Partick Duck Club in Glasgow City

If you’re in Glasgow’s west end, you need to try this place. The service was impeccable and the food was divine. The Barbary duck leg with cauliflower cream and red wine sauce was heavenly, with the succulent duck meat falling from the bone. I had a real hard time deciding which duck fat fries to have, before eventually plumping for the black bomber cheese and barbecue sauce topping; a decision I did not live to regret! The deep fried cinnamon bun with ice cream was delicious too! My only gripe with Duck Club is that the portions could be a little bigger for the money you’re paying, but this isn’t a big deal considering the excellent quality of the food. £24 for a bottle of Sangiovese is reasonable too!

The food was amazing, starters were the best we have ever had, the Asian cauliflower and meatballs were the best. My wife's duck Club bun & my chicken schnitzel were very delicious. Staff were excellent and very attentive.

OMG. Food and service amazing. Honestly can’t praise both enough. Pepper sauce so different but amazing. Loved everything

One of my favourite brunch spots in Glasgow. Disappointed in the change of recipe to the braised beef shin and duck egg Benedict though. The new meat is less appealing and the lack of poached egg puts me off all together. This is just preference though as I've never ever had a bad meal here.

Just returned from another visit to PDC this afternoon 30th March 2024 and although I love their food, the portions and pricing are going in opposite directions. Example as per the photograph, this was crab chow mein (possibly mean) that we ordered and at £10.95 I was expecting to see some crab, dreadful portion and expensive. Other items ordered included Bomber cheese souffle (very good), Asian cauliflower (always good), white bean hummus (tasty but portion size small), frickles with garlic mayo which were fried gherkins but would not order again and finally truffle fries which have always been good but disappointing today. Portion sizes are definitely getting smaller. As I said previously, food is generally very good, service great and welcoming but value for money???? I did not complain at the time as I was using a voucher and did not want any money to be taken off the bill which may have confused matters with voucher carryover. Mind you no one asked if we enjoyed. I will go back as I like to support local independent business' but with the cost of living crisis and prices going one way, they need to be very careful and offer true value for money.

The food is not worth the money...menu's description is misleading ...actual food can vary a lot ...would recommend things only from the lunch and dinner menu ....ambience and service wise decent ...but food wasn't as pleasing ..good chips selection

Gorgeous food and excellent service. Would highly recommend. Lovely selection of food and really good children's menu too. Desserts were amazing! Our group of four shared two desserts - soufflé and cinamon roll. To die for!

Cool vibes, coctail bar like brunch spot. Good tunes at a healthy volume even in the morning. Excellent coffee and Bloody Mary, food was nommy too, liked the smaller portion for me! One caveat, the eggs Benedict was NOT on a muffin but on sourdough- however it was beautiful!!

We had an spectacular date night here. The food was really good, specially the cinnamon roll! But above all, the service was outstanding.

A great find in the west end of Glasgow. Many lovely brunch options here. The hoisin duck bun and truffle Parmesan fries are a solid recommendation.

A wee bit pricey, but good nevertheless.

At the bottom end of Hyndland St we got great food here . Leaving the name to one side the main thing is that you eat tasty Schnitzel and eg frickles ( look it up if it's a new one to you ) , and good chips with a beer/ cocktail to start ( TT had a very good Bloody Mary with sriracha sauce !) . Grillo at £24 a bottle is good value. All we had was very good and TT would certainly return and recommends this place .

We had a late lunch here - ordered steak benedicts and a selection of loaded fries. I would describe the food as rich and luxurious. Portions probably a bit small for the price in my opinion. Beers excellent and service good. Overall worthy of a 4 score.

Best food I've had in a long time. The flavours in the Hoisin duck were delicious and the sticky toffee soufflé was to die for- it was like eating a cloud.

Tasty and great atmosphere. But I paid £2.75 for ONE slice of black pudding. That is very dear despite the cost of living crisis. I did check with the waiter if it was only one slice and the answer was 'yes'. Apart from this, it's a great place with a great service.

Great brunch options and all-day breakfast, as well as a fabulous food menu. We were there for brunch. It was of a great standard and oh so tasty.

Partick Duck Club was recommended by a friend. I loved it. Friendly and efficient staff, delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere. A little pricey but you get what you pay for! Would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back

I was just a little concerned when our Grandson booked a "Duck" restaurant for his family graduation meal! I am not a lover of duck. However, this charming restaurant is slightly off the main drags of Partick but comfortably within walking distance of the university and the West End. The first thing that we met was a very polite and efficient member of staff who showed us to a pre set family table for 6. I need not have worried about a "Duck" menu- there were more than enough dishes to satisfy a plain eater like me and other dishes for the more experimental members of the party. This is a pleasant intimate restaurant and it was obvious that the staff were on top of their jobs and paying just the right attention to all customers. Overall this was a particularly delightful and enjoyable experience and The Partick Duck Club deserves to be up there with the best restaurants in Glasgow.

So so so tasty and lovely service!!! The duck ‘burger’ was heavenly and the crab cakes were to die for. Beautiful all around. Will definitely be coming back!!!

First time for me but recommended by friends. What a fabulous restaurant. Lovely cosy atmosphere on a cold wet day. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food menu was fantastic and quality was excellent. We had a lovely afternoon of good food and great service.

Fantastic place, thought it would be hipster hell but not at all. Great fun on the corner bar with friends, helpful staff happy to keep ushering forth more coffee, more juice, etc. Food (croque madame) was bloody lovely, that sauce ..? ..! Understandably pricey

My absolute favourite place in Glasgow. Relaxed and casual atmosphere, top notch service and quality food. I’ve been here so many times and it’s never let me down. The underrated star of the menu is the 24-hour steak benedict on the all day breakfast menu, it is absolutely phenomenal. Duck club is great for all occasions even just grabbing a coffee and sitting outside. DEFINITELY GO!

All day breakfast + all day lunch + dinner (we went on Saturday). Really great, and good coffee too. I paid £20 for eggs benedicte with avocado and bacon + 2 x coffees. We booked ahead for breakfast, I think it gets very busy so plan ahead.

Went for brunch again today. Nice food and nice staff. Some items were a bit overpriced imo. 4 pounds something for a glass of OJ.

A treasure in Glasgow. So happy to have discovered this delightful restaurant. The food is awesome 👌 So enjoyed the duck bun and the duck fat friend chips were a little bit of heaven. Super friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Definitely looking forward to going back here.

One of the best breakfasts I've had in the West End, fresh delicious & lots of gluten free alternatives. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Fantastic place food and service this place is a little piece of heaven! Absolutely quality establishment staff are super attentive and extremely nice and the food is out of this world, the monkfish scampi is a masterclass and the accompanying peas a delight. Don’t change this winning formula. We will be back

Sorry but we felt totally fleeced.... Shockingly stingy portions. If you're going to charge the best part of £20 for an all day breakfast(£15 plus the tea/coffee) you need to do better than that. Staff lovely but I'm genuinely bewildered how you manage to get repeat customers... Perhaps you're using quality ingredients but it's not really that apparent from what arrived on the plate... Small /Lukewarm and underwhelming. If you doubled what was on the plate it would have been just about okay but still nothing special for the money... A single very small egg(my budgie lays bigger!) a single rasher of streaky bacon(obviously pre-cooked and lying around for a while) a single sausage (very skinny/unremarkable and again pre-cooked) /a slice of black pudding that was so thin it had dried out being cooked /an okay hash brown /half a portobello mushroom (not a big one) and a blob of completely unremarkable relish finished off with a single very small-very thin piece of overcooked toast. Tea wasn't up to much either. Wish that I'd taken a photo to illustrate but was hungry and ate it quickly(surprisingly quickly and was still hungry afterwards! ) We won't be rushing back.

I absolutely loved this place, the food was outstanding, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and, the staff were wonderful.

Have been to this establishment more than once. I have never left feeling short changed. Food excellent, staff very helpful. Enjoying your food in very nice setting can't be beaten.

First time eating here was highly recommended and really enjoyed our experience the duck and frickles to start were superb. Staff were very attentive with a great atmosphere. We'll be back

Great atmosphere good food but a limited choice.

Excellent lunch today staff very pleasant and attentive . Star of the meal was desserts best I’ve ever had . Mains slightly overpriced in my opinion but would not put me off returning . A great visit .

I was on the fence about removing a star but in the end I decided it was more accurate to give 4/5. We both had the 12 hour Barbary leg and shared a portion of fries. The food was absolutely delicious, the duck more or less fell off the bone and such a tasty sauce. The star removed was for two reasons a) the bathroom - it was a tad dark, a shelf was too close to the toilet itself (I banged my arm against it) and the sink has a tendency to splash because the water pressure is too high for the sink design b) there was a used, slightly fusty straw in between the seat cushions and there were some crumbs already there when we sat down.

My first visit, and I will definitely be back soon. The food was the best food I have had in ages, the staff were so friendly and the ambience of the place is perfect.

This place was fantastic when it first opened but now has gone weirdly fusion and only has 2 duck dishes on the menu. The duck leg was delicious but at 20 pounds the portion was small and didn't include any starch - a few potatoes or mash would have been nice - had to order as a side. Duck bun/burger was also tasty but again had to buy chips as a side which took it past 20 pounds. In all it was good but too pricey for what it is. Nice location.

What a fabulous place! Great food and delightful staff. Enjoyed tasting various dishes from the ‘small plates’ section. So good we went back two evenings later to try the monkfish scampi - delicious.

We came for a quick snack and had a blast. The mocktails were fantastic (the Mansfield martini is highly recommended) and the food was divine. The staff was always smiling and helpful and the chill music completed the atmosphere.

Every Time i go the food is amazing! Great cocktails... i recommend the bloody Mary's. The duck fat chips are delicious, burgers too! Service is great and very welcoming atmosphere.

What can I say about Partick Duck Club? I have probably visited over 10 times now and I have yet to find one fault with the place! The food is beyond good and you can tell it's really great quality and carefully prepared... and the service is always fab- not too much, efficient and professional but always attentive! I do need them to stop posting their specials online as every time they come up with something new I'm booking in again and my bank account is not happy- but... I also don't want them to because I will take ANY excuse I can to revisit. Next time I must come for the brunch menu as it look superb and if my dinner experiences are anything to go by then it's also going to be delicious ;)

Incredible. Monday afternoons not the time to experience a restaurant at its best, however my meal here was absolutely amazing. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the duck hash and the truffle mayo & Parmesan fries. Not the cheapest place to eat but on this occasion you definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommend.

My wife has come here before and highly recommended this place for a spot of lunch with friends. Overall the staff where friendly and the food was nice. However it is rather expensive for the portion size unfortunately, which is why I have marked my experience down to average. I had ordered a glazed beef short rib duck club bun £13.95, very small and also ordered a portion of duck fat fries with truffle mayo and parmesan again also a very small portion for £6.75. My friends ordered the sticky Vietnamese beef salad, and at £19.95, I would have expected something a little more substantial, but with that being said, they did enjoy the salad. My wife ordered the duck hash which cost £14.50, again it was nice, but it was rather small for the price. you can see an overall theme here, nice food but in my opinion fairly overpriced. We then ordered dessert, my wife ordered a decaf mocha which did not come at the same time as our desserts (it came earlier) a little faux pas from the service point of view, normally this should have all come at the same time. Instead my wife was left to drink her coffee while we waited for our desserts. This is a just a small point, overall as mentioned above, staff were friendly enough and food was nice. Would I come back, well it wouldn't be my first choice but neither would it be my last choice when dining out in the west end.

Came for brunch this morning got a seat outside in the sun which was nice. Bunch menu offers a great variety of options - they have the classic breakfast but with a duck club twist. Pay for what you get, high quality food. Possibly better service if we had sat inside. Would still highly recommend.

Nice enough but the food isn’t as good as they seem to think and we honestly found it overpriced for the quality. Cheese soufflé was more like set scrambled egg. Chicken schnitzel very thin and bland. Loaded fries tasty but very small portion. Staff were lovely. I wouldn’t hurry back though.

Staff were very very helpful and friendly. Really loved the atmosphere they create. Ask if you want the vegan menu. There are some good things on it. Not sure about cost as I didn't pay but definitely worth checking out.

What a treat! Great selection of food and drinks and a live buzzing atmosphere . be sure to make a reservation to avoid disappointment. They have a a good non alcoholic drink menu and vegetarian options too. I really enjoyed the boneless chicken and my partner enjoyed the scottosh fry up, the duck fries are delightful too - just the right amount of salt for that extra flavour !

A few changes in the menu.. bold but great! Thankfully the duck fat truffle fries remain though, I wouldn't handle that change well. Venison burger was nice but a little messy, cheese n onions everywhere, not necessarily a bad thing. Enjoyed the fun of the deep fried carbonara too. Excellent place, lovely service, will continue to go far too often. Updated with our new dishes. Sensational again. Love it!

Aye, very good. We're here right now as it happens, tapping away this review. Great atmosphere and service and Negroni but food today was way off - everything was far too sweet and sauces did not contrast at all with what was being served. What would work is sauces with much more acidity.

Really good food! Excellent menu, excellent efficient service and really nice vibe..I would definitely recommend and return. The duck hash and hash browns were incredible, excellent coffee. Staff were incredible,.so friendly and efficient.

It is very tasty however the portion sizes are quite small for how much you pay

Lovely lunch today at the duck club. Lunch outside as we had the dog with us. We had short rib bun, duck bun and loaded fries . All were exceptional as was the service . Really friendly and welcoming staff , hopefully back soon.

Came for an early dinner with partner and 2yo, instantly felt welcomed by young guy who greeted us, baby seat was already set up in booth as we gave them a heads up. Food was unreal couldn’t fault anything, Duck was fall off the bone and the burger was banging toddler even ate my salad. Service was slick and staff were on point Highly recommend.

We went in for an aperitivo sort of ( as the concept is still pretty unknown in this part of the world), anyway I ordered a negroni which sure enough was strong but I could only taste the Campari and not the vermouth ( gin is difficult to detect). Portions are smallish but the place gets a star for a wide selection of 1/2 bottle wines . Paid £27.50 for 2 drinks and a portion of chips. Atmosphere and food I will need to go back to have a proper taste.

Kind of disappointed to be honest. Starters we had the Cheese souffle, and boneless wings. The Soufflé was lovely, boneless wings were ok. Mains was the 12 hour cooked duck leg, duck was cooked well,sauce was a little disappointing. Short rip buns. To much mayonnaise over powered everything, onion rings soaky, the short rib, dry and lacking flavour. Sorry not worth the money this time.

Fantastic little place, the only problem is deciding what to have as it’s all great. I’ve been a few times and never been disappointed, I’m not local, don’t even live in Glasgow so I go out my way to get there.

Brilliant brunch location although choosing between the mouth watering menu options is quite hard. The duck hash with nduja was very tasty. The beef Benedict was a good choice too, recommend a hash brown on the side. Kids enjoyed their French toast with syrup and berries followed by a hot chocolate. Nice service.

I like the recent revamp that's added more banquette seating. The outdoor seats are non-bookable sadly, so you'll have to take pot luck and get there early if you want one. Always a dependable menu, if a little restricted by the size of the kitchen. Enough veggie options to choose from, and decent coffee too. A good place for brunch as well as evening dining.

Had brunch here last week. The food was very good and a wee bit different. The staff were lovely and helpful.

I really loved going to this place! The ambiance of the restaurant is really cosy but fancy. I found the food really delicious. I got the hoisin duck bun (with no bun) but I definitely do recommend to get it with a bun. My friends and I shared their honey mustard fries and truffle mayo fries. Both are really delicious and I loved the sauces, the truffle mayo is my personal favourite. I’ll definitely come here again.
