I got a delivery of a special fish supper on thursday 11 August which was disgusting. The fish had a very strong Ammonia smell and taste from it. I had to through the full supper in the bin. I could not stomach the chips after the rotten fish. I am usually a very good customer but kinda been put off now.
Visited here for breakfast and ordered all day breakfast with tea included and bacon roll with tea paid for separate. When ordering and then paid, I asked if we could have our teas along with food only to be declined, and hot tea served right away. SO MUCH FOR CUSTOMER CHOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their feeble excuse was it caused queues??!! So waited around 15 minutes for food albeit our tea was drank or would be stone cold. Possibly tactic for people to buy more tea, but as a customer we should have a choice whither we have hot drinks prior to food or with food. This is also dictatorship, and also there is no table service. Staff were pleasant enough and food ok but sorry won`t be back until they give customers the right to choice.

Ordered a special curry with salt & chili chips last night. The curry sauce was hot but the chicken, beef, prawns etc were all cold.
I collected the order as it's only 2 minutes away and the temperature of the chicken etc would be what you would expect if you pulled the ingredients out of a fridge and put in in hot curry sauce and left it for a few minutes, luke warm on the outside and cold in the middle surrounded by piping hot sauce.
The salt and chili chips were nice, but they were literally just salted chips with a few bits of raw chili, not how salt and chili chips should be and at £4.40 they weren't cheap.
i have just moved to the area so have been trying all the local takeaways the last two weeks, ordering the same items at each for comparison.
At £10.30 this place was the most expensive with the average price being just over £8.
i ordered a special satay a few days earlier just along the road at China Palace, that was so sweet that I had to throw it out, it was like eating sugar. However, i am willing to give it another go, just won't be ordering any satay's again.
As for Rainbow House, the fact that they did not get the ingredients of the curry up to temperature, risking potential food poisoning means I would never be back, and because they cannot make salt and chilli chips seals it, Shame.
This cozy chilled cafe is a great spot to enjoy a bite to eat, coffee and treat. I had the three cheese toastie with chorizo which was perfect and my son enjoyed the kids macaroni cheese. We shared a raspberry and white chocolate cookie after. Nicest coffee I’ve had in a while. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We will be back!!
In a handy spot in the shopping centre , nice and clean with really nice friendly staff . Really nice food didn’t wait long for it to come out , really had a good lunch .
Started off nice after the new ownership but sadly its back to being rotten. The pizza crunch was soggy & dripping with grease and the chips had a horrible oily taste.I thought the italian sausage on the pizza would be something better but its just plain pepperoni. The pizza was also very thin and could have done with another 5 mins in the oven.very disappointing
Ordered from here twice now when we're down in our motorhome. Food was good, reasonable price. Partner said entrance was a bit dated but on the whole it was nice & we'd order again
Thank you Eilidh for the perfect cappuccino.
I had been to the retail park Costa just before this and left due to terrible service - not usually the case when Gill, Dean or the absolutly fantastic Sarah are on duty.
So went to pick up new Glasses today and as I was straight after work early shift was hungry . A Piri Piri place in mall Called Black Rooster ( yea crazy a chicken place ). It had advertised “ Vegetarian “ menu.
Corn burger
Paneer wrap
Halloumi burger
All of these. £4.50. With a variety of “ sauce” flavours . I had decided on the “ corn burger 🍔”
Oh sorry we’ve “ phased “ those out . Puzzled look on my face …
Ok I no would like the Halloumi Burger. Ahhh ok. With what sauce and do you want lettuce and Mayo Yes please Said I. I really want you to enjoy this I will have the Spicey BBQ please and make that a meal thanks that will be £7.50
Now at this point I sat more in Hope than confidence that this wasn’t a hooge mistake .
Sadly it turned out my initial feelings were founded. This mess is what turned up . When is a burger not a burger !!
I spoke to a staff member explaining my confusion.
Oh we’ve “ phased out the Halloumi burgers” and we now only use the halloumi sticks !!!
What would you like to do ? The manager should have explained this when she took your order. I’m sorry if she didn’t .
Please just refund me. Thank you.
So the moral in the Tale . If it’s a Chicken shop . No matter how “ cool and on trend they want to be seen as having vegetarian options. They will most likely still be a piri piri chicken shop that wants to be Nando’s but still fail with even the basics. 🤮
