The best restaurants in Edinburgh and Lothian

Got three suppers all horrible. Been getting here for several years and it has slowly been going down hill past year . Me and wife have said it's the last and won't be getting another meal .

First time I've been to the Canton in years tonight! It's definalely not what it used to be, fairly dissappointed and won't be in any rush to go back. Backing the day the crispy shredded chicken with honey chilli was crispy and had a kick to it, tonight, it was simply chicken with a batter in a vinegary chilli watery sauce. Sorry Canton, you need to up your game.......

La comida fue increíble😊😊, pedí bocados de pollo salados y picantes y curry, los bocados de pollo tanooooo bueno, sin duda volveré 😋 😀

Pedidos tomados por máquina. Dejar reposar durante diez minutos en un aplastamiento. No hay tazas de cerámica que la máquina nos había ofrecido. Eso se debe a que nadie limpia y lava los que sí tienen. Los asientos son estándar cafetería con poco personal. El café en sí no lo era y, de ahí la segunda estrella. No vendrá aquí una segunda vez.

Visitamos cada semana y aunque todavía vivimos el café - el lugar está deteriorado y sucio. Los baños son horribles y para ser honesto ya no es un buen lugar para ir Todavía digo que el café es genial, pero tienen que ponerse las pilas y entrenar al personal y limpiar este lugar o los clientes dejarán de ir con razón

El asado del domingo fue perfecto. Sirve 2 pero fue genial para 3 de nosotros. Pedí 2 lados adicionales, pero habría estado bien sin. Gran lista de bebidas. El servicio fue fantástico. Personal súper amable y no se sintió apresurado en absoluto

A lovely wee cafe at the end of Linlithgow high street that doesn’t have many cafes. Handy for a wee catchup with family and friends. Clean and bright, seating is comfy. The home baking and sandwiches are excellent, scones are amazing. Tea and coffee are freshly made and hot. Staff are lovely and welcoming.

Food was great. Service was slow. Would recommend to family and friend who would come to Edinburgh. Enjoyed my snails food.

I came to the pavilion cafe with friends for drinks. The bar had very good music, staff member (Kinga) was very approachable and smiley. Amazing views and atmosphere lovely place to sit and have a drink whilst seeing the sights of Edinburgh!

My family and I attended this cafe after a lovely walk down from Seton sands caravan park. Unfortunately this was an end to our lovely experience… I was with a family of 8, we were looking for some coffee to go which it advertises. 4 of us went into the cafe to order the coffee, on doing so the older gentleman serving pushed by us muttering “for god sake”. At this point we weren’t sure if that was aimed at us. After a few minutes the sane man attended at the till to serve us. His first words “right whos first then” in a passive aggressive tone. I told him we were in to order some coffee to go which was met with further aggression. We made the decision not to order as the man’s attitude gave off the impression that he clearly didn’t need our business anyway. We left the coffee shop astounded at the service provided and I can comfortable to say that it was the rudest, most uncomfortable service I have ever received anywhere in the world.

Tried to go here to take out a family member for a coffee. There is no disabled access. So therefore we could not go in to look at the shop items or go to the cafe. No help offered either. What a shame!

Voy aquí regularmente, ya que está situado cerca de mi gimnasio y el trabajo. El personal es genial, ha sido recientemente renovado y aunque a menudo se puede conseguir un asiento, creo que pueden haber reducido el número de asientos. El personal siempre está encantado de hacer enmiendas si la orden no es del todo correcta. Mi única queja es que parecen haber quitado el frasco de propinas del personal y reemplazado por una lata de caridad, pero ¿por qué no ambos? Le pregunté a un miembro del personal cómo puedo dar propinas y parecían un poco incómodos al respecto. Lo comprobé con el servicio de atención al cliente de starbucks y dicen que la propina está permitida, así que espero que no sea una política de tienda injusta. Por favor, reintroducid esto, odio no dar propinas al personal que veo regularmente.

everything was very good, smiling people, the taste of the food was excellent, I recommend it, thank you Oz cafe

Un grupo de seis de nosotros nos dieron una cálida bienvenida en el concurrido restaurante un domingo por la noche y tuvimos una gran comida, muy bien presentado, bien cocinada. Amplio menú hambriento, no demasiado tiempo, apropiado para los vegetarianos, así como la carne/pescado caprichosos. Unas ensaladas y platos principales.
