Faultless food and service in a superb, comfortable location. Birthday dinner for five of us, varied choices from beeg to schnitzel to scampi...all beautifully cooked and presented. 3 starters, 5 mains, 3 desserts, drinks and wine working out around £30 a head..great value. Will definitely be back

Lovely food and great service. The savoury pancake and the Argentinian sweet pancake were superb. This was a return visit after a previous enjoyable visit and we will be back again.

Lovely food, nice surroundings and very pleasant staff. A little gem in Peebles. We have been for breakfast too and thoroughly enjoyed it. We have taken family for lunch and they enjoyed it too.

We had a family dinner there on Saturday and all enjoyed our visit. Each of the courses we chose on the Christmas menu was delicious and beautifully presented. We recommend the Côtes du Rhône from the wine list. The place is cosy and the waiters very knowledgeable and helpful.

Just discovered’ From Scratch’ at our local golf course today, the Chef made us a really delicious vegetarian meal followed by the best cheese cake I’ve ever tasted made by his wife , nice chat with their son. Lovely family team. Great find ❤️

I went for lunch with my family and the staff was very welcoming to my family and I the food was very tasty and well seasoned they are very attentive to detail and make the experience feel very welcoming we will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful restaurant with views over the golf course, warm and comfortable dining area. Staff friendly and knowledgeable especially with allergens. I am gluten free and the waiter explained they have ceoliac in their family so take extra care with eliminating contamination. Lovely menu clearly labelled allergens with plenty of gluten free options. Service excellent, food was plentiful, excellent quality would recommend and return. We will be regulars here when friends and family visit. We had the Sunday lunch beef, it melted in our mouths! Very reasonable prices in this family run restaurant.

We heard lots about the new catering team at Peebles Golf Club but hadn't managed to have a meal there, until today. Excellent food, friendly helpful staff and a very relaxed atmosphere. It is so nice to enjoy decent food cooked well. The beef was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were cooked properly, not over or under done. We will definitely be back to sample some more of their menu. Well done guys, we wish you all the best.

We had an amazing Sunday Lunch at From Scratch today. The roast beef was cooked to perfection and the Roast Potatoes were incredible! Would recommend anyone to eat here and the staff are so welcoming and do everything to give a great dinning experience

A total gem .Open to the public not just golfers . Really nice setting looking on to the 1st tee .. The service was very friendly and the chef even came through to thank us . Good choice of food beautifully cooked . Prices were cheapest I’ve seen in a restaurant for a while . Totally gobsmacked at the one bad review till I noticed the guy had only submitted 4 reviews and they were all one star ,tells its own tale .Ignore ! We will certainly be back on a regular basis ,they deserve our support .

We had a superb lunch today👌😋 Loaded chips with bacon,chicken, and haggis with a delicious peppercorn sauce. The biscoff&chocolate triffle is simply scrumptious! We highly recommend eating there✨️

What can I say, fabulous food from start to finish, I had for stater Taco’s with duck, then rack of lamb which was perfect and to end on a high Argentina, caramel crêpe. Great food and very reasonable cost. Family run restaurant.

PRETENTIOUS CLUELESS PEOPLE! ON THE BASIS OF OUR ONE AND DEFINITELY LAST EXPERIENCE OF VISITING, I SUGGEST A CRASH COURSE IN COOKERY, CUSTOMER SERVICE /HOSPITALITY AND MANNERS. FORTUNATELY, IN PEEBLES , THERE ARE NUMEROUS WELL ESTABLISHED BUSINESSES THAT PROVIDE THE NORMAL LEVELS OF DINING ONE EXPECTS.

Avoid at all costs. Very dismal, poor quality food, badly presented with large remnants of the meal engrained on the outside of the bowl, atrocious service, even at he bar! A lunchtime nightmare to forget. A crash course in cooking, customer care and service together with manners is definitely required. Fortunately Peebles is blessed with a number of well established businesses that offer standard levels of dining one expects

We went on a Saturday night. We weren't sure what to expect as the menu is a surprise. My partner had empanades whilst I had cheese (lovely but more a dessert to me). Main....spinach and sweetcorn "cannelloni" for me and seafood paella for the other half. Both of us had the rhubarb compote and lemon posset. Augustine and his brother were friendly and professional, and mum, dad and sister do a great job in the kitchen. If we are ever this way again we would return!

On arrival were met by Agoustin the manager who introduced the menu. We enjoyed all three courses and the atmosphere was delightfully relaxed. We will certainly be back

We dined here last night and had an excellent evening meal. This is a family run restaurant with the parents in the kitchen working their magic and Augustine and his siblings looking after us ably and attentively with a warm and welcoming approach. The menu is excellent and the food was super. What more could one want. We will certainly return.
