Went in for some food and drink and what I got was not great for the price that there charging for food £8.49 for 3 chicken strips

Great breakfast spot in Ballater! We got the pancakes and the bagel and they were both great! Homey atmosphere and doggys are allowed :)

I was at this restaurant at the start of September in the group which was reviewed by Alexander Haid. I can confirm everything he has posted. We were not the group that was drunk if there even was one that evening as we didn’t see anything like that. The food was not good. Simple. My cod was overcooked and was very dry. I sent it back and the second was hardly better. The pizzas were extremely average. To react to a negative review with a barrage of lies to try to avoid the feedback and divert attention from the criticism is very poor and unprofessional. Instead take the critique on board as an opportunity to improve!

We found the place closed, but the menu looked very good.

Stopped for a coffee was charged £7.65 for a latte and americano and got them in espresso cups avoid as they are over charging as I've never paid that for a coffee that size even at music festivals

If you are a vegetarian stay away! I recently ordered a vegetarian dish and found a piece of chicken. This is not acceptable and I was horrified. Please seriously review your cross-contamination measures (if any). Poorly handled when notified. Do not recommend and will not return.

Fantastic. Was always a BIG fan of the Shish at BOD and now it's moved closer, what could be better? Food is simply fantastic!!!

Good place to have a sit down after touring the Castle. Usual soup, snacks, scone and cakes. And they will make you an excellent bacon roll. Good coffee too. All served with a smile.

Haven't been back in years as we moved away. Change of ownership since. So disappointed in this place as used to be a regular. Raw inside french toast. Described as served with fresh fruit instead it seemed to be soaked in a berry compote. Described as served with nuts and seeds instead served with granola.

Excellent hotel with Pub and Restaurant, good choice and quality of food.
