Visited The Pirn House recently and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. There's a varied menu with delicious dishes, catering for all. The owners have worked hard to comply with recent conditions and the restaurant looked inviting. The staff there are very welcoming and pleasant too. I can highly recommend The Pirn House.

My favourite place for brunch. We often visit once a month for a catch up brunch which never disappoints. The food is always piping hot and delicious. The service is always fab and I always look forward to returning for my french toast, bacon and maple syrup- in my opinion no one does it better! The staff always smile and make you feel welcome. It’s a gem of a place!

We were recommended this restauraunt by family and had never had found it otherwise. From the outside you do not expect what lies within a fantastic little gem of a place with restauraunt to the left and swish interior design shop to the right. We had the homemade soup and cooked breakfasts with tattie scones followed by the largest peice of lemon meringue pie. Everything arrive as it should staff were really friendly and now we know where it is we will most definitely return.

Met a friend here for a catch up over cheese scones. The staff were so attentive and friendly. The scones were lovely and cheesy. We were given extra hot water for tea. The only negative for me was no soya milk.

We meet friends once a month for coffee/tea and a scone and they suggested we met here, they have been before but a first for us. Don't be put off by the appearance of the outside which looks a bit tired, once you are inside it is lovely. Very tasty scones and lovely tea/coffee. Staff are very nice and attentive and make sure everything is to your satisfaction. It was relatively quiet wen we arrived (it opens at 10am) but soon filled up. Really enjoyed going somewhere different for a change and will go back.

Having visited The Pirn several times and never been disappointed I thought it high time that I post a positive report. A busy little café located on an industrial estate is a strange location but obviously it works! No doubt the quality of the eats and the friendly service is the recipe for success. Arrive when it opens at 10.00 and you may be the first there, but by 10.15 the room is buzzing with folk enjoying superb scones, cakes and tray-bakes at reasonable prices, also available are tasty mid-day meals; who could ask for more!

This cafe is off the beaten track just south of St Boswells but is worth turning off the A68 to visit. Good soups and a limited choice of hot lunches. The welcome is warm and the service quick. We had soups which were excellent and followed with the Baked Ham and roasted veg from the specials board. Rounded off with Lemon Meringue and cream. Delicious. Good coffee too. Booking advised as they get very busy at lunch time.

Homemade soup and sandwhich with fresh breads and delicious pear tart with nuts and chocolate chips made a memorable visit. We visit here very once in a while. Tables can be booked, the staff are friendly and the food is good. Today we had potato and leek soup, there was also cream of mushroom, followed by a breakfast for my wife and a warm chicken salad for myself. The breakfast was a good size and stayed hot to the last bite. My salad was spicy and a good plateful. There were tray baked and desserts if we had had room. The menu is coffee shop in style with some specials which change by the day. Good service, food and value. The whole place is accessible and there is a showroom dealing in interior furnishings. worth the short drive off the A68.

I visit often with family friends and as part of my work in a retail shop I take great pleasure in highly recommending this wee hidden Borders gem to many tourists. Food is always always of a very high standard and low cost no wonder you have to book!! set on the edge of a large industrial estate surrounded by beautiful countryside you could walk from many places in the central Borders but after such a delicious and filling lunch I'm not sure you'd want to walk back! I've been there a few times now, for lunch and have always been impressed with the food and the friendly service. Yesterday I was passing the road-end with a friend and, on a complete whim, we shot down to the industrial estate where the plain-looking building stands. It was just before 4pm, but we were still served with one of the best meringues I have ever had the pleasure of scoffing!! Lovely light texture, strawberries and lashings of proper whiped cream. Mmmmm. (There's a post-script to this spur-of -the - moment diversion. If we had just continued on our way, we might well have been involved in a rather nasty accident a few miles down the road. As it was, we drove past slowly just as the ambulance, Police & break-down trucks were doing their thing) Saved by a delicious meringue!

Just off main A68 on leaving St Boswells, this is the best option for a light lunch if shopping in the village. Spacious and tastefully decorated, as you might expect from a company which offers custom made blinds, curtains, upholstery etc. in the other half of this quirky 40s building, it has a woodburning stove, friendly and efficient service, and a great selection of light lunches, cakes, and merigues to die for. Very reasonably priced too. Plenty of car parking right in front of the building. Enjoy browsing in the shop afterwards.

Best book of your going as you may be disappointed if you turn up, tables fill fast. Jason, Lesley and Harris.

After reading a recommendation on the internet, we called in at the Copshaw kitchen on our way back from camping in Kielder. Cut a long story short, I’m glad we did. Having munched my way through hundreds of cooked breakfasts whilst camping, walking and cycling all over the UK, this is the best cooked breakfast I have ever had. Add to this the friendly staff, clean faciities and local produce from the butchers across the road, I couldnt recommend the Copshaw Kitchen highly enough…superb!

We had heard really good things about The Night Safe and decided to book a table for lunch, especially as Friday is always busy in Hawick. The welcome, the ambiance and the choices on the Light Bite menu were, all, amazing. It’s a good idea to discuss your choices with the staff who explained the multi cultural dishes, eloquently. We settled on 4 of the light bites (not quite as light as we expected, with very generous portions). We chose, Haggis Bon Bon’s, Panko prawns, Calamari and Bao Buns with chicken in a buffalo sauce. We shared, and, the Bao Buns with chicken were particularly good and we ordered another portion, to share. ALL of the dishes were absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and very much enjoyed. We’re really looking forward to our next visit.
