We’ve had lovely chips from here in the past but visited today and we were truly disappointed, the chips were inedible and the batter on the sausage was terrible.

After having lively food here before we visited again to our disappointment. The chips were inedible and the batter on the sausage was terrible.

Drove here in the hope to find good fish and chips and we were not disappointed. These were some of the best we have had in a while - had cod chip and peas service was quick and it was a good price

Great welcome and amazing fish & chip supper! Cooked fresh, there’s a view to enjoy while you wait! Great portion size and the tastiest batter! Superb value! Cracking find and perfect spot to enjoy on the beach.

Just had a portion of chips from here after a beautiful long walk . Really friendly staff and the chips were amazing! Crispy on outside fluffy in the middle. Definitely recommend.

Recently ate here whilst on holiday in Aberporth, took our food to the beach to eat, 100% recommend, lovely chicken bites and the fish and chips were lovely too. A must if you visit Aberporth

We enjoyed a rainy fish & chips sat inside the car in the car park across the road from Caffi Sgadan. The chips were great and the fish was delicious. Service was prompt and polite. We waited no longer than 10mins. Highly recommend a visit!

What can I say apart from the honest facts that this fish and chip shop is without a doubt one of the best chip shops I have had the pleasure of eating from. The staff are all very pleasant and talkative, the food is 1st class, and the whole shop is extremely clean. The shop is extremely well positioned with 2 beaches literally just across a road with one to the right and the other one to the left of the car parks. During the holidays, it even sells ice creams for the kiddies and the pub next door ( When it's open ) sometimes sells some stuff for the grown-ups too. It does get busy around lunchtime and teatime so be prepared for a bit of a wait. You will not be disappointed.

Probably the best chips I've ever had from a takeaway. Everything was good, but the chips are amazing. There are a couple of tables outside where you can sit and eat, with fabulous views of the sea and beach.

This has always been our favourite chip shop for years when holidaying in the area. Lovely new building, good value food. Little grump though, I thought the chips used be chunkier! Still very tasty.

They certainly won't breach the trade descriptions act with their "small" menu items, the battered sausage was exactly that, all 2½ inches of it, and the small cod would not have looked out of place in a goldfish bowl. The "chips" were deep fried "fries" mixed with the odd bits of batter left behind from previous items. Very disappointing by comparison to every other chip shop we've bought from. We won't go back.

Beautiful fish and chip shop with outstanding prices

We are a family of four and went here for dinner. There chips was soggy and the meal size for what we paid was awful. The burgers were also tasteless and the bottom of the buns were rock hard. I wouldn't recommend this place and we won't be going back there.

We visited this establishment as family and friends. All members of our group enjoyed their meals. Nothing was greasy chips were crispy and the curry sauce was to die for. Well worth a visit.

Ordered two cods and three chips and paid over £20 and the two lots of chips were missing and the fish was very greasy, very disappointed

A gem of a location! Amazing burgers and fries! I would highly recommend their food.

The fish and chips were fine, but their idea of large fish is the size of small fish in my local chippy near Malvern. Disappointing when you are by the sea.

Burgers and loaded fries are pure perfection. Possibly the best fast food in Wales? I simply must leave a 5* for this place. We discovered this gem a year ago and just kept coming back for more. Somehow this little business manages to match the speed of a international franchise like McDonald's, while offering vastly better tasting food at a much lower price in a gorgeous location. What is not to love? All the staff there is great, I wish them all the best! P.S. You guys should increase the prices and maybe look into some home made sauces for the burgers and fries, I would gladly pay extra for quality stuff.

Stopped for fish and chips by the beach. The chippy is right next to the car park, so perfectly located. The fish was excellent. Lovely flakes with a nice, light batter. I was sceptical about the chips at first as they are thinner than many chippies, and I usually like big chunky chips, but when I ate them I needn't have worried. Very good chips.

This seaside chippy with an extensive menu should get back to basics! Our family of four had a variety of items from their menu, we all found the chips unsatisfactory, a mixture of: small chips done to a crisp; thin unsatisfying chips seemingly cut from the edge of the potato; hardly any long regular chips. It felt like we had the scrapings from the bottom of the frier! It wasn't as if they were not busy, there was a queue out of the door on Sunday lunchtime! I would not have written this review were it not that I chose the Scampi, but when I opened the wrapper what I had appeared to be "battered cockles". This stuff contained zero langoustine, and to be sold as such is illegal! Now being on holiday, I had no intention of taking my lunch to the public analyst, it went straight in the bin! But I will be contacting Ceredigion County Council so their food inspectors can pay a visit to provide advice, before that I suggest this establishment does their research on the legal content of scampi.

A very good fish and chip shop right on the beach with a car park opposite. High quality regular food items from a chippy, plus some unexpected items such as loaded fries which were a welcome surprise. Good range of icecreams on sale also. A little on the pricey side - chicken nuggets, loaded fries and a curry sauce £11.

Fantastic fish and chip shop- probably the best I’ve ever had anywhere and I grew up by the seaside. Quick service reasonable prices and absolutely no faults.

Truly awful! Two hungry, non-fussy teenagers - both burgers went in the bin. Two hungry adults - fish went in the bin. Soggy, undercooked chips. Struggled to find the fish, as it was tiny and wrapped in an inch of soggy, fatty batter. If you like soggy chips and batter - fill your boots.

Popcorn cockles….what a change from fish or scampi and absolutely delicious

We’ll what can you say, tried numerous things from this chip shop and everything is delicious and incredibly fresh. Whether you have the god or the home made chicken curry it is exceptionally tasty. Fab team of staff there too….diolch

I have just ordered a large chips and small cod from this chip shop. When I opened it I was shocked at the two very small pieces of cod i have seen in 45 years. Think chicken nuggets for comparison. The staff told me that cod was expensive but my word, I gave it back as I will not be ripped off, inflation or not!! The Chips were ok. cost £8.

Can't beat fresh Fish & Chips by the sea. A beautiful, soft sandy, dog friendly beach to enjoy the meal. The ice cream here is lovely two. Polite and welcoming staff. Happy to visit again soon.

Excellent fish & chips right by the beach. They also serve plenty of other options such as pies & sausage. The rissoles are very tasty and recommended. There are 2 small table outside but it is just a short walk to find a public bench so plenty of options if the weather is dry. The view is amazing & make sure to try the ice cream too

So good we went a couple of times during our stay in Aberporth. We're not usually a fan of fish and chips however as we were at the beach it would have been rude not to have got any. We had the best fish and chips we've ever had. The fish batter was wonderfully cooked - crisp and tasty and chips were cooked well too. My son particularly liked the squid and chips! A bit of a wait following the order but that may have been my timing. Certainly don't mind if the food is delicious - well done team! Would highly recommend.

Chips were really good, not too fat and not too thin and cooked with a bit of colour for extra taste and and a few crispy bits. Cod was moist and perfectly cooked, though a small criticism was the batter was a bit soft on the bottom but still had some crispiness. All freshly cooked. For a busy bank holiday weekend with the queue out the door the staff were friendly and efficient, so the wait wasn't too long.

Been visiting this chippy two or three times a year for the past few years. It seems that since the two other similar establishments have closed down, the prices have shot up ( as it is everywhere ) but also higher than those on their flyer. At the same time, the portions have shrunk. The so called large cod seems smaller than the small cod we have had previously. After many excellent previous experiences this time we were left very disappointed

Superb fish and chips. Thick, flakes of cod. Very hot. Lovely crisp batter. Cooked to order, so be prepared to wait a few minutes. You can sit on beautiful Aberporth beach to eat your dinner. What more could you ask for?

Visited here to take our dog to the beach as we were staying nearby. Didn't intend to have fish and chips but the smell enticed us in! Two lovely friendly girls served up some tasty fish and chips that went down a treat! Good portion size of both the fish and the chips. Will definitely go back again the next time we are holiiday in the area.

Been loads of times now. This chippy never disappoints. The portions are very generous, even the little ones. Best fresh fish I've had for ages - no need for a large fish either, the small one will fill you! Gorgeous gravy - lovely crispy chips - if you don't like crispy chips, this is not the chippy for you. 10/10

Couldn’t call the portion actual chips. More like tiny bits of chips! All the last Dreges of the chip pan it seems! Not a single proper chip! Sausage was old and wrinkled but with fresh batter and the curry was artificial tasting and too hot....
