Stayed at the Caddon View of which Cafe Sitooterie is part of. The dinner of Roast venison with crushed new potatoes and braised leeks was delicious, followed by a raspberry cafloutis was equally good, along with a very nice Merlot. Would definitely recommend .

Having read all the rave reviews for this place we had very high hopes for a pleasant lunch. While the service was very friendly and welcoming and our chosen dishes arrived promptly we were slightly underwhelmed. There were plenty of good interesting fresh choices on the menu boards we were eager to try, however the sourdough pancakes were disappointingly greasy (although crunchy and topped with nicely poached eggs and punchy guacamole). A macaroni cheese was pleasant but uninspired. The sitooterie ambience was perhaps not at its best on a windy, wet autumn day. Not one for us I’m afraid.

Called in here for breakfast whilst on a weekend break in nearby Peebles. Knew this place from a long time ago and was curious to see what had become of it. Really pretty setting at the end of the village and has feel of a country house hotel. Owners have adapted things for a Covid setting and there’s a welcoming al fresco eating environment on offer as well.Staff are attentive and service is quick. We were first in but you get the impression they are old hands at this. Breakfast selection was good and very tasty. Coffee was really delicious - they use a Union Coffee blend and it slipped down a morning treat. Place was fast filling up as we left and I think Cafe Sitooterie is likely a firm fave in the Innerleithen/ Borders scene Wish them well over coming months. Hope their trade continues to flourish.

A delightful wee cafe with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. A ”Sitooterie” with windows looking out on a well kept garden. A simple menu with sufficient choices from breakfast to afternoon tea. Our first visit, but we are sure to return.

I just live around the corner from the Sitooterie but for some reason, I had never been. Big mistake!! I took the family for breakfast in Sunday and it was really really good. Tasty quality products and they even cooked a sausage for my grandson as he didn't want anything else. Lovely service and very friendly. Great to have a wee place of this quality in the town.

If the Hilton's etc of this world want to see how real hospitality, excellent service and beautiful food should be delivered, this is the place. From initial greeting to service in the restaurant I can't think of a place to beat this one. The food is great, locally sourced and cooked to perfection. It's quite a restricted menu, three or four mains plus sundries, but that shows in its freshness and in the cooking. The co-owner knows the local area and is full of suggestions - even to other restaurants. Can't fault the place.

Dining at Caddon View is a lovely, relaxing experience. Breakfast was amazing and scrumptious! You can find their menus on their web site; however, Steve and Lisa also accommodated kids' preferences and in-laws dietary restrictions. All of it was prepared expertly with fresh, local ingredients. For dinner, we had succulent stuffed chicken with leeks and mushroom sauce. It was excellent! The dining room is relaxing, clean, and appointed with white linen. But it's not "stuffy" and our elementary-school age kids enjoyed eating there too!

We booked into Caddon View following the great reviews on here and it was as wonderful as people said. On arrival we were greeted with a friendly welcome and sat with a drink in the drawing room whilst our meals were prepared. These were very tasty, nice-sized portions which didn't leave us too overfull or leaving too much to waste. It was very reasonably priced with set prices for 2 or 3 courses. I would recommend 3 courses as the desserts are too good to miss. We then retired back to the drawing room for coffees. Our only disappointment was that we weren't staying there but the next time we are in the area we know where we'll book.Tip: You need to make a reservation in advance.

I was staying at the Caddon View and decided to eat in on the Saturday night. Really fabulous bistro-style food at very reasonable prices. Good choice (although the normally ubiquitous 'steak' option was missing...which I was actually quite happy about) and a decent range of drinks. I had a fab warm goats cheese salad, lovely duck breast and cheese + port to finish. Lucky my room was only a few feet away as I was fully satisfied and after a day's mountain biking, somewhat drowsy!

The dinning room has a airy open quality complete with good linen, and is the perfect combination ofmodernity and elegance thanks to Lisa`s eye for decorating. We hope the Michelin Guide takes notice. Kudos to Steve,a great chef, and wonderful host.

Wow, fabulous food and made to feel most welcome. Dog friendly, Harris just loved David the co-owner. The Sunday beef roast was just the best we have ever had, a must. The food was so good we booked for the Italian night later in the week. The lasagna is to die for. Sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice cream was stunning. Best book of your going as you may be disappointed if you turn up, tables fill fast. Jason, Lesley and Harris.

After reading a recommendation on the internet, we called in at the Copshaw kitchen on our way back from camping in Kielder. Cut a long story short, I’m glad we did. Having munched my way through hundreds of cooked breakfasts whilst camping, walking and cycling all over the UK, this is the best cooked breakfast I have ever had. Add to this the friendly staff, clean faciities and local produce from the butchers across the road, I couldnt recommend the Copshaw Kitchen highly enough…superb!

We had heard really good things about The Night Safe and decided to book a table for lunch, especially as Friday is always busy in Hawick. The welcome, the ambiance and the choices on the Light Bite menu were, all, amazing. It’s a good idea to discuss your choices with the staff who explained the multi cultural dishes, eloquently. We settled on 4 of the light bites (not quite as light as we expected, with very generous portions). We chose, Haggis Bon Bon’s, Panko prawns, Calamari and Bao Buns with chicken in a buffalo sauce. We shared, and, the Bao Buns with chicken were particularly good and we ordered another portion, to share. ALL of the dishes were absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and very much enjoyed. We’re really looking forward to our next visit.
