It's lovely, old pub with bar in the middle, lovely atmosphere.

Qué tonto. Después de haber investigado un montón para encontrar algunas opciones veganas para mi viaje, habíamos estado esperando con ansias el desayuno en Glasvegan durante meses. Comprobé dos veces las horas y tanto Facebook como Google declararon que abrieron a las 9 am, Google incluso dijo que las horas se confirmaron por teléfono unas semanas antes. Cuando aparecimos, el lugar estaba cerrado y oscuro - sin cartel en la puerta, sin publicación en sus redes sociales (y sin sitio web). Otro viajero apareció casi al mismo tiempo y también se decepcionó al ver el restaurante oscuro. Después de mirar en algunos artículos de noticias, suena como si sus horarios de apertura inconsistentes fueran una bendición disfrazada. Chef jefe y renunciar, el empleado se queja contra los propietarios, el trato y las condiciones de trabajo, y constantemente rechaza las revisiones de alimentos. Buen viaje, supongo. Ni siquiera han respondido a mis preguntas en sus sitios de redes sociales.

Origano es una pizzería fabulosa. La comida era increíble y el personal era muy amable y eficiente. Tuvimos las mejores pizzas, focaccia y ensaladas. Hay un gran ambiente en el restaurante e incluso los chefs dijeron hola. Esta es nuestra segunda vez aquí y no podemos esperar a volver!

What a gem of a find and dog friendly too!

Everything seemed very good and correct, until to our surprise they did not make our room for us for the two nights we stayed at the hotel. They didn't even come in to change the towels that we left in the shower so that they could be replaced with clean ones. We didn't even have toilet paper... we notified through their booking messaging system, since there is no one at reception, and they told us not to worry that they were going to get to work to solve it as soon as possible and a lot of talk. The fact is that no one came, no one changed our towels, or gave us more paper for the bathroom... and the next day we were leaving. Even so, they will not write to us again, at least to give us an explanation or an apology. The service was very bad in that sense, it spoiled our stay and left a bitter taste in our mouths, honestly. A shame...

Absolutely fantastic meal. The quality of food and service was first class. Highly recommend. Great menu choice and lovely specials.

Despite being turned away in the first point of contact (we just turned up, no booking); a quick re-visit of the restaurant’s ‘situation’ by the manager found us a seat. The surroundings were impressive, the ambiance pleasant, the menu alluring. It’s been a few months, so pardon me if I don’t remember exactly what we had to eat, suffice to say that the ‘Railway Curry’ was particularly outstanding. It was all top-notch. Enough to have me on the phone to my two brothers (who both live in Edinburgh) to recommend. Both my partner and I love our Indian food. This was of the highest quality.

Tutto ben preparato, fresco Servizio buono con personale molto disponibile e gentile Prezzo chiaro, adeguato e corretto come da menu Pietanze tipiche, non grandi porzioni ma comunque bene in generale

Sunday 19th November 2023 Just in from a family dinner at Porters. Compliments to the chef and staff.

4 pieces of chicken in the korma. Absolute joke. Rude staff and owners are greedy horrible people. Avoid and go to any other restaurant that is better

If you want to try Spanish tapas, this is the place and for the Spanish bear as well, we were amazed how the dishes stayed warm through out the time we were eating, then the waiter told us that is because of the bowls made of mud in which they were serving, they were so good we ended up buying the bowls, you can cook, heat up and eat good in the bowls and they are dishwasher safe.

Always a favourite of ours for either a breakfast or a baked potato - one of best views looking over the nearby river. You’ll. or be disappointed.

Ate in The Lamp Room. Hearty pub food, great service.
