Found this cafe on line, glad we did, the guys were so welcoming, even the dog was welcomed in. We both had the big cooked breakfast, wow, it’s not very often I actually enjoy a cooked breakfast but this was amazing, really good quality ingredients cooked perfectly. We’d happily go back.

This was one of the best Inns in this area and used by many locals and tourists who all had great service and food both at lunch times and evenings. We are local and are now finding our way around other local places to eat. Try The Tram Inn Eardisley which is our choice to date. Also Black Mountain lodge at Glasbury is a good Sunday Lunch. Avoid Hay-on-Wye, all too expensive and not very exiting.

During our holiday in welshpool ans having searched for a pub in Mid Wales the Bradford arms seemed the best bet for lunch one day. We also liked the sound of the nearby canal and the heritage site. We arrived just after opening time with our dog and he was greeted with a bowl of water and a treat while we decided what to eat and drink. The menu, offered a good choice and the excellent cask ales and on tap cider fulfilled our immediate needs The food, excellent steak pie for one and superb faggots and mash for another were obviously locally sourced and served with ample freshly cooiked vegetables. The staff made us very welcome and we enjoyed a pleasnt 90 minutes eating drinking and being looked after by the landlord and staff. I would recommend it to anyone.

Traditional Welsh pub serving big portions of good pub food. Hot, well cooked and tasty. Service good without being intrusive. Coronavirus measures in place

Probably the best casual eating place in town. Had soup and bread which was some of the best I’ve eaten. Artisan bread & butter to accompany delicious leek & potato soup. Carrot cake was to die for. Service was outstanding. Hay can be very expensive and not deliver; this is very reasonable and you are supporting this wonderful building.

Really friendly staff and excellent food. The menu has lots of choice, and is great if you love curry. The place is clean and tidy, with plenty of space to relax. Excellent pint of Madri to. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic. Such a lovely, welcoming pub (clearly popular with the local community). Food was sublime - evidenced by our clean plates (I had to stop my husband from literally licking his plate clean!). Such an amazing dining experience, will definitely return.

We were heading home to Somerset with our dogs and we were hungry. We weren’t sure if it was dog friendly, or even if they did food. The friendly young lady said that they could do both. Our lunch arrived and was huge, really lovely, and very reasonably priced. The staff were very welcoming ,friendly and lovely to our dogs. In short, most pubs lack something no matter how small, but not this one 10 out of 10 for everything. The best In the UK.

I have literally just visited this cafe and while I appreciate it was busy I waited nearly 25 minutes for a toasted tea cake which was burnt to buggery and my friends had toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches which they chose to leave ….. so basically a £22.99 bill for very little. We shan’t be back

Phenomenal range of specialist range of food, a vegan & vegetarian paradise. Lots of help from the staff if needed. Food is served, seating primarily upstairs, we are not vegan or vegetarian however, we thoroughly enjoyed the food, changed our minds about flavours.

Sunday night , we travel when we can to here from Tenby only 74 miles , stay at the Wellington Hotel ( see separate review ) This is the best Indian by a long long shot . Food is amazing . This time it was the best Onion Bhagis as starter followed by for Linzi Handi Lamb Slow cooked lamb in an intense aromatic curry of caramelised onions and yoghurt. Flavoured with mace, cardamon & dry-rose petals. Scented with whole garam masala and for me Chicken Dalwala Small pieces of chicken tikka cooked with fried potatoes, pieces of lemon, selected spices and herbs in a thick lentil sauce, medium strength, very nice and tasty, Chapati for me , Linzi had a Peshawari Naan , and we shared two portions of Pilau Rice , now two days on and I am still saying out a loud " god that was a good meal . Already planning a trip back up to Brecon . We like Sunday night as traffic on the roads quiet and the Sunday in the restaurant also apart from a Vegetarian drunk and her partner we had the staff and restaurant to our selves . It's a shame what alcohol and vegetables can do to some one !! Back soon love this place did I mention the big portions. PS I like a restaurant where they welcome you back with a smile and a nod of exceptantance of welcome back mr Tenby .
