The View certainly has the Wow Factor! From the comfortable, modern vibe to the fabulous hosting, Lorraine with her team made our Sunday lunchtime ( and Friday coffees) an absolute pleasure. It really did feel like the customer’s needs were at the heart of what is offered. The carvery totally reached the spot with a very reasonable price tag. What more could we have hoped for. Thank you x

Unfortunately, Penycraig (amazing site) shares it's land with these lovely shiny happy people that run Brynrodyn or 'The View'. We've been staying at Penycraig for the last 9 years and have had access to 'The View's facilities and have ploughed money into their bar, restaurant and games room. I appreciate that due to Covid things are strange but their rules didn't stop me and my daughter feeding money into their game machines last year. This weekend, the same as the weekends over the last 9 years my daughter and I entered the games room where there were other children and we were asked to leave. Given the reputation of the family that run Brynrodyn or 'The View' it didn't surprise me. Do yourselves a favour and find a nice family orientated site not one that strives to take your money and be bloody miserable.

Extremely Unfriendly staff and lack of atmosphere. Perhaps a bit of music would help. The reason why the outdoor area was closed despite it being a beautiful day was frustrating to say the least. Food was poor. Service was poor. Will not return.

Visited The View on a sunny Friday evening. Upon arrival we noticed people sitting on the balcony enjoying the view and thought that it would be a wonderful idea for us to have our food there. We went straight to the bar and asked if we could have our meal at the balcony, but were told that we were only allowed to eat in the dining area. The dining area was a dark corner, out of sight from the main windows that had the beautiful view, with only on8e window showing the road and no atmosphere. So considering this place is called "The View", we weren't allowed to sit on the balcony or anywhere near to be able to enjoy "The View". My second complaint is to do with the menu. The menu advertised online was completely different to the one we were presented with. For example, the gammon pricing online was around £9 and the gammon pricing in the restaurant was around £12. The menu we were presented with was very limited compared to the one online. We felt this was a very unfair representation of what we should expect. Lastly, the food. There was nothing wrong with the food as such, but for the price we paid we expected much more. My partner ordered a burger, it was very standard for the price paid. Myself, I ordered a margarita pizza priced at £11, advertised online for £8. We paid £11 for what resembled a frozen pizza, the kind you could buy from Iceland, the size of a child's portion with no sides. An overall disappointing experience, and a shame as it is such a wonderful location with so much potential.

We visited The View whilst staying on the site. It was fantastic, it had well priced drinks and the food looked amazing (we were late to The View so never ate). We spent the day at Brynrodyn and visited The View. The View was clean, tidy and wheelchair friendly. It was immaculate throughout and the service was outstanding. We had 6 meals, and thought the lamb and chicken dishes were outstanding. The staff were attentive and made sure every need was met. The children enjoyed the games room and soft play area after we had enjoyed some time at the beach. We would highly recommend a visit!

We stayed here for the Easter weekend in our touring caravan. Great location with fantastic facilities. The views are breathtaking. We ate at the restaurant and it was good value and good quality. The children’s portions where huge!! The evening entertainment was ok too, bar well stocked and reasonably priced. We’ll definitely return. It was busy too which is a reflection of what you get there. Facilities are clean and in very good order. Only downside could be if the weather wasn’t too great as we stayed on a grass pitch. However, it didn’t effect us for our stay. The camping field is huge giving little ones chance to play football etc. with plenty of space. Short walk into Borth for the beach, food/drinks etc and the train station isn’t far if you want to explore further afield. All in all, a solid 9/10!!

We've been to the restaurant quite a few times over the past few years and have always enjoyed the food and the friendly custom. I booked for 7 of us to have lunch on Sunday at 1pm...our table wasn't ready so we sat with our drinks. About 40 minutes later I thought I should ask when our table would be ready as our two boys were getting restless. I also asked if there was a kids' menu and an alternative to carvery and was told there wasn't. I'm sure there have been alternatives when we've visited in the past, but maybe I'm mistaken.

Lovely new building with great views. We were there on curry night so had curries. My husbands beef curry was OK but my "chicken tikka" had fourteen big lumps of new potato in it and was by far the largest ingredient in the curry. I left all the potato lumps on the side of the bowl and ate the tiny chicken component. I complained to a waiter I had to go and find, and when we paid at the bar. No apology, no refund. No one cares!

Went for Sunday lunch with the family as it was the end of my holiday. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived but got busier. Two choices of meat - turkey or beef. I opted for the turkey as the beef was a bit too red for my liking. Lots of options on the vegetables - I didn't have boiled potatoes or the cauliflower cheese. Gravy was delicious. The meal was delicious and the roast potatoes were pretty good. Dessert was a bit disappointing but I still enjoyed it. Would come here again.

We ate at The View twice last week. Firstly the obvious thing to mention is the stunning view, which can be seen from both inside the club house, or by sitting in the beer garden. The staff there are etremely friendly and couldn't have been more helpful with any questions we needed answering. The food came extremely quickly and we found the choice on the menu was plenty, I can't stand a menu which has too much choice on as it is a pain with kids to choose what they want at the best of times. My 10 year old ordered the chicken nuggets and chips from the childrens menu, which were ample for him and he loved the home made chips. Now my five year old had the same meal and he struggled to finish it, but if it didn't quite fill them the options of desserts certainly would. I had the gammon, which came with pineapple, egg, onion rings, tomato and chips- delicious and completely filled me up. My husband had the gourmet burger, lets just say he couldn't manage dessert after. On our second visit we had exactly the same friendly and prompt service and will definitely be returning again. There is a good selection of drinks as well. Second time round my husband and I had the home made lasagne with 2 pieces of garlic bread which I would definitely have again. My eldest then had the gourmet burger, which he couldn't finish. A lovely friendly atmosphere and would highly recommend.

Went for a graduation meal celebration, 8 of us in total, some meals were warm at best, argued whether it was in fact undercooked, that is still for debate, gluten free meals were wrongly prepared in the first instance, parts of the order missing, bacon that was described by staff as cremated, and then when we quite rightly complained some staff very offish. Would never revisit. The views from the restaurant though were glorious, looking out to the sea.

Trip to the coast (about an hour from us) and we fancied a Sunday lunch. Brynrodyn offers a carvery 12-2pm We booked - recommended because it gets busy even out of season and we can see why. Carvery option was roast beef and turkey. We were offered both. Yorkshires, stuffing, peas, glazed carrots and parsnips, crispy roasties, new spuds, sweet potato, cauliflower cheese, choice of gravies (gluten and non) cranberry sauce, horseradish. There were half a dozen pud choices and all offered with scoops of icecream from the cabinet Movenpick. Couldn't fault anything. Location superb. And the sun was out for our walk above the beach and down below. We will be back.

I've been to most of the local Sunday lunch carvery places over the last few years and, more often that not, I've left disappointed - after all a carvery is such a hard thing to get right. With so many distinct elements on the plate there's plenty of opportunity for poor ingredients or small errors in technique to stand out.Not here. Brynrodyn's chef has somehow managed to put together the mythical faultless carvery. The meats are thick sliced, tender and juicy, the roasties are the best I've had in years, crispy but not greasy and with a hint of garlic. Yorkshires that are perfectly risen, a perfect cauliflower cheese, leeks, french beans and bright green peas. The roasted carrots with herbs were worthy of particular praise - they would not be out of place on the side of a plate of food served in any high end restaurant. And the gravy was intense - thick, glossy and so full of flavour it's a revelation. The place itself is a little lacking in atmosphere as it clearly doubles as a function room for the caravan park, but the staff are friendly, everything is spotlessly clean, and the view, for which it's named, is pretty spectacular. All in, an incredibly good plate of food, and at £8 an absolute steal. Do yourself a favour and go soon.

We visited the View as we were staying in a family caravan just down the road at Y-Fron caravan park. Our family recommended visiting the view for Sunday lunch and we are so glad we took their advice. It was quite busy and it's obviously a popular venue not only for the residents on Brynrodryn but also holiday makers staying in the area. Don't let the fact it's on a caravan park put you off. It's open to all and I also advise booking as it's very popular. The carvery was lovely. Plenty of choices and large portions handed out. The price is very cheap which makes it even better! The staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. Many thanks to all at the View for making our lunch such a lovely experience. We will be back!

We were staying at the campsite and wanted take away pizzas. They had run out of pizza so we decided to eat in. The building itself is beautiful and the views are stunning. However, the food is really uninspired and the service was not much better. Our party did do three separate orders so we didn't expect them to arrive all together, but we did expect each individual order to arrive at the same time. This didn't happen so we ended up with some very upset children not understanding why their sister had her dinner and she was still hungry! The portions sizes were fine, but the quality was similar to a weather spoons. It wasn't expensive but I'd expected more for what we paid.

We visited the view whilst on holiday in borth with our 3 month old daughter. We had booked a table early so we could get home early and get our daughter in bed. So we arrived promptly at 6.30 and were told we could sit anywhere. We sat near a window with a view over the coast, which was lovely. We ordered straight away but were given a buzzer. We weren't sure what it was for but it buzzed about an hour and 10 mins later (by which point we were starving but couldn't see any staff to ask how long it would be) so my partner went to the bar and asked what we needed to do. He told us we could only eat in a small area of the restaurant tucked round the back with no view! We were a little shocked that they had told us we could sit anywhere when we arrived, especially with us having a baby and pram, so we clearly had a lot of things to cart across to the other side of the restaurant once we had got drinks (they didn't offer to help, just went out the back again). From where we sat to eat, we could see the staff stood round the back texting on their phones most of the time! There was no one at the bar so we were stood for quite a while waiting to be served. On the plus side though, the view is lovely, place is clean and modern, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I had bbq chicken and my partner had fajitas. Nicely presented and tasted very fresh - so they should do, when it took over an hour to make them! Disappointing that when we asked for the dessert menu he said there's no menu, we have ice cream or strawberries! So we gave it a miss. All in all, we were there over 2 hours and only had 1 course. Quite ridiculous really.

Never again ,we have eaten here before and the food was actually not too bad however I have never met such rude people in my life , the couple who own the view walk around as if they have the weight of the world on their shoulders and everything is too much trouble , very clicky atmosphere which also makes for a poor night out . If the owners took a back seat and stayed out of the way instead of telling children off for petty things such as getting their feet down off the shabby furniture or walking too quickly this place could be wonderful. All of this is a great shame as the venue itself is a fantastic place and could be great with the right ownership/management.Such a shame as we loved the venue just not the owners or the atmosphere.

Visited the caravan park as we are considering buying here. We wandered into The View only to be greeted by smart, friendly staff, more than happy to help and the wonderful smell of the carvery. The restaurant is modern, spotlessly clean, spacious with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We decided to book in for lunch there and then and were not disappointed. My husband had pork and lamb which he says was cooked to perfection and the chef, Manwell was very generous with the portion size. I had chick pea cakes which were full of flavour and a refreshing change from the sometimes unadventurous vege option. Accompanying veg was mash, roast pots, parsnips, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower cheese and I have to say all were really tasty (although I have a feeling, not good for the diet) as quite buttery. Loved it! Puddings to die for, although we did struggle to finish them. We will definitely be going back.

My family and i visited The View at Brynrodyn caravan park to visit friends who were staying on site. We were invited for Sunday lunch unexpectedly, and what a fantastic surprise it was! A carvery style lunch served by the chef himself, with a great selection of meats, roasted vegetables and seasonal vegetables. We could not fault the food, and the staff were friendly and willing to help. The desserts looked mouth watering, but i was too full to sample one!The facilities are excellent and it is a real hidden gem. Prices are very reasonable, and next time we visit we will be sure to buy a bottle of champagne!

Lovely fresh food, able to cater for both vegetarian and gluten free. The chef came out to speak to us about our order and we felt looked after

We went for Sunday lunch. There was Pork loin or Beef to choose from. We chose pork and it was lovely. There were 7 side vegetables, all beautifully cooked also Apple sauce and gravy. For desert there was a large choice. I chose the home made meringues with summer fruits and whipped cream. The meringues were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. They were beautiful as they were not too sweet and the fruit and cream complemented the meringues very well. My husband chose the home made apple flan with ice cream and that was also very much enjoyed. The staff are very welcoming and we will certainly be back. Thank you.

Came for Sunday lunch on 3rd November and the food and service was outstanding. We had 3 courses and each course was lovely. The beef and salmon were perfectly cooked and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The atmosphere was great and we’re looking forward to our next visit very very soon.

What a delightful hotel. Our room was newly decorated, well appointed and beautifully clean. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Plenty of parking. Easy access into Newquay and onward to West Wales. Breakfast was absolutely excellent. Highly recommend the Llanina Arms.
