chargrilled prawns, and i had the ham and chips from the childrens' menu and a delicious side salad. The dogs were all happy too - two members of staff offered to get them water bowls, and the restaurant is so spacious all four dogs were able to lie on the floor and not be in the way. We'd definitely go again and highly recommnend it.

Ate the most delicious dinner here this evening. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, busy night but not noisy - the service was superb and the quality of the food was outstanding- best rib-eye steak I have had in years. Well priced and a varied menu Fantastic!

Visit here for the carvery on the Sunday was amazing my parents also went in the week same again the ladies in the shop near the restaurant our always very polite and very happy !!

We had the best beef ever in this place. It is well located, the staff is very friendly, they have a good variety of meals and it is also dog friendly.

I’ve been twice in the last two weeks, one for a work outing and the other with my husband. When I went with my college, we all agreed the menu was great and the food was amazing. However the staff were terrible. But we put it down to being a big group and the place was busy………. Nope, that wasn’t the case. I returned with my husband only a week later after telling him how amazing the food was. (Again the food was impeccable, hats off to the kitchen). But not so much for the waiting staff. The waiting time for drinks was slow, it took a long time for someone to take are order too, the best part of it all was when we asked to look at the dessert menu, after wait 20mins for someone to take our order we decided to go home. (Gutted as the pudding sounded so good). At this point we were so fed up. If you wish you place a leaving time on your tables I suggest to working on the speed and manors of your staff.

We went here after being recommend from a local, we had a lovely time bar staff were very friendly and helpful, food was delicious we will defo be back when we come back to Aberaeron. Furnishings of the place were lovely we really liked it here and would highly recommend to anyone else local or visiting. Lovely place! We stayed here in our motorhome. Really clean with all the facilities needed. The restaurant is quirky and has hidden corners to make you feel at home. Dogs are welcome which was a bonus for us. Food was good!
