Cracking music bar. Mixed age group but definitely for rock fans

I think the last time I was in here was about ten years ago, a very nice pint of Guinness, friendly staff. I loved the large windows, which must be original, it looks like something from Tolkien, it is best seen during daylight, the menu looks good but we didn't have any food. A nice small stage, we went to see a progrock cover band. Outside the Original - ELP, Yes, Rush in the first set then the whole of Foxtrot by Genesis. What a great afternoon.

Great place for live bands. Some very good cover bands play here. Yesterday I saw Nightfly - Steely Dan, Toto and other jazz / funk / rock. Absolutely top notch band.

I've never had food but this bar has the loveliest staff, doormen and best atmosphere in Glasgow. The often have live music, every band I've seen in here have been great. There is a little mezzanine area up stairs, the bar staff even help take your drinks up there and they are great at remembering your order..... or maybe I was at the bar too many times...:) . Definitely worth a visit

We stumbled on McSorley's and delighted we did. The place was hopping at 4pm on 8/02/25 due to a rock gig taking place. Will definitely go back when in Glasgow again.

Incredible place to visit. The atmosphere was brilliant, along with life music. The older gentleman playing was outstanding! It was busy for a Sunday, staff were very friendly too and drink prices were reasonable. Will definitely visit again

Went in for lunch today (21/01/25) with my husband as we had visited for drinks last week while in Glasgow City Centre and liked the look of the menu. Holly with the distinctive eye make up/art made, a recommendation which was for fish & chips or steak pie but she mentioned the deal of the week. There was a promotion of 2 for 1 pizza for the week so we both tried that. My husband had the Great Scot Pizza, mcsween's haggis and stornoway black pudding served on a thin crust. I plumped for the fajita pizza with an extra topping of chicken and I also ordered a side of fries. They both were pretty good and fresh. The pizza's were thin crust and not the thick dough laden kind. The service of Holly was impeccable and she is so friendly and chatty. Overall we really enjoyed our visit for food today. The service, food and price were top notch. Thanks

Great pub, great ambience, great food, great drinks selection but best of all is the service which deserves more than 5 stars. The live music program is also more than recommended.

Was recommended this place by bar staff at a nearby bar, and it was amazing. The food was fresh and tasty,some of the best fish and chips I've had, the bar staff were lovely and friendly.

Cute/authentic pub with live music. Simple and affordable drinks (still a lot of choices). Special kudos to the waitresses that didn’t hesitate to step in when I discreetly asked them to help me with an annoying guy. We really had a lot of fun there! Next time, we will plan to eat there to enjoy the live music longer (quite small, best to make a reservation )

If you're looking for a bar to go to in Glasgow, definitely stop by here. We were here every evening of our 3-day holiday.. The food menu was fine and very delicious. Definitely order their daily deals, they are definitely worth it. The staff is very friendly. Great live music and atmosphere. I recommend Andy who plays on Thursday evenings. Thank you.

A truly Scottish bar. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 2 bands perform live music day and night. There are almost all beer brands. Different food options are available. It has an upper floor.

I go here a lot at the weekend for the live music and a beer, always something good on. Always pretty busy, but still get served ok from a good bunch of bar staff. I was in last night and there was a "new" band on I hadn't seen before, The Vagabonds. Absolutely fantastic in their choice of numbers and delivery, hopefully they'll be on again some time. Keep up the good work!

Stumbled in here spontaneously today - the look from the outside and the promise of an “original Scottish pub” appealed to us and made us curious. And we weren't disappointed! The staff was super open and friendly - we were allowed to sit wherever we wanted. Drinks came to the table quickly (yes - we had forgotten that you order drinks at the bar here! But no one made a fuss about it). And the food? TOP! It doesn't get any better. Many thanks to the whole team for unforgettable hours in your original Scottish pub! There was also good live music...Absolute recommendation!!!

Atmospheric pub with live music almost every day, good food, an extensive selection of drinks and very courteous service.

I loved the site. The food was also very delicious. We ate at noon and we liked it so much that we went to dinner at night knowing that there was also going to be a concert. We also liked the girl who sang Lucy Tay a lot.

I am a regular visitor to Mcsorleys and always leave having had a great night, all staff members and the doorman are friendly and the service is great, the bar manager in particular is fantastic always on the ball very approachable and makes you feel welcomed , my go to pub for a great night out, the music is always fantastic as well, can easily spend the day and evening in the one place.

This is a great pub for music and drinks, food however is a different story. Food was basic, peperoni pizza was stodgy, covered in cheddar cheese. Nachos were ok, chicken goujons were tasteless. Won't get food again but will go in as its a good pub.

Great night with excellent music

Fabulous little bar / pub in Glasgow. It is also well know for being a great music venue. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Finally, after 8 days in Scotland, we found a pub with gluten-free beer! And we paid less than 5 euros! We have arrived in Glasgow and by chance we have stumbled upon this place. They have Daura, which we already know and we have tried another really good one.

Random pub crawl visit while staying in Glasgow for the weekend (one of those walk past "will we go in here" type decisions) and really enjoyed it. The live band on the night were great, had the place rocking. Really busy but we got served at the bar easy enough and felt like a good friendly atmosphere in the place. Will probably visit again next time in Glasgow. (Didn't have food so can't comment on that part) Weekend 6th and 7th July and another stay in Glasgow. Between out and back trips and hotel stays we've been to Mcsorleys more than any other pub in the last 6 months. This trip I took my older teenage sons to experience the live band, we were a bit later than usual after having dinner so the place was quieter. We stayed for a few drinks and enjoyed the night from the upper seating area.

Not been in for years. Still the same great pub for music. Knocked a star off due to the lack of a decent non IPA beer. But they now have Belhaven Best so 5 stars. SUPERB live music venue.

You Macsorley lost out when your door man turned away our party of 8 on Friday (which included a pregnant woman). We hadn't even been drinking, just came from dinner but he wouldn't listen to us, or even give us a reason why. Door man was basically on a power trip, and extremely disrespectful and rude to my pregnant wife, wouldn't even make eye contact 🤔. 0/10 wouldn't recommend. We went to spoons it was more fun.

Not had food here, but what I have seen, looks and smells delish. Always a great atmosphere and variety of live music. Would recommend if you like a lively atmosphere and to be entertained.

Fantastic atmosphere and would definately go back when in Glasgow again. Steak and ale was great, while pizza was ok. Service was very good and had a coupe different Peepee waiting on us. Very helpful in whisky selections. Fun place to hang with locals and live music.

What a joy! Walked inside to rollicking live music and a very appreciative, talent loving crowd. Did some work to find a seat but we did! Then the enthusiasm and helpfulness of our engaging server solidified the experience!

Excellent place with an amazing atmosphere. We've been there on a Sunday evening and got the last empty place. Just before the live music started. The servers were very friendly and extremely fast with the orders. The food was delicious and the prizes absolutely fair. I can absolutely recommend this place, if you spend some days in Glasgow.

Fantastic venue for music with the acoustics being on point. Watched the fabulous Brock's den, who had the place rocking. Tastefully decorated venue, attracting a decent crowd. Doorman and bar staff were all friendly. Will definitely be back. Prices on par with other venues. Added bonus of being close to Glasgow Central train station.

Cracking Bar superb music great atmosphere but it gets way too busy so makes it difficult too drink or even move tried to gain entry with my friend on a Friday night doorman says you can’t come in said we were swaying not a chance were we door staff could be better but overall great music bar and worth a drink or two.

This place has been there forever,that says a lot.All walks of life love it,So expect to meet the unexpected and the expected.Great live music for all,if your wanting a place to keep to yourself,then go elsewhere,coz it's a friendly old fashioned vibe.Even the staircase to the toilets are so worth a visit.

I was disapointed about Glasgow but this place made my evening! Amazing Aritist Bryan Kelly played amazing! Service was also very Professional and gave good advice about drinks. If you are in Glasgow you have to visit this place!!!

Known for its focus on live music it’s only a stones throw from Central Station and well worth a visit. It does get quite busy but in a good way. Lots of energy and bustle amongst a slightly older clientele. I didn’t eat but the food coming out the kitchen looked pretty decent and it has a mezzanine level you can use for events. Traditional wood and brass, lots of staff and some nicely arranged seating. It’s one of the nicest pubs in the area
