A warm, friendly welcome walking into a tastefully decorated hotel was nice. The room was spacious, well decorated and immaculate, as was the rest of the hotel. Evening meal was plentiful and well cooked in a pleasant dining room. Breakfast had plenty of options and very tasty. The staff really make sure you are well looked after in this lovely hotel. Mansfield house certainly lives up to its 4 star rating and we would happily stay here again.

We have been about 4/5 times now with family and friends and i cant rate this place highly enough. The food is 10/10 taste, as described and better, it’s also been consistent to a high standard every time which i find is a hard one to keep up but they do. The price point is fantastic also i mean the average meal is 10/12£ WOW for the high standard of food its crazy. The service is friendly and relaxed and so chill with no rush to leave either. I also love that busy or quiet the food comes very quick!!! One last thing the cocktails are lethal.

The room and the service was spot on, absolutely fantastic. Parking was round the back then a short walk to the front. Beware in winter months as it's dark walking round. I can't comment if there is a lift but I didn't see one. Breakfast was lovely but my only negative was the portion size was small for what it cost, personally.....but, it was absolutely delicious. This hasn't impacted my 5 star rating as the place was just so lovely and accommodating and felt very peaceful.

The food was disgusting I can’t believe this place has almost 5 stars. The chicken tenders were soggy and not very warm, the fries were so stale they were inedible, the onion rings were horrible frozen ones with mushed up onion and the dips were thin and tasteless! There was no rice and that was one of the only authentic things on the menu.

We visited this restaurant as it’s the only restaurant in town.I should add we also ate at the cobbles, fire & salt (twice) , the Schloss & the waggon. The restaurant must have 60 covers & the tables are crammed in. Unfortunately for us we were seated in the middle with everyone pushing past us . The food was average , very 1990s . My venison main course whilst nicely cooked was such a small portion I could see more plate than food & was definitely hungry at the end. My lyonnaise potato was the smallest portion that could be cut without it collapsing. Plain boiled veg. The sticky toffee pudding was the same, looked very pretty but tiny. If you want to treat yourself & you’re in tbe area save your money & go the Schloss or eat in one of the pubs.
