Clutha & Victoria Bar in Glasgow City

Thought i was going for a quick drink, place was intoxicating, live music was next level

This bar has many quirks & crannies to investigate. A nice outside patio in warm warmer. A modest stage for entertainment. A nice selection of beers on tap. Pizza to consume. Friendly publicans behind the bar. Nothing fancy, just a very comforting vibe. It is the type of place where you can easily spend a very pleasant couple of hours. Put it on your list of pubs to explore in Glasgow.

Absolutely 3 legends nights there for 2 Danish tourists. It's gonna be the first place I go to again when I come back to Glasgow.

One of the best pubs in Glasgow on a sunny day. Benches outside are nice to sit on. Live music is good. Eskrigg Mafia TA staple before Scotland games.

Nice place, especially during summer for chilled glass with sunset view . They have a beer garden in the backside,fab. Good place if you are a live music gig sucker, they have open mics on thurs and band on fri.

A legendary bar, friendly staff and great live music selection that happens throughout the week. A tourists dream! Always worth a visit, though it's smart to check ahead to see what music is playing first. When we arrived, a band called Merle Hagrid & The Dangers were playing and it was excellent country music. Luckily, we are very big fans of country music! Other excellent bands we saw include the Carlton Jug Band!

Called in yesterday for a beer and went to the gents toilet and it was discussing the smell of urinne was intolerable I had to get out quick the smell was horrendous urine all over the floor when I went back into the bar to get my wife I said to the barman about the stench in the toilet all he could say was I no and smiled will not be going back there again

Cracking local staple. There’s live music on most, if not all nights, and through the day on Saturdays too - always top performances! Can get busy on the weekend nights but the staff take it in their stride. The pizzas are great and for £8.50 with a pint they always go down well. Special mention to the staffer with the short hair and glasses, usually on the back bar - always friendly, welcoming, and a pleasure to chat to!

Great wee place for good company, good sounds and a good laugh. Such a diverse range of bands it's fantastic. It's reasonably priced and a great wee day or night out.

Nice to pop in and hear a live singer. The girl was very good, but unfortunately went on a break shortly after we arrived.

Great bar, great food and great live music. Staff are fantastic and despite it always being pretty busy, they handle it well and get drink orders quickly. Just wish they had a booking system to guarantee a seat but I’ll take my chances because I love the place that much. Cheers guys!

Peculiar place to listen to live music.

A pub different from all the others in the area because there is a tree in the middle, a very nice atmosphere. There is a small stage in the middle where people play guitar and sing. The price of a beer is the same as everywhere, outside on the benches if everything inside is taken, which happens already in the evening. The pub is rather nice for a beer to take a break and go on, I saw people order food inside and it is quite popular!

Not as busy as as usual but always good to visit , (bar staff ) deal with with the fruit flys as we do see them

By far one the best places for a live band. Used to come here years ago and stopped by the other week for old times sake. Can be busy but that's always a good thing, beer garden out the back is a good wee suntrap during Scotlands week of summer. Prices behind the bar are fairly reasonable. A round of 4 will stay under the £20 mark. Staff are brilliant and the punters are just as nuts. Great place. Gonna stop by everytime I'm back up again. Thank you Clutha and Vic Bar. Stay Awesome.

Great atmosphere and very friendly.

First time .....Saturday afternoon in bar where music by Trident was on. Excellent atmosphere with people enjoying the band. Bar staff coped very well as place was jammed. Probably one of the best venues in Glasgow.

Great bands, cheap drinks and the pizzas looked cheap and tasty too. I didn't know the sad history of this place until I visited.

Good pub grub and atmosphere were spot on if you're into that kinda thing. when visiting Glasgow , We had been here before and had the mince and tatties, so we returned once more for the same . It was wonderful. Brought back some memories from times gone by here in Scotland as a wee yin ..the entertainment is a smash hit the singer was covering songs that are top on the radio just now fair play to you

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, paid £9.50 for a pizza and a pint of Guinness, nice atmosphere.

Clutha & Victoria is a casual pub with drinks, food, and live music. We didn't eat, but they make wood-fired pizzas in house that look solid. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the bar has a semi-outdoor back section with live music. You can also sit outside at picnic tables along the road. Casual and pleasant.

Nice place for live music, beer and pizza. Clean Toilet and excellent staff.

Food was great so cheap but far too much. Wine was really horrible. Service was ok atmosphere ok probably better later on in the day.

We all know this story behind this bar and a really dreadful one it was, but here we are some years along the road and, well, it could really do with some effort and input to get it back where it belongs, come on all you people, supporters of this legendary place, get yer fingers out and get this done!! They need everyone's help with this, get on it!

The band, The Vagabonds, were fantastic. Great mix of people,,,young, old, cool or relaxed. A ned free zone

Brilliant pub for a quiet drink or for fun times with friends when a band are on. Always a great atmosphere. Food is a great price and very good especially the pizzas.

First time in this pub with the Mrs. Probably timing was wrong as a band were setting up but there appeared to be no atmosphere. Went to another pub instead. Will look at going back later in the evening to sample the night life it has to offer.

This is a live music pub and a must visit while in Glasgow. The food menu has recently grown, but its not known for its food, its famous for its live music and great atmosphere.

Went in around 1pm for some food advertised £8.50 for pizza and a pint and we felt like we stuck a goldmine; very unique beer garden with friendly, family-owned atmosphere including the band warming up which gave us a good laugh. Pizza was fresh and bigger than the plate and cheesy chips were served as a big portion with lots of cheese. Great place and definitely worth the price 👍

Been meaning to call in here for some time. Not dissapointed at all. Great music. Freshly made pizza, great beers. What's not to love?

Went on a quiet wkday bar area was really cold but I think it's due to the high ceiling. Food and pizzas looked fab . Setting up for live music wich I think is on most nights. Would def go back to get the full exp of this iconic bar.

Lovely place, tad busy when we were there but fab.

Such a wonderful experience, we were overjoyed with the extensive menu and large helpings, my friend Zoolesh counted 1329 fries on her plate and I had only two less, the steaks were the biggest I have ever seen and I have eaten steak in Texas! The only fault I can find was that my heel kept sticking on a piece of chewing gum which I never noticed just under my chair. Un fortunately the heel repair for my Madagascar lizard leather space shoes comes to a hefty £7387.27 which the pub has declined to contribute to. A great pity, so I'm afraid eating there in the future is a no no!

I have not long finished another enjoyable gig at Clutha. The bar has seen no changes since i last reviewed. The staff are amazingly helpful. They have a great sound engineer. I stated before its not a luxurious pub but it has a great atmosphere and the best pizza. You will without doubt have a good time at Clutha.😏🎤 After another great gig last night there are no changes to report. A very unique venue with some of the best live music in Glasgow. Can't be better. Saturday 12/8/23. No chances, just another great night in one of Glasgow's most unique venues.🤗 Great gig tonight 11/11/23. watching jazz group Planet Groove.Excellent night was enjoyed by everyone.

First time I've ever been here, seeing my mates band playing. It was a great atmosphere, friendly bar staff, good beer nd bngong music. What more can I ask for?

First visit to the Clutha since the helicopter accident. It's nothing like what I remembered, the original pub is now a storeroom and the back yard is the pub.... Saying that, it was a cracking pint of Guinness and live music, so good for a Tuesday night. The weekends are pretty busy and worth trying to get along to hear one if the many good bands playing there....
