Food is really good, but definitely not healthy. The prices aren't too bad and they're always generous with sources and whatnot, it's a tragedy they're not on Uber eats but oh well. Food is really good but no seating and tiny ordering area. Service was pretty good though and it's open late.

I don't think you'll find a better takeaway in Aber. Good prices, good food, open late all week round and lovely people behind the counter. Can't say I've ever regretted eating from here.

Me and my 3 children got dinner from here on a recommendation, they did not disappint! Delicious food, kid friendly and very friendly staff... One of the best chicken shops I've been to!

We ordered their fried chicken & jalapeños balls. Food was tasty. The staff is thoughtful & kind. He kept our chicken warm while he was preparing for our second order. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience except when the cashier farted on my 11 yr old son. very uwu it made my animal instincts unleash and I started meowing while projectile vomiting as i layed on my tummy tum tum. Chiken good. mumsfillibaba

I have to say the best chicken shop around family run friendly service fresh chicken the buns are just as good & this will be a shocker to most but the fries are out of this world I mean what more can you ask for and the prices we'll get down there and find out trust me you won't be disappointed

Very quiet but lovely welcome and service. Tried a few items on the menu, the chicken burger with lettuce and garlic mayonnaise was lovely. Chips were perfect and mozzarella sticks were stunning.

Came here a few years back and had some really good food. Fair price, good quality and good portion. Enjoyed the chicken burger and Bossman was very friendly!

Really quick and efficient service, kind staff who were happy for a chat. The food was really reasonably priced and good sized portions. To top it all off, the food was delicious. Brilliant for a late night snack.

*Ordered in-person* Chips just with the salt on the top of it. I don't know how and why they put the cheese and beans on the top of it especially when it is not demanded or ordered. Felt cheated when paid £4.20 just for the salted chips which only cost £1.50.

Really good prices, you can get a nice amount of for low a decent price. The chicken is to die for!, lovely staff. Would 110% recommend.

Went here after a night out, best chicken burger we've had in a long time, lovely peppery batter. Highly recommend.

Come here quite a bit now, good value for money. Got to know staff and they have some problems with communication but a little patience goes a long way. Quick on food and they are nice. Helped us with any misunderstanding.

The place you go to after a night out (you are drunk as F and can't walk properly) but you should expect some weird stuff to happen to your stomach the next day. You have been warned 🙃

It's 3am, you're drink, you've left pier and you see it looking at you. KFC is closed, so what are you going to do? You're going to buy a ridiculous amount of chicken from lip lickin', you're going to eat it all and think you've discovered Aber's best kept secret. Then you're going to wake up in the morning and realise your toilet bound for the next few days. How can something that tastes so good hurt you in this way? I don't know, but I do know i kept repeating the mistake all throughout uni.

Lousy food. The only good thing is that it is open late.

It's actually really good. Better than KFC, bigger portions for your money and it tastes pretty good.

It was all good food, always good after a nigh tout with some friends and open late, which is perfect. But I have herd rumors that the chicken is actually seagull (but I have no proof or confirmation of this... might just be an inside joke?).

It was a good option a couple of years ago. Each year in September they raise prices. This year prices went up around 0.4£ in whole menu. It's not good at all. Woman who works there is mingy. She doesn't put enough sauce on the burgers and she's not keeping buns for long enough on the grill to have them crispy. KFC and McDonald's prices are the same every year.

been going here since 1999. Same old couple, always friendly and always pleased to see me. Good, fresh, cheap food. Not much choice - if you don't want chicken or fries but it doesn't pretend to be anything different.

Orderd a home delivery which should of been 15 hot wings and chips with tomato ketchup on, I received 15 hot wings with ketchup and 2 chicken legs! Will never order from this takeaway again.

Finishing work on bank holiday Sunday trying to find somewhere to eat I realised options were going to be limited. Even takeaways had people ppourin out the doors. Then I noticed a tired old looking shabby building on the corner. The sort of place that you want after a heavy night. I was there early though, about 8 ish. Served by a very friendly woman I had a veggie burger, fries and a drink all for just a fiver. Hit the spot after a solid days work. Hungry Rysh satisfied.

Every time my friends and I go out in Aberystwyth, it is a tradition before going home having this chicken. The best in Aberystwyth, it is a must.

I 've been to this restaurant many times with my friends. The friend chickens never disappointed us. The owner is so friendly but his son is not. I don't care much about his son after all the chicken cover up everything. Should open more franchise all over the UK. Thumbs up.

This is eatery is the heart of Aber's night life scene. Get your drink on, get it on some more, then get the BEST chicken wings and nuggets in the city!

We come here as often as we can and love their chicken. Its the best!! Always look forward to going and never had a bad meal ever from here!

We regularly eat here & have never had a bad or poor meal. Out takeaway is always perfectly cooked & served with a smile. The service is great & everywhere spotlessly clean.

Great meal, never tasted as delicious as this fried chicken. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are coming drunk from pier or yokos) Mainly, i choose menu 4, but 5 is also good one. Dont forget to ask for cheese ;)

When I first came to Aber as a student I heard plenty of bad things about this place and avoided it lile the plague in the first year. Now I know much better than that.It may not look like much but the food is great, so much so I even eat it sober some times and the staff are some of the nicest people in the town. The place was just awarded a hygiene rating of 5/5 as well, which is a nice bonus.

Such a shame as the food itself is ok, but it's having people like alun jones a known criminal who seems above the law that tarnished this place for many locals. To my knowledge the other staff are regular folk, but the criminal in question was also known for a criminally run restaurant named sherlocks which was an overdrawn failure, how he continued to bribe or avoid health and safety inspectors for so long remains a mystery.This guy actually mortgaged his own parents home via fraud and wrecked them financially at 16 to start a business and everyone knows this in Aberystwyth except students. He is also known for low grade meat purchasing and a whole lot more, some of which is too vulgar to be written here, make your own mind up folks, heck ask them if he still a partner or works there, the eyes should chill you to the bone to know he isn't a nice person at all.To any potential owner or the old main owner - If you value your business reputation Plz ensure this degenerate is no longer working there and it would do way better.Theres 114 people so far that I know of that are local and avoid this place, granted he may recently no longer be a part of the business anymore but that's a lot of people against Mr Jones as obviously he no doubt has hurt other people physically and financially that we dont know of.. So there's likely way more victims and that's a of potential profit lost in such a small town.

We have been buying take always here at least once a month all the year round for a number of years now & have never had a bad meal yet. . This is why I cannot understand some of the comments on here. We have always had good, pleasant service from the staff & have no complaints about the food at all We buy our take away & sit in the car on the prom & enjoy them. The coating on the chicken is beautiful & the meals are always piping hot.

For an experience that will certainly turn the bravest of stomachs, Lip lickin chicken is the Sweeney Todd of Wales. Some say that they chicken is the bodies of those students who died prematurely. If you have had struggle passing a bowel movement, i can recommend no other place to loosen the stools. By far and above the worst eatery ever, it has been closed several times by environmental health. The veggie burgers are fried in chicken fat. Stay well clear. You have been warned

If you want a perfectly spiced chicken- it's a right place- 5 times cheaper than kfc and 100 times better than kfc!!!Lovely- clean kitchen, fresh chicken, always perfectly cooked

Not exactly 5 star food but its lush and definitely better than any other chicken places in town

came out of the Pier and could smell it cooking, just had to have some chicken to soak up the beer, staff are very friendly and the place was clean

I used to go here after every night out and even now when I've gone off meat, I still crave it. they do gorgeous chicken but dont bother with the mayonnaise (its nothing like helmans ha) great alternative to KFC.

Cheapest option at 4am! Quick, simple service.Only down side to lip lickin is as soon as you leave your attacked by birds.
