I go here a lot at the weekend for the live music and a beer, always something good on. Always pretty busy, but still get served ok from a good bunch of bar staff. I was in last night and there was a "new" band on I hadn't seen before, The Vagabonds. Absolutely fantastic in their choice of numbers and delivery, hopefully they'll be on again some time. Keep up the good work!

Stumbled in here spontaneously today - the look from the outside and the promise of an “original Scottish pub” appealed to us and made us curious. And we weren't disappointed! The staff was super open and friendly - we were allowed to sit wherever we wanted. Drinks came to the table quickly (yes - we had forgotten that you order drinks at the bar here! But no one made a fuss about it). And the food? TOP! It doesn't get any better. Many thanks to the whole team for unforgettable hours in your original Scottish pub! There was also good live music...Absolute recommendation!!!

I loved the site. The food was also very delicious. We ate at noon and we liked it so much that we went to dinner at night knowing that there was also going to be a concert. We also liked the girl who sang Lucy Tay a lot.

I am a regular visitor to Mcsorleys and always leave having had a great night, all staff members and the doorman are friendly and the service is great, the bar manager in particular is fantastic always on the ball very approachable and makes you feel welcomed , my go to pub for a great night out, the music is always fantastic as well, can easily spend the day and evening in the one place.

This is a great pub for music and drinks, food however is a different story. Food was basic, peperoni pizza was stodgy, covered in cheddar cheese. Nachos were ok, chicken goujons were tasteless. Won't get food again but will go in as its a good pub.

Great night with excellent music

Finally, after 8 days in Scotland, we found a pub with gluten-free beer! And we paid less than 5 euros! We have arrived in Glasgow and by chance we have stumbled upon this place. They have Daura, which we already know and we have tried another really good one.

Fabulous little bar / pub in Glasgow. It is also well know for being a great music venue. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Random pub crawl visit while staying in Glasgow for the weekend (one of those walk past "will we go in here" type decisions) and really enjoyed it. The live band on the night were great, had the place rocking. Really busy but we got served at the bar easy enough and felt like a good friendly atmosphere in the place. Will probably visit again next time in Glasgow. (Didn't have food so can't comment on that part) Weekend 6th and 7th July and another stay in Glasgow. Between out and back trips and hotel stays we've been to Mcsorleys more than any other pub in the last 6 months. This trip I took my older teenage sons to experience the live band, we were a bit later than usual after having dinner so the place was quieter. We stayed for a few drinks and enjoyed the night from the upper seating area.

Usually drop in to catch a band. Always busy with good selection of drinks. Good atmosphere as well.

Not been in for years. Still the same great pub for music. Knocked a star off due to the lack of a decent non IPA beer. But they now have Belhaven Best so 5 stars. SUPERB live music venue.

You Macsorley lost out when your door man turned away our party of 8 on Friday (which included a pregnant woman). We hadn't even been drinking, just came from dinner but he wouldn't listen to us, or even give us a reason why. Door man was basically on a power trip, and extremely disrespectful and rude to my pregnant wife, wouldn't even make eye contact 🤔. 0/10 wouldn't recommend. We went to spoons it was more fun.

Not had food here, but what I have seen, looks and smells delish. Always a great atmosphere and variety of live music. Would recommend if you like a lively atmosphere and to be entertained.

Fantastic atmosphere and would definately go back when in Glasgow again. Steak and ale was great, while pizza was ok. Service was very good and had a coupe different Peepee waiting on us. Very helpful in whisky selections. Fun place to hang with locals and live music.

What a joy! Walked inside to rollicking live music and a very appreciative, talent loving crowd. Did some work to find a seat but we did! Then the enthusiasm and helpfulness of our engaging server solidified the experience!

Excellent place with an amazing atmosphere. We've been there on a Sunday evening and got the last empty place. Just before the live music started. The servers were very friendly and extremely fast with the orders. The food was delicious and the prizes absolutely fair. I can absolutely recommend this place, if you spend some days in Glasgow.

Fantastic venue for music with the acoustics being on point. Watched the fabulous Brock's den, who had the place rocking. Tastefully decorated venue, attracting a decent crowd. Doorman and bar staff were all friendly. Will definitely be back. Prices on par with other venues. Added bonus of being close to Glasgow Central train station.

Cracking Bar superb music great atmosphere but it gets way too busy so makes it difficult too drink or even move tried to gain entry with my friend on a Friday night doorman says you can’t come in said we were swaying not a chance were we door staff could be better but overall great music bar and worth a drink or two.

This place has been there forever,that says a lot.All walks of life love it,So expect to meet the unexpected and the expected.Great live music for all,if your wanting a place to keep to yourself,then go elsewhere,coz it's a friendly old fashioned vibe.Even the staircase to the toilets are so worth a visit.

I was disapointed about Glasgow but this place made my evening! Amazing Aritist Bryan Kelly played amazing! Service was also very Professional and gave good advice about drinks. If you are in Glasgow you have to visit this place!!!

Known for its focus on live music it’s only a stones throw from Central Station and well worth a visit. It does get quite busy but in a good way. Lots of energy and bustle amongst a slightly older clientele. I didn’t eat but the food coming out the kitchen looked pretty decent and it has a mezzanine level you can use for events. Traditional wood and brass, lots of staff and some nicely arranged seating. It’s one of the nicest pubs in the area

Great little music bar in the centre of Glasgow! Has live music on most nights. Staff are friendly and very helpful. They even have a little mezzanine that you can reserve for a small fee if you are looking for an area for small private function.

Called in for a quick drink and stayed for 2 to continue listening to the live music.

Great live music and atmosphere. The only thing stopping 5 stars is when it gets really busy, it feels crammed and can take some manoeuvres to get to the bar. But all in all, a great Glasgow pub.

Tap beers are not so much Scottish.

Live musician wasn't great and jukebox music was so loud could hardly hear myself speak which probably explains why there were only a couple of regulars in on a Sunday afternoon

Best bar in Glasgow live music and great food and drink, staff are amazing. Was back in this weekend after not been there for a while. This place hasn't changed. Still amazing, the lad sean was so nice and everyone else who served us. Especially the lad with the goatie who I remember him from school (inside joke we had). A great pub with great live entertainment. Sometimes a group, sometimes a solo artist. Yet to try their food but others say it's good. Usually go in on a Sunday but can be difficult to get a seat. Prices are much the same as elsewhere. Food prices are competitive too. Staff are excellent not a case of spot the staff like some places.

Solid spot, place was jamming when we arrived, served quickly. They had a band playing, lead singer looked like lex luthor got carried away on the steak and kidney pies, he was belting out the hits.

I like this bar. Interesting layout, lots of good beers and you can hear yourselves chat unlike over the road in the Crystal Palace. Often has local bands and soloists performing. One of the few 'proper pubs' in the city centre. Keep it up peeps.

Found this place by chance on a break in Glasgow in September, an absolute gem of a place didn’t try the food even though it looked good great selection of beers great bar staff and friendly customers. Will definitely head back to this place on my next visit to Glasgow.
