Hands down the best chinese in Irvine, everything is always fresh.

Waited 1hour 50 mins for a delivery asked for curry to be extra extra hot was there wasn’t any taste to the curry was like soup very watery .what a waste of money this was .

Sadly this time I phoned the girl gave me No time on delivery think it's a new girl on the phone abit unprofessional, I waited 1hr 15 minutes & still No show on my delivery & when I called up she said she didn't know when delivery will be to my house... Totally unprofessional & feels like they were actually unaware about my order I made earlier on...

Worst chinese in irvine 8.90 for a chicken curry with fried rice you get no prawn crackers and less than half a chicken breast chicken was chewy and the curry sauce was wattery even sit in chinese restaurants nearby charge less won't be going back used to be a great Chinese

Been using for years.... Until they messed an order up, and the "chef" just wasn't for listening.... if I ask for chicken and ham, I expect ham, not just extra chicken and told to be happy about it. From one chef to another ( so called at least ).... Learn the golden rule, customer is king. Just lost a valued regular customer for your blatant cheek.

Good food. Have been using for many years. Bit disappointing that they have increased their prices yet again, a curry has went up by nearly £2 in last 18 months. I don't think this is justified and seems to me profiteering! Probably go elsewhere now for better value.

Husband and I got severe diarrhoea and cramps after ordering from here. Rice wasn't very hot

Right who has took over this restaurant as it is not the previous owner. It was dreadful. This is not the silver city everyone knows .

Best Chinese in the town by far. Service is excellent and delivery is always on time and hot. The family and staff go above and beyond for their customers. Excellent customer service all round.

I was at Silver City Takeaway Irvine Ayrshire and I wanted to order sweet and sour chicken balls with house special fried rice but I was told I had to have either boiled rice or fried rice, I offered to pay the extra for the special fried rice instead of the boiled or fried rice but the answer was still no, so I cancelled the order and left feeling disappointed. I thought that as the customer I could order what I wanted not what they wanted me to have. Could not rate the food as I didn't get any and the service and atmosphere was extremely poor. All I can say is very poor service and I would not go back there or recommend it to anyone else.

Heard this place was good the last year or so. Decided to give it a try. Food tasted great and we'll definitely order again from here in future.

Haven't been here in while but it has always been my favourite Chinese, the food was as delicious as always but the prices have gone up again and portion sizes have almost halved, so not great value for your money, which is why I don't visited very often, which is very unfortunate.

£30 for 3 meals. Food disgusting! All tasted very very sweet. Salt & chilli chicken and salt & chilli chips - tasted like it had sugar in it! Chicken was dry and stringy- with ginger and spring onions also very very sweet! To top it all off they didn’t even offer a bag of prawn crackers after spending £30! Do yourself a favour and go to another Chinese takeaway! Won’t be back!

Ordered mushrooms on their own was assured that they were only in garlic sauce, when they turned up there were onions and carrots, husband allergic to onions, phoned the shop was 20 mins on phone explaining that he cannot eat this we ordered them to collect food as no confidence in the food we had received, not very helpful at all, avoid at if I were you shocking service did not want to help whatsoever, we WILL not be a returning customer that should be ashamed of themselves.

It's a takeaway so don't compare with a sit in restaurant. The phone never stops ringing to place orders, enough said🥗

Have always used this Chinese but very disappointed on a couple of occasions especially tonight with a collection order. Had to wait 40 mins then coming home was given the wrong order. Phoned to complain but weren’t interested with no compensation and was given my order which was reheated. Tasted horrible after that.Thought they wails have at least made a fresh order after their mistake. Very disappointed!

Waiting hours for food, put in complaint and management couldn’t care. Food was not cooked properly either

Just had combination satay with fried rice and salt and chilli chips, best meal I have had in a long time, take my hat off to the chef, amazing meal

Really disappointed used to be best Chinese with most friendliest welcoming people, couldn't fulfill a 21:50 collection despite last orders being 21:30. So I reckon start making at 21:30 it be ready for 21:50.. surely shop would still be staffed at 21:50 with the clean up going on

Food is always good and the Sweet curry sauce is amazing! But the portions sizes have drastically got so tiny, its appalling! Wont be rushing back

5 star food,would have gave 5 stars however I’ve now been trying to get an answer for 45 mins ,so will have to call elsewhere

Silver city has been my number 1 Chinese take away for many years now and no other Chinese compares to them! Excellent friendly service they are my highlight of the week!

I stay across the road from silver city take away in irvine, today it opened again after being shut for weeks, so l decided to go across for something to eat only to be told it was telephone orders only, they should have put that on they're website instead of people walking in to get refused at the counter

just phoned for a delivery and was told 1hour 30min for a delivery, I think this chinese needs another driver as that is unacceptable, went elsewhere

Busy and friendly takeaway. Service is quick and the food is good quality ingredients cooked well. Food is served piping hot.

One of the good Chinese take aways. Although you don't get as much chicken in the salt and pepper chicken as the other take aways. Apart from that it's always been a nice place for food. Staff are nice and delivery times aren't too crazy.

One of the best take aways in the area. Fantastic food, great service and I've no complaints. Myself and the kids both enjoyed our dinner.

Just got 2 takeaway beef curries with fried rice. The amount of beef in the curry was absolutely pitiful - a few strips swimming in gravy and onions. Went to get money back and received no feedback whatsoever. My first and last time there.

Best curry in Irvine. Free parking, fairly quick service with delivery within Irvine available. Entrance door has a small step, suitable for manual wheelchairs.

Better than expected good size portions

Just had an absolutely fantastic banana fritter from here. Had to review straight away. Big ripe bananas, nicely fried with a lovely batter and syrup. Thanks!

This is my favourite chinese. Always great food, never had any issues although it can be very busy at times. Highly recommended.

Ordered chicken curry with fried rice and salt and chilly chips got home and no rice. Called them and they not interested. So dinner is no good. Also the food we did get was disgusting and cold. Chips all hard. Save your money and avoid avoid avoid
