The food was amazing, have never been to a Chinese takeaway that gets egg fried rice right like this business does, lovely customer service from the owner and delivery driver, will definitely be back again.

We here on holiday and thought we would try these. Delivery was as quick as Usain bolt! Food was lovely full of flavour. Shame we live 3hrs away or we would deffo use again.

We tried Hai Yang after a recommendation from a friend. We ordered a lot of food for a special occasion. The lady on the phone was very friendly and took our order quickly and read it back to me, to confirm it all. We are 7 miles away so we were surprised that it arrived so fast and was still piping hot. The delivery guy was also very efficient and friendly. We had 14 different dishes, and we all agree that each one was perfection! The curry sauce is their own, made in house. I can cook a lot of Chinese dishes, and their curry sauce was light, fresh and delicious. I was surprised at the colour, it is brighter than most other curry sauces i’ve had, but it tasted excellent. The egg fried rice was perfect, properly but not overly laced with Soy sauce. Chinese chips are always nice when cooked in groundnut oil, and Hai Yang does theirs this way. We couldn’t fault one thing, so thank you for a real treat.

Excellent Chinese food, easily better than anything near me in east London - the order included Singapore rice, crispy duck, and Szechuan pork and each was delicious with large portions cooked perfectly. The owners are lovely also. 🙌👌👍

Had food delivered to woodlands camping at Devils bridge Friday evening, delivered in an hour, nice and hot and really tasty!!

This is the only place I'll get Chinese food from, when I'm at our caravan, beautiful tender chicken and the chips are to die for

My crispy beef arrived without any sauce at all and it tasted like old oil, big disappointment. On the top of that, I ordered chow mien where everything was overcooked.

What an amazing takeaway! The food was absolutely delicious - we’re from Bristol/Gloucestershire and this aced anything we get at home. So fresh tasting - not packed with sugar. Plus the lovely lady at the counter made the whole experience great. We had king prawn vermicelli noodles, roasted duck Chinese style (winner), curry sauce and some battered chicken balls. Can’t wait to visit again.

I absolutely love the food from here. The bbq ribs are beautiful. The service from the lady who answers the phone to the delivery driver is A1. From me.. Highly recommend this take away. Great food always visit on holiday

I've been eating here every couple of months for years. The food and service are consistently good and a meal from Hai Yang always feels like a treat.

Excellent food! Delicious crispy chicken and spring rolls Tasty King Prawn Fu yung, egg fried rice and chicken and noodle soup. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it all. Piping hot food, friendly delivery driver, I would highly recommend.

Food tasted ok, blatantly bulk cooked and reheated in microwave, very greasy, only thing that tasted fresh was the curry sauce. Spring rolls over done yet mushy on inside? Not the worst I've had, but not worth the money in my opinion.

The Salt & Chilli Chicken dish was very nice but was in my opinion the saltiest out of all of the Salt & Chilli Chicken dishes I have tried in Aber. Instead of pieces/nuggets of chicken it was flattened breast and deep fried in a batter and sliced. The fried rice was probably the best in Aber.

Called for a takeaway on my way home. I had to wait longer than expected, but they were very busy indeed. My meal was very nice, as usual.

It is clear that this Takeaway prepares their own food as well as getting stock from suppliers. The spring rolls are heaven; they have a thick coating and a generous amount of vegetables.

This was the first time I have visited the Hai Yang take away and I was very impressed. They had a lovely clean waiting area. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. 5 stars from me and I will definitely be recommending it to my family and friends.

Our go to place for a Chinese while on holiday in Aberystwyth for the past 9 years . The service and quality of food is second to none . They deliver to the holiday park and it always arrives on time , hot and fresh. We would highly recommend Hai Yang as we have tried all the other Chinese restaurants and this one comes out on top. People on holiday always compare to ‘back home’ and yes this one ticks all the boxes. Thanks to all the staff/ chef at Hai Yang for our Friday treat after a long drive.

Had takeaway from here early Saturday eve as it is local to our holiday home. Friendly service and cheap but sadly the food was awful. We had two special house curry with rice, and a chicken satay starter. The sauce for the curry glowed in the dark and was watered down. The meat clearly had not been cooked in the sauce as it was insipid. One of the rice was mushroom and they had been deep fried. If you want cheap and you don't care then give it a try but sadly we won't be returning.

Crazy busy but excellent service!

To be honest, the food we've received over the years from Hai Yang has always been excellent, but delivery can be hit and miss. Tonight I ordered a takeaway at 5:15 and was told delivery would be between 60 and 75 minutes. two and a quarter hours later, an hour late still no delivery. Called the restaurant and a young lady didn't think of apologizing but said she wasn't withholding my takeaway on purpose. In fact, the delivery has only just left at that point. The driver finally arrived and was told if it's cold, take it up with Hai Yang which doesn't build confidence As I said the food is good, but tonight's delivery was shambolic

Every time I come home to Aberystwyth, I always make sure I have a meal from Hai Yang. I've never had a bad meal/experience. The service is always 100% spot on, from ordering to delivery, and in my opinion, it is the best Chinese food around. Highly recommend the hot and sour soup 👌

Wow it's not often I feel compelled to write a review but .... We have not just had the worst Chinese takeaway from Hai Yang but probably the worst takeaway ever. I'm a good eater but in all honesty I can't actually eat this. Singapore chowmein that actually tasted like super noodles and bad ones. Really not impressed that I actually parted with money for the experience. Maybe they are having an off day but I certainly will not revisit to find out.
