We needed to buy some last-minute desserts for vegan visitors. The shop had closed but the owner saw us and opened up the shop for us. We told him what we needed and he took us through everything that could fit, not rushing us in the slightest. The shop had a great range of vegan desserts and we managed to get exactly what we wanted. Very friendly and personal customer service. We will definitely be back.

We are very lucky to have this wonderful deli on our doorstep. The fresh seeded, granary and sourdough bread is amazing, the cake counter is always stacked with treats, the soup is great and the staff are just lovely. They even stock our favourite Lussa gin from Jura. Recently rated by The Times as one of Scotland's best delis...well deserved!

The cafe's are shut on Monday's & Tuesday's in Comrie so the Deli was a god send. They also do home-made ready meals. I had a beef soup (delicious). Do try the 'Wee Comrie' a delicious runny cheese great on oat cakes. Lovely helpful staff. To the lady at the cash desk - I did swim 4 lochs and a river and survived!

Today myself and my husband drove from Blairgowrie to Comrie to visit this quaint village. We had been told about the wild hearth bread they stocked and also strathearn cheese , we were equipped with cool box to purchase several cheeses etc from this shop only on arrival to be met by a very rude female who was serving on the till to be told “ we are closed for lunch “ why was the door open and customers in the shop ?? We were asked if we knew what we wanted we said yes and she grudgingly let us in ,so we managed to get a cheese and some butter but nothing else . What had started out to be a nice shopping experience was ruined by rude staff . Maybe in future if you are shut for lunch close the door and put a closed sign up !

We found this deli quite by accident and what a lovely surprise. We were having difficult finding vegan and vegetarian lunch and a neighbouring cafe recommended it. I had the most delicious couscous salad and samosa and my husband had the broccoli quiche and salad both out of this world. I could have eaten two myself. The quality of the ingredients was first class. Super fresh and by a chef who knows really knows how to cook. Also the presentation was superb and it was place in a take out box with a transparent lid. We only wish we lived closer we'd eat there all the time.

Visit here every time I’m in Perthshire and I love it. The staff are friendly and there are so many freshly prepared food options. Limited seating but nice if you can sit or good to takeaway. My favourite items off the menu are the hot chocolate, apple & cinnamon cake and the toastie but I would happily eat everything. There is also a little shop inside and it’s a good place to buy food gifts.

I was introduced to Hansen's and what a deli. The food is a mix of soups and baguettes/sandwiches but there is a large variety of fillings/combination of fillings. The soups are home made and are absolutely delicious. The counter immediately tempts you with cakes and other delights and there is a modest but good selection of cheeses. Staff are really friendly and very professional. The only reason I have not give it a 5 rating is because it is on the small side when it comes to numbers of tables, although you can eat sitting on stools in the window. Because of the popularity of the place it could do with expanding. Having said this I will happily go back again as prices are quite competitive for artisan catering and the goods on offer.

Popped in for lunch after reading good reviews. We enjoyed hot paninis, one was a tuna melt and the other ham and cheese. They were delicious and helped warm us up on a dreary day. We finished off with a peanut butter brownie and a truffle. Whilst we were there all tables were in use and the server seemed a little bit harassed! This did not detract from our enjoyment as we were in no rush. We also bought some of the items from the deli to take home with us. A very warm welcome from the staff in this well stocked shop and cafe. I had reserved a table as one of our group was in a wheelchair. They also have a large selection of ice creams, cheeses and savoury biscuits, chutneys, jams and honeys, chocolate, wines and chilled drinks. You can even buy one of their delightful hessian bags for your purchases. I was with a couple whose surname was Hansen, hence the reason for our visit, so a bag filled with treats to take away was the cherry. on top of the tart. Their cherry tarts are really tasty. Had a little look around Hansen's Kitchen last week during my visit, Nice selections of little treats and specialty oils, food garnishes and such. You could easily spend quite a bit in there. Noticed seating at the back so you could stay and eat if you wish as thought it was just a deli type environment at first. Had some beautiful, I think made on site, samosa's as this was implied during purchase. I also had a chicken carnation roll, do not usually enjoy chicken carnation to the point of comment, it's normally something I would get when hungry and could not decide on anything else but I would happily go back for another, was very surprised how moreish it was while I sat by the white church looking over the river to eat. Will definitely stop back again, probably to purchase more foodie knick knacks also!

Hansen's looks, and indeed is, a high quality delicatessen shop, pretty well the first one on the left as you come in from Crieff, so easily missed. The dining area at the back of the shop is pretty well invisible from the street, and can only seat about 12 people, so it's a matter of luck if you get in, hence the four stars. But as regards soup, filled rolls or paninis, and home baked cakes, it is worth six. Really super lunch-time fare at very reasonable prices, served by a delightful, young, enthusiastic staff. Plans are apparently in hand for an extension, so roll on next summer!

I may be local but for those who don't know it I would encourage them to visit this excellent deli - and I'm choosy about my delis! The hardworking super-friendly team delivers in spades. Among the many things packed into this tardis of a store is the home baking, savories, salads and prepared food which are all excellent and freshly made. There is a small but seasonal selection of fruits and vegetables and occasionally some wild mushrooms - freshly collected locally as are the farm eggs. You can even order oysters from the west coast! The cheese counter would embarrass many a city deli for it's quality, choice and freshness of it's cheeses. All sorts of things are there to tempt you in jars and packets including their own coffee blends. Finally there is a small but good selection of wines, beers, artisan gin & fine whisky. You can have coffee or a light meal in-store or take it all away for a picnic - or a feast.

Finally decided upon a sausage roll, a panini, a baguette and a tuna sandwich for my 5 year old. Food was all freshly made and tasted lovely. Asked my son what marks out of ten he would give his sandwich. "Ehmmmm....six". The lady who looked after us overheard this and asked him what would have made it a ten. "Cucumber" was the response! So the sandwich was whisked away from under his nose and returned promptly with cucumber! Brilliant personal service! Coffee was also delicious. We enjoyed a great lunch in the cafe of home made ham and tattie soup, with home made bread, a local cheese and beetroot chutney sandwich, tea, lavender infused lemonade, and amazing brownie (figs soaked in brandy), and millionaire shortbread all for £14.30.We took the cakes away - far too good!

Worthy of up market Edinburgh. Great for foodies. Very delicious freshly baked goods. A little cramped when busy as it is very popular. Just felt it was a little bit pretentious for my taste

Second visit here - stopped off for some lunch with children again.Three of us had soup - 5-a-day in a bowl - 2 of us had Tomato Basil and Courgette and our daughter had Chicken Noodle - both were incredibly thick and packed full of tasty vegetables, served with a full sized buttered baguette. Our youngest daughter had a cheese and ham Panini which was packed full of filling. Very tasty food at very reasonable prices. The delicatessen counter was full of delicious looking freshly cooked produce and the shelves were packed with an interesting varied selection of specialist products you wouldn't find on most high streets.Home bakes were purchased for later - seriously the largest portions I have ever seen at the prices on offer!

Hansen's is quite possibly the nicest deli I've ever been in - a tremendous selection of interesting things, and things that you would actually want to buy and eat, not just the more unusual and exotic niche items (though it does have these too). Great wee café area (bacon and ciabatta roll certainly hit the spot).

Having found this gem last year we popped in for breakfast and had a scrumptious croissant with jam and a bacon roll with lovely coffee. Great service and wonderful traditional feel to the experience.

Stopped by for lunch and had the most delicious homemade soup, almost as good as my mothers! Bought some marvelous cheese while I was there too. If only there were more shops like this!

Stopped off at the outside seating for lunch. The ham and cheese ultimate toastie with the chilli jam was excellent served with crisps and side salad. Egg mayonnaise sandwich was equally good. Good sized cappuccino coffees.

Lovely location, good service and great food. We had bacon rolls, an egg roll, followed by scones & cakes, all were excellent. Will definitely be back on our next visit to the area.

My husband and I stayed for one night in Nov 2024. The bedroom was stunning, the room had everything we needed and importantly it was spotlessly clean. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent. We will definitely return.
