What an atmosphere right before a match of Celtic. We loved every minute there and enjoyed live music with a great set of songs.

We came here before the Celtic FC match for a few drinks and dinner. After some good conversation with the staff and other patrons, they found out we had just been married in Skye a few days prior. It basically felt like an extended Wedding party after that and the staff had even got us a card and had the band play a song and have the entire bar cheering and congratulating us. We will ALWAYS make sure to come back to The Real McCoy each time we are in Glasgow. The food was great, the drinks were fantastic and the staff and folks in there will make you feel like a Glaswegian. Thank you everyone! From Mike & Meaghan

In Glasgow for the European cycling championships, needed somewhere to eat between the afternoon and evening sessions today. 5 minutes walk from the London rd entrance, just turn right as you leave the exit. Simple well cooked food, haddock and chips, steak pie and veg, G& T and a pint, £20.40. Friendly service. At a busy time, still served us in time to get back on foot in plenty of time for the evening session. Brilliant Steve

Nice idea having pasta of the week and curry of the week, gives you some variety. Spicy Bean Burger went down a treat! Sharing Platter was nice, but maybe best without chips as got this again with our burgers. Was stuffed and it was so tasty!

Came to the pub yesterday for a bit of grub and a few before the match and turned around to discover my son missing from the company of 7 after a quick search there he was outside being told by door staff no kids, he is 3 months from his 18th birthday and does not drink. Looking at your pub details it states "Child-friendly, Kids" when i seen the menus were still available went back inside to be told by the larger doorman to "get out now" in an aggressive manner, some of our company work in the same game as yourselves and we were left gobsmacked by the treatment in front of many customers. We have all drank in your pub on many occasions but this is the last many others in that area glad to have our custom.

Been a few times now, both for food and drinks. Great food, nice drinks and the staff are v friendly. Unfortunately there has been no soap in the ladies and limited in the gents (confirmed by Mr CG!) on each occasion - please get it sorted, worry that the staff are not washing hands properly after making a visit :(

We went here on a windy Saturday afternoon for some lunch. The staff member Pauline saw we were a bit chilly so she shut the window to warm us up. This was a nice gesture. The grub was nice too ! We had home made leek and potato soup with a warm crusty roll, followed by haddock and chips with a side salad. It was also nice and hot. The food was so filling we did not have room for dessert, maybe next time. It was quiet when we went in, but was starting to get busier as we were leaving. Pauline made us feel very welcome and on top of that the prices are very reasonable. We both enjoyed our visit and I am sure we will venture back.

After the game a few of us ended up in this place for the first time we all needed a bite to eat after drinking all day we had the most amazing food for a pub and it wasn't expensive either i think well be coming here more often from now with the rest of our friends staff where terrific service very good

Great pub right next to Celtic Park. If you're in the area on a match day it can get very busy in here so keep that in mind. Good atmosphere and nice food if you're feeling peckish.

I always swore I would never drink in a local pub, but that all changed from the 1st time I ever had a drink in the real McCoy. Its an amazing place, great prices, great food, and the staff are all so nice too....I now have a favourite local....

Was at tennis at the weekend this pub very close to emirates arena 2 min walk .Service excellent quick and very friendly .Stopped on way back after tennis had dinner 2 courses each bottle of wine large vodka change from £40 .Food was of a good quality and large quantity excellent value . Nice atmosphere well impressed popped in on sat too .Also found it a good way of getting home from emirates popped in had a drink ordered taxi arrived promptly back at hotel in city centre for £6 both nights .Highly reccomend .

Hard working staff Stephen and Lisa the owner's are a credit to this place and their staff are extremely helpful friendly and hard-working the food is second to none decent prices and gorgeous the place is exceptionally clean and warm when we are in Glasgow we use no other as this is the hidden jewel in the crown

Arrived Glasgow rain came down we took shelter from 1400 until shortly before kick off. And again after game until 2300ish. Great place good food and ale. Excellent atmosphere superb staff. Well worth a visit.

Very nice food served here and the Sunday Roast is always very popular. Fish & Chips were served in a lovely paper boat which I thought was a lovely touch.

I have been to the pub got served quickly enough and could be a decent pub for drinks and food but the owner/licensee a bit negative and annoyed on commenting on the pub but it has got better from previous years and looks better inside and out

What a fabulous place for Sunday lunch. Chicken soup was hearty and tasty.The carvery was superb. Roast chicken, beef and pork were piled onto my plate with Yorkshire pudding. Great vegetable choices. Lashings of gravy.A hearty meal which satisfied my palette and hunger.Nice decor and clean.Happy friendly staff.

Certes ce bar est bien et le personnel sympathique. Mais, nous y sommes allé au vu des commentaires et il n'est pas à la hauteur des espérances. La carte est trop courte, la cuisine est bonne mais classique. Nous avons pris les macaronis au fromage, le cheesecake et le vanilla fudge, que l'on trouve partout à Glasgow. Reste un bon moment quand même.

Called here with my Wife for Sunday Lunch.I had the Chicken and Vegetable Soup-Delicious.We both had the Carvery Lunch....Outstanding.Janice had the Roast Beef,Pork,and Chicken.I had the roast Beef and Roast Pork only.Both came with Yorkshire Pudding,Roast Potatoes and all the Trimmings.Her Sticky Toffee Pudding and my Ice Cream for Dessert were lovely.Will definitely be back....

Popped in for a meal and was not disappointed. I had the prawn cocktail and husband had the haggis and black pudding balls which was very good.we both had the fish and chips which was done excellent. It comes on a wooden board and the fish and chips are in newspaper. Mushy peas and tartar sauce and side. The staff were very pleasant We will be back.

Held a 30th birthday party for our eldest son here. Started with a lovely meal,food was excellent and well presented and service was professional and courteous . Moved on to drinks ,had some pitchers of cocktails( very reasonably priced and expertly mixed). DJ and karaoke until late then home for the "after party". All in all a very pleasant evening was had by everyone .

This was our first visit to the Real Mc coy for a birthday celebration.The menu is varied so it appealed to everyone.The food was amazing and staff were very attentive and surroundings are lovely.Would definitely recommend this pub and will be back to sample the rest of the menu!!

Been here on several occasions and can't fault it at all.The menu is varied and appeals to everyone,freshly cooked with healthy portions.They do a 2 for £10 on main courses Monday till Friday and also have a carvery on a Sunday for £5 and it is superb!!! The staff are friendly,chatty but efficient .

Visited the Real McCoy using a promotion they were running with a daily deal sight and was very impressed with the food, the ambience and the staff who made our night so enjoyable. Even without a promotion their every day food and beveridge prices are very keen and well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed. We are going back for the Sunday Lunch Buffet next which David advised was superb value for money

We booked a table for 7 people on Mother's Day for lunch , what an amazing place ! The service was top notch , very friendly staff , very clean and the food was amazing ! We rebooked straight away for Easter lunch ! Highly recommend this wee Gem

Bought a Living Social Voucher for two steak dinners with a cocktail or beer for £15 at The Real McCoy. We'd never been there before but it seemed like an amazing deal so we thought we'd give it a try. When we arrived it looked very much like a corner pub and not like a restaurant at all. To be honest I felt I might have made a mistake and wasn't too optimistic about our steak. In fact I was very wrong! On entering the main door there is a door to a bar area on the right and to the left an area for eating. It is modern and clean with attractive decor and wooden floors. There was a TV showing football. The general feel of the place was relaxed and friendly. We were served by a young, thoroughly professional and friendly waitress. She was an excellent ambassador for the place, and was proud to tell us that the bar had recently won the accolade of best Glasgow pub. The food and drinks were well presented, good quality and good value for the price. On the negative side we had a 40 minute wait for our main course, though the place wasn't particularly busy. It may not have felt so long if we had had starters. While the Real McCoy has a bar rather than a restaurant feel, it is good at what it does. It is particularly handy for anyone looking for tasty food and / or drinks before / after going to the adjacent Celtic Park or Emirate Stadium.

For what this is with it being a pub in East end this is a great little place. Foods great and staff are always friendly and it's cheap. Would recommend this place but remember this is a pub and not a top restaurant but really good all the same.

We went here before going to Celtic Park for a night match. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere and banter was superb. Although we did not eat here the food looked delicious and I never heard anything but praise for it from those dining.We enjoyed our visit so much that we went back for more drinks after the game.

Myself and my partner bought a Groupon voucher for a steak deal here. We ate there last night and couldn't fault it. The restaurant has a lovely cosy atmosphere with great staff. We were served by Adam who was polite, professional, chatty and just a great all round waiter (tho he did say he usually worked behind the bar). The only gripe I have is that the steak didn't come with onion rings, had to order them as a side. Aside from that trivial point, the food was absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection and served with a smile. What more can you ask for?! Would highly recommend!!

We travelled to Glasgow to go to the Emirates Arena to watch the BBL Trophy Final and found the Real McCoy with a Google search. We checked it out on Trip Advisor and saw the excellent reviews. We reserved a table for 22 March by email. It is ideally situated on opposite the Emirates and a mere 5 minutes walk away. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous and efficient. We went for the Sunday lunch carvery which is a steal at £5.00 for up to four roast meats, a Yorkshire pudding, boiled and roast potatoes, broccoli and carrots. We could have added soup for an extra £1. You will have to travel far and wide to find such excellent value for money. This is a real gem.

Popped in for lunch and a chat with a friend......was expecting some normal average pub grub but was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional food,service and presentation.Enjoyed every course and will most certainly return.Compliments to both the chef ...John Paul I think was his name and also to the lovely young lady who served us.....

My hubby and I visited this venue on a deal for a steak meal for two. The steak was the most tender that we have had for a long while and well presented with the unusual addition of corn on the cob. The surroundings pleasant and clean with nice friendly efficient staff.

Was in on Sunday for the carvery with my family but unfortunately couldn't eat anything as I was hungover from being in on the Saturday night:) so I'm writing this review on behalf of them! They said their food was lovely and reasonably priced and the staff member who was looking after them couldn't have done anymore so they'll definitely be back for the Easter Sunday carvery;)

Came here for Mother's day to avoid busy town centre and so glad we did. From the minute we came in the staff could not have been more helpful. despite being pretty busy themselves the atmosphere was laid back and family friendly. No rush to have a table back by a certain time. Food was great and at a great price too. Will definitely be back to sample the full menu and the Sunday carvery. Thank you very much.

We chose the Real McCoy pub as a meeting place for Murraynators members that were attending the Davis Cup Tennis in March, as it was really close to the Emirates Arena where the tennis was being played. We met there on Fri, Sat and Sun. We had arranged for a buffet after the tennis on Saturday and had around 50 people coming.Alex, the manager, really couldn't have been any better. He made the original booking easy, was quite happy not to have a specific time for the food (just 'after the tennis' was good enough), helped us with taxis, and generally helped the whole thing go well.Some of us also had breakfast there at 11am, again Alex was happy to make changes to the menu for us. He also took in left luggage for some of our members while they were at the arena on Sunday!Thank you Alex for being so accommodating, you made a real difference to our weekend. If the arena is chosen for the next tie in July, you can be sure we will be back!

If you are planning a visit to Scotland/Glasgow, footy fan or not or planning on doing a wee tour of the grounds and sights of Glasgow then stop in here for a meal or a drink. Where else can you get "A Big Breakfast and a Pint for £6.50"??? It wasn't what we were expecting not having read any reviews, it was much much better and a very pleasant surprise. The decor is fresh, bright and clean. The service from walking in to the second we left was fantastic. The staff are very polite and friendly. We had a Groupon for a rack of ribs and a beer or glass of wine. The young gentleman that seated us made us feel relaxed and welcome. We were offered a menu so we could choose sides if we wished. We were starving so opted for a sharing platter (starter) that looking mouth wateringly good. The waiter looked at us and shook his head "The portions are big" he said so we opted for some onion rings and garlic bread sides. The meal was at the table within what seemed a couple of minutes. I think it was the owner who came over with a pile of napkins and said "use your fingers that's what I would do" The waiter wasn't wrong the plates were stacked. Two strips of 5-7 very large ribs on top of a good size portion of chips, half a corn on the cob and a bowl of slaw each together with the sides. We were beat and my girlfriend has a healthy appetite lol. No room for dessert. :( The house wine was really nice and I had a bottled of light beer. Fantastic value even without the Groupon. As mentioned in previous reviews It is a long time since we have had such good value for money, tasty, professionally cooked and served food. Can I just take this opportunity to thank all the staff at The Real McCoy for a great meal and compliment you all on your professionalism THANK YOU We will be back soon.

First time visit, but not the last. The staff was amazing from the minute we walked in to the minute we left, food was amazing thank you to John Paul the chef, could not do enough for us. Felt very comfortable all night. The manager Alex was very friendly and talkative without being in your face, well done. The toilets were amazingly clean and had hand wash which is a big thing for me. It's that good we have booked a table for Mother's Day.

Been over to the real McCoy today as I know it had been taken over by new management and had new chefs. The menu is straight forward with everything I want in a pub menu. The food is well priced and not a rip off. The Real McCoy was busy in a nice way and myself and my wee mum got tore into the Sunday carvery which at £5 per head is fantastic. My wee mum finished off with sticky toffee pudding which she said was the best she had ever had. In all its a great pub, great staff and great pub so to Alex, Jim and Benny all the best and crack on. Just stopped in for a drink and a quick snack prior to going to emirates Stadium for the Revolution event at the Velodrome! Recently refurbished and looking pretty ok from what I remember was there before! Mind you we moved away from the area almost 24 years ago so what do we know? I just remember that corner when passing to head to the M74. We ordered a pizza to share along with a drink as we had eaten earlier in the city and it was ok. Nice friendly staff and the place was immaculately clean. Advised they do a carvery on a Sunday and it is pretty good! Too far away for us to try though! Cheers guys and good luck! Xx
