We quite often stop by here for lunches at work. Really great enterprise and a great addition to the town. Great food and fabulous tray bakes.

We visited the Community Café in Cockburnspath village hall today for lunch. We were welcomed warmly by the enthusiastic team of volunteers who run the café. There is always a fine selection of sandwiches, toasties, filled jacket potatoes and a hot special. All are excellent, but today they excelled. I requested a "crispy" bacon roll and was presented with the best one I have had, eating out. Nothing is too much trouble it seems. You must visit and experience this little gem 1 minute off the A1. You won't regret it.

Fantastic. 2.35 for 4 cookies is a bargain and they were delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We found this take away or carry out in Scotland by chance as the centre of Selkirk was affected by road works and limited parking. It is situated in Industrial estate on the A7 leaving to the north and primarily serves the wood yard and other local businesses Its under new management and there is seating for just four customers but there is a wide selection of sandwiches, panini, hot bakery products, hot filled rolls and burgers all produced fresh by young willing staff.Mug of tea 80 pence gives you an idea of the prices and there is access to pretty decent toilets in the building next door

Very poor communication in respect of getting back to you and enquiring about vegetarian meals. Still not resolved . Asked for vegetarian option for April, after 3 attempts at contacting them . Still haven't seen a menu even though I was told it would be available early April.

We had heard really good things about The Night Safe and decided to book a table for lunch, especially as Friday is always busy in Hawick. The welcome, the ambiance and the choices on the Light Bite menu were, all, amazing. It’s a good idea to discuss your choices with the staff who explained the multi cultural dishes, eloquently. We settled on 4 of the light bites (not quite as light as we expected, with very generous portions). We chose, Haggis Bon Bon’s, Panko prawns, Calamari and Bao Buns with chicken in a buffalo sauce. We shared, and, the Bao Buns with chicken were particularly good and we ordered another portion, to share. ALL of the dishes were absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and very much enjoyed. We’re really looking forward to our next visit.
