You will get good dosa here if you are craving for some South Indian flavour. Staff were nice and good music too. Reasonable price.

Regularly visit here with friends and family. Coffee is lovely and the staff are very welcoming. I witnessed a young girl, Abby chatting to an elderly gentleman about his wife being unwell. She took her time with him and offered a listening ear. That’s what blend is all about for me. 👏👏👏

Lovely cafe and great welcome. Food delicious and nicely presented. Don’t normally have a pudding but the home made apple pie with lots of custard superb. Just found on passing by on the A7 as saw nothing in Hawick. Will definitely return and tell my friends in Dumfries and Carlisle.

Food choice limited and unwilling to change the menu in any way. Beans on toast is only served until 1100hrs, but you can still have beans with a jacket potato and a toasted sandwich at lunch, but not beans on toast. We tried 2 cakes (rolo slice and rocky road) - both were awful, full of sugar, soft when they should have been hard and did not taste good at all, they were left on the plate. Very expensive for an underwhelming lunch. The park attached to it is very poorly maintained and very disappointing. THere are hardly any animals to see and the play equipment has not been changed, fixed or upgraded in years by the looks of things. I had been a few years back and it was great, but it has not aged well at all.

I can really recomend both the food and the accomodation at The Craigs Hotel in Callander. We had a lovely stay with a genuine indian dinner, dinner was excellent! friendly staff, in a well looked after hotell. Thankyou from us Lena Hadal and Tim Carter

I’d love to make some comment here about the quality of the food, but I never got to try it. Two of us went in and ordered mixed kebabs, after 10/15 mins one of us was served, of course I naively expected mine to come pretty quickly. After 5 mins I asked the waiter where mine was, he went to the kitchen and an arguement seemed to ensure with lots of pointing at our table, then he came over as said my order had been sent to someone else and they were making me another one (fair enough mistakes happen). After 20 further mins, I said to the waiter I’d now waited longer than the original order took, twice I asked to speak to the manager and twice he just looked over at us and literally walked the other way. I understand that mistakes happen, but was is appalling is pretending they haven’t happened and managers or owners just ignoring it. If you want my advice, visit somewhere that values your custom more

Booked a table at the Cherry Tree the week before we were to travel to Scotland from Derbyshire. We needed a dog friendly pub which this is. On the day we travelled up, they had to shut the kitchen due to a staff injury, however they honoured our booking.. We’ve just had the best service and a lovely pub meal. The dog was brought her own water bowl too. Couldn’t have been more friendly. Good atmosphere too. Great value for money.

We needed to buy some last-minute desserts for vegan visitors. The shop had closed but the owner saw us and opened up the shop for us. We told him what we needed and he took us through everything that could fit, not rushing us in the slightest. The shop had a great range of vegan desserts and we managed to get exactly what we wanted. Very friendly and personal customer service. We will definitely be back.

We had earmarked this place for breakfast one morning and rushed to get down before they stopped serving brekkie at 11:30. We arrived just after but they managed to accommodate us. As I ordered a full Scottish for my husband, I was absolutely delighted to see a gluten-free breakfast listed on the menu. Even the sausage was GF! Other coeliacs might understand that a GF snag is often a bonus when looking for a full fried breakfast. The breakfast arrived with orange juice and a pot of tea as well. Mine was absolutely brilliant. The added addition of haggis (which was not listed on the menu) was a treat since it’s rare to find gluten-free haggis anywhere. Tea was piping hot, the service was impeccable and overall we really enjoyed our visit. Lots of locals with the dogs popping in while we were there and it was nice to see lots frequenting the café. We thought it might be difficult to find somewhere open on a Monday, and indeed some other places were shut, but we were delighted to find Caroline’s was open. Very clean toilets as well.
