Good quality as long as you like beef. We had a sharing large t bone which was very good

Nice atmosphere & staff were professional. Steak flat iron was good. My husband's filet was not thick was cooked well. Just not a normal filet cut. Smaller. We enjoyed it mostly.

Always stay here when in Aberdeen on business, lovely hotel, great staff, rooms are superb.

Had breakfast but was very disappointed with having to get coffee out of a machine. I thought that at this level of hotel a cafetiere would be brought too the table. Honestly £18 for continental was too much for the choices on offer.

My wife and I went in for a bite to eat. The food was delicious and well presented. The staff were warm, friendly and efficient.

Went in for Sunday Roast. The starters are all you can eat buffet style, set up on the chefs table, including; soup, prawn cocktail, salmon, slices of meat, chorizo coleslaw, cous cous, salad, olives, hummus etc. For the main, we got the beef sunday roasts, where you get an option of pink or well done. We both went for pink. The two slices beef were cooked beautifully, roast tatties were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Yorkie was fantastic. Definitely worth trying all of this out!

In the middle of the tree dining experience (t-bone steak from the grill). The pepper sauce was terrible. The price way too high. But a nice atmosphere when you are in good company with friends.

Had a great few days in this beautiful hotel. The rooms are really clean and well decorated. The food is delicious, kudos to the chefs. Two evenings, we had dinner in the main restaurant which has an extensive menu and once in the bar. The breakfast choices include a full Scottish with tea and toast. The bar is well stocked with an assortment of drinks and snacks. The best part of our time there was with the staff. Great service with a friendly attitude and a good sense of humour. We would highly recommend a stay here when visiting Aberdeen and the surrounding area.

Great food and friendly service

Food was great, service was ok but staff are clueless of their own restaurant's offers. I booked a FOMO steak night offer but instead, my bill came itemised. I had to look for the offer in the site myslef to show that they have overcharged me for over £50. When I asked to speak to the staff she sighed and looked at her watch as if I was such a nuisance to her day. The manager came and tried to fix it, but still only refunded me £37 and they didnt even apologized. I can't be bothered going over the mathematics of this shenanigans so I just left this as is. The place still overcharged me over £10 AFTER I pointed out the error to them. Such a disappointment. An experience I will not repeat.

Food was good and simple. Service was friendly and professional. Atmosphere can be loud. Ended up requesting a seat by the front door near a small fire. Would recommend. Don't get the cheesecake.

Mid afternoon visit. The atmosphere was a bit lacking but to be expected for time. Service was OK but needed prompted for drink refills/reorders. Menu OK. Limited and pricey for what it is, but a varied choice. The food we ordered was very nice.

Extremely phenomenal!!!! One of the best prawn cocktail we had. It’s was fresh and tasty, it was all balanced taste from the sauce. And the burger it was good as well it’s juicy, savoury and big portion. For my fries I had a Truffle and cheese fries it’s perfect! And for dessert it’s was delectable! I will come back for sure!

Meet selection was not much but signature steak was amazing

It used to be the No. 1 place to go in Aberdeen to get a great steak dinner but the last two times I have been there its now mediocre. Steaks are small and thin and no longer value for money. Not sure why the change but management should look to restore it to the way it was.

We went for a work-related Christmas dinner. Very disappointed with the food. No parsnips, roast potatoes were raw/undercooked inside, carrots soggy. Turkey was ok but very little gravy with it. Gravy did not taste like that from a 5 star restaurant. Pudding very average....only the coffee in the end was decent ( but then anyone can make a good coffee). Of course the company of work colleagues made it bearable. Very disappointed. Not worth what we paid for. Will have to look for other venues next time

Food was excellent, both my chicken dish and my wife's vegetarian meal. Quiet,intimate atmosphere, it was a Sunday night, and we had a booth, with great service. We will certainly go again.

Came here on my first evening in Aberdeen with my family. Lovely place and the decor/atmosphere, loved it! The chicken starter was delicious. I also got the salmon with new potatoes and hollandaise sauce as the main, and creme brulee as the dessert.

Since covid this place has got so much better! New menu, staff are excellent, and the food is top. A great wine list as well highly recommend.

Excellent food relaxed atmosphere

Excellent -had dinner an breakfast here when we stayed recently - Anna looked after us very well for dinner and the food was good, with a few exceptions - the hummus was not good - I’m an expert at hummus making, I would add. The steak was fine but a bit dry and the sauce on the chicken was too sweet- an excellent sticky toffee pudding though! Nice surroundings and truly excellent service made up for a lot. The breakfast was superb - simple well cooked food on warm plates served at the table in minutes. Probably the best hotel breakfast we have had since the Island Shangri-La In Hong Kong a year or two ago. Well done Chantelle on the floor and Nathan in the kitchen - we really enjoyed it.

A great dinner all round. The food was great. A real mixture of cuisines that means there is something there for everyone. I had a delicious steak and my partner had gnocchi which were both brilliant in flavour and presentation. The cocktail selection was a highlight for my partner with everything on the menu being right up her alley

Can not say enough how amazing the main course of Grilled butter chicken, cut chips and green bean salad with peppercorn sauce was! Atmosphere was perfect for an evening meal an the staff were polite an cheerful. Would come back again.

Lovely place to dine but food was average at best. Breakfast disappointing.. No one wore masks when walking around restaurants or reception from large parties....

Booked for an important family event and was hugely disappointed by the service provided. On arrival, we found the room booked had been set up quickly following another booking and that one of my guests had been left out. Drink service was slow with each waiter carrying through one or two drinks at a time from the bar. All guests who had pre ordered steak were served it "pink" and not asked how they'd like their food. When I questioned this, I was told it was my fault for not specifying how the steaks should be prepared when I submitted the order the week before! Then there's the bill. I was told there was a £55 minimum charge per person. I had 25 guests and had paid a deposit. I knew how much of the minimum spend was left so repeatedly asked staff how much of that was left so that I could keep track of what was being spent. When the bill arrived, I found it vastly exceeded expectations as staff had given me incorrect totals throughout the night and forgotten to tell me about the £140 service charge. The night manager refunded me £390 which was most appreciated as the mistakes were theirs but these issues spoiled an important family event and is not what would be expected from this hotel

The inside area was steady but although the staff were pleasant the service was slow. We were not asked what we wanted to drink until well after our food had been set down. Then a further wait for tea etc. The food was alright but although they catered for a vegan and a coeliac I thought the food I was given was trying to hard to be different. Not everyone wants a burger and a .milk shake for afternoon tea.. I really enjoyed the cocktails.

Amazing 3 course meal highly recommended the seabass and breakfast was well worth it.

Beautiful place, probably the nicest place I've ever eaten in. Staff were very attentive and friendly. I don't know about prices as the function I attended was paid for. ( funeral ).

Excellent menu and huge choices of appetisers and desserts. Would have been 5 *s but our table was very dark, and my wife's meal came smothered in gravy, with even more in a gravy boat.

Food and drinks very tasty, but staff don't seem to know which way is up let alone how to serve tables. We got moved today because we were initially put in the wrong section, the waiter didn't realise we had a reservation despite taking my name... Then moved us to a sofa he'd already set up for us to have afternoon tea. Had to wait 40 mins for milk for our tea (which had then gone cold). Food delicious though.

After a very poor experience with the afternoon tea, I reluctantly returned purely because a friend had given me a voucher and it was running out. This time I opted for the spa. It was lovely. Nikki the therapist there is absolutely lovely and the experience was very relaxing. I stopped at the bar for lunch after, the staff were lovely, the food was a little poor but the spa had put me in such a good mood that even over cooked chips and undercooked sausages couldn't dampen my afternoon.

Wonderful lunch and staff very friendly. Always enjoy my time there.

Nice looking place with modern decor, but that's about the only good things I'd have to say. The service was pretty slow and it wasn't particularly busy on the afternoon I went. The main course of lamb was barely edible as it had so much chewy fat on the skewer. For £17.50 it was extremely disappointing. Had planned on going again for afternoon tea, but after this experience that won't be happening.

Went for afternoon tea, the food was mediocre at best banoffee pie had a soggy bottom, coronation chicken wrap had no chicken in it. It certainly wasn't worth the price. Service was slow and the staff were very unattentive. Would not go back definitely not worth a visit

Nice hotel. The room was very poorly lit and you can hear everything through the wall to the bathroom! Other than that it's a lovely place to stay.

Really gone down hill the past few years. Service was shocking, food was OK, when we got our full order that was. Supervisor was hopless and rude, ended up a young server trying to improve our visit, shame we didn't get his name as he was the only decent member of staff we encountered.

Food is generally very good, but unfortunately service always leaves a bit to be desired. The atmosphere is good when it's busy, but the interiors are starting to get a wee bit tired; lots of chips on tables/stains on seats etc. Every time I've been, it takes a good 15/20 mins to get your drinks order. Trying to catch someone's eye for the bill is also difficult. It's a shame because you normally only see a few waiters run ragged. Think they just need more staff! The quality of the food is good but have to be honest, I only go if there's an offer on Itison or something like that.

The food was mouthwatering, a special thanks to Dean who waited on us, easily the best waiter ever, he made wonderful food and drinks suggestions, was really great and is a perfect example of how nice waiters should be.

Very good,great steaks but not cheap

This Hotel can't cook steaks, presentation extremely poor, food is not 4 or 5 star, had a very bad experience at this hotel, service extremely poor, Rude Management was shocking, shouted at in front of other people as well will never go back, refused drinks at the bar and was spoken down to and never apologized. Awful service, not a 4 or 5 star experience. Basically a 2 to 3 star for this Hotel!!! Beware don't waste your money here.
