Little pricier but best pad thai I’ve ever had (don’t have a ton of experience with Thai food tho)

Amazingly friendly atmosphere, the food was great, had quite a few weeks in Scotland for work and Rachel, Nicole and Dariel couldn’t have been any better. Great with customers, couldn’t have asked for any more

Our family of 4 adults stayed in 2 rooms in May, 2024. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. The train station is within walking distance which is one of the reasons we picked this hotel. Our rooms were on the second floor. The rooms are clean. The room and bathroom are small. There is only one chair since there is no space for another. So one of us has to sit on the bed. One of our rooms face the street so it is kind of noise. The other one not facing the street is quieter.

My second stay and it was great again. I just love your hotel. I even decided to stay an extra night. Your staff are amazingly friendly and professional. I would especially like to thank Fraser at the bar. Such a lovely person. I don't usually have a drink at bars in hotels, but your hotel makes me feel like taking a moment to relax. Fabulous! Thank you!

Sushi was good, the place however was a bit cold and we weren't the only ones eating with out coats on. But overall I would recommend it

Here is an honest review and some advice: if you are unable to contain your contempt and continue to be inhospitable to the general public, don’t work in hospitality. There are hundreds of jobs out there where you don’t have to interact with the general public. Choose one. That simple. In this economic climate where it’s cheaper to buy four pint cans of lager for the same price as one pint down the pub, there has to be a serious draw to go to the pub for casual trade. Getting the kind of attitude from staff normally reserved to long-suffering partners - and ironically the very reason you go to pub - for merely existing in their premises whilst forking out a ridiculous food cost percentage for what is essentially Sauchiehall street food / a short path to a heart attack, seems as suspect as the prices. I just don't get it.

Sadly, the food is not what it used to be ... the braised beef on toast was tasteless. No salt, no flavors. Boiled beef, combined with a plain hollandaise sauce is not a happy combination. Mocha was also equally tasteless. Will not be coming back. However, service and people are still great.

It is now called ROOTS. Excellent customer service. The food is devine.

7 of us really enjoyed this "reimagined" indian dishes with fine scottish produce. So expect scallops roe deer lamb shanks wood pigeon etc. Vegetarian also very well catered for. Wine was good n a new bombay bicycle beer! Generous portions

Really good, I have been loads for breakfast and coffee over the years but this was my first visit in the evening. Our food was lovely and the service was great, give it a go...we loved it. Paul
