Il toro pizzeria in Scottish Borders

Great pizza. Good range of choices. We had 4 pizzas, garlic bread and chips. All were very good. The staff were professional and friendly. All enjoyed the pizzas.

The pizza is of excellent quality and Duns is very lucky to have this place. I go there every time I come to visit family here. Cannot recommend highly enough. The Il Toro pizza is gorgeous.

Ok so I saw this takeaway a few months ago whilst working in Duns. I was back again working and decided to give it a go rather than travel to Berwick for something to eat. I read the reviews and looked at the photos and was quite looking forward to a pizza. I decided on a ham and mushroom. There were a few pizzas in the oven and they looked amazing - I thought great I’ve made the right choice here. I was told it would be about 10 mins which wasn’t a problem. 10 mins flew by and I soon had the pizza in my hands. I got to the van opened it up and it looked great. I had to leave it a while to cool as it was a tad on the nuclear side. Time to tuck in. Initial thoughts were oooh this is nice, thick cut real ham, thick cut mushrooms and plenty of them, generous amounts of mozzarella and a lovely looking crust - what more could you want. Well some seasoning would’ve been nice. There was no hint of any kind of Italian herb. No oregano no basil no garlic nothing. Just a little seasoning would’ve elevated this pizza to the next level. I so wanted to give this a 5 out of 5 review. It’s a great takeaway. Duns really needs a decent takeaway. I really didn’t want to score it the way I have. Come on ll toro find some seasoning and I promise I will be back

Four really delicious pizzas made by a great team 0n the evening of the 17th of July. They were very cheerful and made me some of the best vegan pizzas I have ever had. My girlfriend also loved her Napoli pizza with mozzarella cheese on top. The dough was exceptional highly recommend to all!

Awesome hidden gem! We go here all the time for takeaway pizza and it’s always delicious. Best place in the Borders for authentic pizza that wouldn’t look out of place in Naples✨✨👌
