I am not even lying, i could recognise the toe hair in my pasta, it was rotten. But the shiit sauce redeemed it, honestly there was nothing better. Apart from that please don't eat at the canton, mon the hong kong! Fuucking shaathole!

had food here and pretty sure it gave me a sickness, the food was very revolting and smelt funny, go here if you want to get sick after scranning it I was throwing up days on end, DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR! go to mayflower instead if you want a gid bonny chipy

I've eaten at canton for 30 years but tonight was the worse 🤢 breaks my heart its worse in bonnyrigg

Called for delivery guy who answered phone said point blank no he wouldn't deliever even though we live within a 3 minute drive from the place and then hung up the phone... very strange behaviour??

Canton was always our choice but then we felt it went down hill last year. Due to the lockdown we thought we would give it a go again and glad we did. Food was great with the crispy shredded beef being our favourite - very 'crunchy'. Will definately be back

The meat was black burnt tasted revolting,I phoned to complain then took it back two young boys came out what's the matter with it I tipped it on counter and said I would not give that to my dogs .got my money back not even an apology

Don't like this Chinese at all.. food is rubbish, only half cooked, only deliver half your order, when you phone they argue with you.

Prompt service, freshly prepared food, great menu and excellent delivery service, you use the Canton regularly and highly recommend

I have just had a Chinese from the canton. Rice was half cooked, chicken was ok, but chicken fried rice very bland. Curry was tasteless. Won’t be going here again

I disagree with most comments. Always loved it here and never had a problem. The owner at the front desk of a nice man.

Don’t eat Chinese much but caught out for dinner by working and all not being at home so tried this take away for the 1st time in years Was pleasantly surprised that the quantity and quality off food we purchased definitely recommend here

We have been using this Cantonese takeaway for well over 20 years . We understand that the proprietors change every 5 years but the food we had 2 weeks ago was awful . I had the special chow mien with egg fried rice and my husband had the spice and salted king prawn , both dishes were swimming in soya sauce and were inedible . We are now looking for a new Chinese takeaway .

Used to be good takeaway good food got new chef for a good few months had to many bad meals now owner says give time food is below now .you do not get free crackers etc but may soon as it will lose its. Customers and there are plenty chinese in bonnyrigg and a new 1 in newtongrange that is very busy

Ordered here for a change from our local Chinese. it was slightly more expensive and at £21 for a meal for two fairly pricey considering the same is around £15, no prawn crackers were included. Asked to add them on and i was 35p short and instead of saying it’s ok i had to run out to the car rummage around and eventually found an extra 50p to cover my prawn crackers (which are free anyway at any other Chinese). Rude staff and food was well below average, will not be going back. didn’t even attempt to finish, probably worst lemon chicken from any of the local Chinese’s. won’t be back.

Love this chinese! The food is always delicious. Love the crispy shredded chicken and their salt and chilli chips! Their prices aren't the cheapest but you are guaranteed a good meal - you get what you pay for! The only negatives, which is why I didn't give 5 stars, the staff could be a bit friendlier and you have to pay for prawn crackers even with large orders!

Okay, so I may not be the most adventurous person when it comes to Chinese meals but I know that food with batter shouldn't be soggy and the sweet and sour sauce was liquid vinegar. My husbands curry was covered in grease (beef) unfortunately it all went in the bin. I will not be going back there! Boak

Pedimos una comida para 2 adultos y un niño de más de una hora para la comida cuando dijeron media hora. Comida cuesta £21. 25 - no hay pan de gambas, que en la mayoría de comida para llevar son de cortesía. No con el cantón aparentemente tienes que pasar más de £33 para recibir gratis pan de gambas.

La comida es genial desde aquí, usando para los suministros durante años. Todo está bien hasta que tienes un problema. Propietario no podría importar menos y básicamente me llamó mentiroso, que no hacer, teniendo en cuenta que me encanta la comida y siempre he utilizado. De todos modos, he encontrado un local diferente ahora que China es preciosa, con un personal estupendo, así será de ahora en adelante con ellos! El cantón ha perdido un cliente de más de 12 años.

It is slightly pricier than others but worth it never had a bad meal from here yet and it's been a good few years using this Chinese

we get a chineese meal every second friday plus sometimes during the week. the food is hot and very tasty, the only downside is sometimes the chicken is a bit chewy, other than that all the food is good and the service good

Great value and good freshly cooked food. Delivery times fine ... Our one and only Chinese takeaway .. Wouldn't go anywhere else in Bonnyrigg... Well established take away ... Regards Anne

Never had a bad meal from here. Everything is fresh and tasty. Recommend the Chilli ribs, Honey chicken and Chiken Chow Mein.

Vine aquí en Hogmanay como mi costumbre china Hong Kong estaba cerrado y me hubiera gustado que no nos molestó. El hombre que mi pedido era bastante desagradable cuando le di mi pedido y pedimos pequeña parte de mi hijo. Él bastante sin rodeos con una actitud me dijeron que no porciones pequeñas y nunca lo sea. Pedimos pollo limón y no es un trocito de lo que estoy acostumbrado. Pollo parecía un poco transformados. No vale la pena visitarlo.

Pedimos una comida para la familia para ser entregados a nuestra casa. La comida llegó fría y un residuo de grasa era sobre la comida. Añadir gota que colmó todas las salsas que pedimos nos equivocar. Si lo que quieres es un mal servicio con actitud y la mala comida, este es el lugar para ti! Si no prueba el jardín Lea en millas Loanhead con antelación

Great Chinese food always fresh and hot some takeaways are to salty the canton has got it perfect you don't wait to long for deliveries either you must try the canton

Excellent Chinese takeaway and provide a very varied restaurant menu. between here and the Hong Kong, these are probably the best of the take away's in the county.

Our local Chinese take away. Quite a choice in the local area and we have tried them all and much prefer this one.

Tried this for the first time just yesterday, impressed! Excellent food, friendly staff and good value.

As a regular visitor to the Canton over the years I have always love this Chinese and can remember sitting on the counter top when I was only around 6 ! Great family run business and great foot the crispy shredded chicken is great!

Bonnyrigg has 4 Chinese takeaways. I use them all but this is easily my first choice and used the most by my family. No sit in facilities so delivery is the best option and just ask how long rather than sit too long guessing and starving.

Canton has stiff competition from the other 3 Chinese in this area and countless other fast food takeaways. As I have used them all and by all I MEAN ALL. Just love the taste for my pallet and would recommend to anyone passing or equally a delivery.

Not good at all. Worst Chinese in area avoid at all cost. Had a prawn cocktail for starters which was hard, like they were over cooked???? They had obviously thawed them with hot water! The lemon chicken was vial, which ended up in the bin. Beans on toast for me then.

been few times on average no complaints get the odd one not enough sauce .don't get free prawn crackers here .busy place .has hygeine pass. lots of Chinese don't and have hygiene improvement needed. every chinese take away in dalkeith mayfeild dont have pass ..not here .wont get much better take away in midlothian
