I thought it was a brilliant idea, so joined the queue and wanted to give everything in my wallet to support this cause. - over £85 just for a coffee. But I was refused! The girl packing food bags said ‘they were closed to customers during handouts’ I tried to say I wanted to support them, but no. I was turned away. Ok. I run a Charity. (SC050679), and know good funding streams, and am an elected councillor, so I will wait till they fail, then do better. Big Mistake.

So disappointing as it looks such a lovely place located in a church. It was very busy and staff appeared unhappy in their work and unable to cope. I encountered rudeness and a bizarre seating policy - feverently enforced with spectacular inconsistency! This may explain the extreme variations in reviews!

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Amuse. Our server was lovely and polite, efficient and attentive. For starters, we enjoyed chicken liver parfait - smooth like butter, light and flavourful and paired with mango chutney - delicious! The other starter we had was the pasta dish - full of flavour, perfectly cooked. For main we enjoyed beef cheeks - tender and fall apart, served with creamy and rich mash and selection of vegetables. Absolutely delicious! Our second main was steak au poivre - beef was so tender and fall apart, and the sauce was outstanding. Rich, velvety and concentrated. Definitely an amazing experience, and if we ever come to Aberdeen again, we will be back!

First time visit and can't wait to return. Food was so delicious. Portion sizes were very good to almost too much. Very filling but so tasty. Very fresh tasting and drinks were excellent as well. Atmosphere was very clean, friendly and welcoming. I totally recommend this place for a brunch or coffee and cake or ice cream. It wasn't cheap but average for prices these days and the quality of everything was excellent.

Brilliant little wee bar in the city centre. The staff are very welcoming and friendly towards its punters. I love to come here on a Saturday afternoon to hear the laughs from Andy and the other regulars. Cracking pint of Tennants you get here too! PS Glentanar is a big believer in supporting local businesses in Aberdeen, hence why I choose to come here because it's independently run, and it's not owned by another company like Greene king etc which most pubs in Aberdeen are, which is draining the life out of these pubs sadly. Keep up the good work guys! 🍻

Me and my partner visited on a busy day it was quite busy but we’re willing to wait as we’d heard good things about the café, menu looked good and line moved quickly Staff serving were also lovely and friendly. I ordered a prawn panini and my partner had a pulled pork sandwich also got some coffee and cakes which were delicious, however when the food arrived to the table we were a bit disappointed with it. My partners pulled pork bun stated that it was meant to come with cheese however it didn’t and was just a circle of pulled pork that looked like it had come from a pack the side salad and crisps were also disappointing and his crisp portion just seemed to be what you’d get at the bottom of the bag no real crisp loads of salad but a forkful of coleslaw? Staff seemed busy so didn’t want to bother them and also not their fault they only served the food not made it.
