One of the most rundown cafes I have seen . Very much in need of a deep clean and refurbished . Saw little evidence of any tables being wiped . The toasties were ok but after visiting the WC I shudder to think what the kitchen may be like . I would not recommend this place and would not return .

Unfortunately I fell coming out on the doorstep which isn't signalled properly. I went back inside to ask for help. I had a scrape bleeding and a sore knee. I asked the manager to provide me with some ice and she kept saying that there was a sign at the door warning. I told her there wasn't one. In the end she realised her mistake but didn't make any friendlier. I fell this lady lacked the necessary training to hold a manager's role. She did not asses the situation, she lacked health and safety awareness, refused to provide a complaint form and refused to provide her name and ID. She didn't know how to handle the situation, panicked and got defensive engaging in an argument. She lacked the training and awareness to be able to understand what she wasn't doing right. Regrettably as I was leaving I exclaimed "what an ass.@. I did apologise for it and left without being able to complain formally. Thankfully she managed to provide some ice on a rubbish bag. Really bad experience, I will be taking it to Neros HQ. I won't be back, that is for sure

Visiting here for first time with my friend. Stay in, I had a lovely white chocolate mocha and my friend had a hot chocolate and a croissant, she loved it. Friendly staff. Bit busy on a Wednesday afternoon.

Went in and ordered a drink while bringing outside food and ate with a friend. Genuinely didn’t know until the manager came to tell us 30 mins later it was extremely rude to bring outside food. We’re new to Edinburgh and apologized profusely — we should’ve been more aware and we learned now. Tried explaining ourselves until manager promptly said “that’s b*llsh*t” and eventually let us go to leave. Her frustration is justified, but such unprofessionalism is uncalled. First time visiting caffe Nero too, and my last. But hey, merry Christmas I suppose.

I'm not one to usually write a complain about a member of staff as I've also worked in hospitality, but I just thought I'd highlight my experience in Caffe Nero Stockbridge, Edinburgh. A lady (with dark hair and patterned leggings) who I'm assuming is the manager served me and immediately the customer service was sub-par as I wanted to pay using my free voucher from points and I was told that none of the scanners were working, so I paid by card. This is fine, but it all went downhill when the same staff asked me to leave a few minutes later for having a pastry from another place on the table (which I was not eating, by the way!), insisting that it's rude to have it there for all other customers to see. I understand if I was consuming it, but it literally sat on the table, untouched, and she took my tray (with my coffee which I paid for) and said that I was leaving. I was stunned. I realise that there are a lot more important things going on in the world right now, but please re-train your staff to have better customer service than this. A shame as well, since this is my local Nero, and after that experience, I don't think I will be back. Not the cleanest branch as well - the tables were dirty, and plenty of used crockery and trays were on unused tables, so customers have to move these themselves.

Staff are lovely and always nice But the gents toilet is a disgusting space urinal has been broken for months floor is always very wet and never clean and the actual toilet you can't flush anything away as I found put today when I found a large turd staring at me when I went to use it please get them sorted

Coffee was good however the place looks dusty. Carpet by emergency door looks like it hasn’t been hoovered or cleaned in ages.

I used to love Caffe Nero but their standards of cleanliness and friendliness have gone seriously downhill. Visited the Stockbridge branch this morning and following complete disinterest from the barista who served us, we found a table at the back of the cafe. The cleaning regime at this place is cursory at best. Thick layers of dust on the shelf behind us, and walls and paintwork are grubby and stained. I tried not to look too closely when I visited the one and only customer toilet. Door handles sticky - completely unacceptable in these COVID times. We didn't hang around and won't be back.

On Sunday I passed by café nero, needing to be caffeinated. Even though they were quite busy, a young brunette lady took my order being very polite, with a smile that just made my whole day better. And was done with my order before I could even notice. Ps, the coffee was divine Would definetely recommend

Great staff, quick service. Doing a great job during these tough times. They are always really busy so they do an amazing job under stressful conditions at times. In a busy area with lots of customers it is often hard to keep everyone happy but great job.

very dirty had to ask for table to be cleaned any one can come off the street and use the one toilet staff from market across the road were getting to use before customers staff need training got simple order wrong never going back

As usual the staff are friendly but the hygiene is very poor ( toilets dirty, tables not wiped between customers, previous customer’s cups etc left behind ) and no official distancing between tables in place. I haven’t been in a cafe as badly managed as this one in a long time. Hand gel and spray available, QR code for scanning but no one to remind or prompt customers to use it.

Really dirty and shabby inside, there was food all over the floor trodden in and the tables were manky. The staff were super unhelpful, we asked for water and were told to help ourselves but there were no glasses. When we asked for glasses the staff member brought three, there were two of us and three other people waiting so that was ridiculous. Honestly the dirtiest coffee shop I’ve been in for a long time.

Decent cafe and good coffee but I was not too impressed to see a customer go to the toilet and take her two dogs with her! Not sure I will go back again.

Due to confrontation with 4dogs from different owners the noise from the dogs barking was akin to being in kennel. If my family of four had not purchased food we would have left.It was bad enough dogs being allowed in to the shop but noise was horrendous. On leaving I approached the manageress and was told they had a license to allow dogs in premises as long as they were not on furniture or near food . Will certainly never be back into this place again. Health and safety issue.

Nice tasty fresh coffee in a friendly environment. I would really recommend this place. They also have a nice cake selection.

Probably not the fault of the cafe staff but this place is in desperate need of renovation. Toilets are disgusting. Head office management need to attend to this location soon.

A popular café with a good selection of hot drinks and sweet treats, busy which is always a good sign of satisfied customers.

At least once a week we pop in for a coffee and enjoy the experience. The staff are nice and the coffee is excellent as well as the choice of paninis and muffins. However they do clear up your mugs very quickly which leaves us feeling a bit rushed sometimes! Most times nice music and good ambience.

Tienen WiFi y se está bastante amplio y cómodo, tienen sillones y sofás. El café está bueno y tienen variedad de muffins y sandwiches.

Ideal para un alto en el camino y un té, y un capuchino buen precio y bueno, aunque a destacar el personal en este nero geniales pues con el idioma a veces no lo entiendes todo, y ellos fueron muy amables y el trato es tb muy importante WiFi gratis recomendable seguro y eso q yo no soy d franquicias .

Chaîne de salon de the et de café italien ou vous pourrez profiter de profonds fauteuils pour déguster cafés italiens , thés , chocolat avec pâtisseries maison comme des scores, des muffiins, '.. Et wi fi gratuit!

Great coffee and even better cakes! Barista (bearded chap) was very friendly and spent time talking us through all the cakes to help,us decide, much appreciated!

De hecho, éste fue mi primera vez en cualquier Caffe Nero. Normalmente se pegan a una de las cadenas hoteleras de café, pero era práctico, así que decidí intentarlo. Tuve un café con leche y una fresa y muffin de chocolate blanco. La magdalena era muy sabroso y me gustó mucho, pero el café no era el mejor que he probado. Sin embargo, fue capaz de sentarse en una silla cómoda y flick sobre mi papel. Nos sentimos agradablemente relajante. El personal era lo suficientemente eficiente.

good coffee and comfortable sofas to work, get a rest after long walking or just read something, wifi and good service.

Tiempo! buena cara los productos estándar, pero se puede esperar Nero para situarlos propia y por estar en el frente y en la parte superior de la clase en términos de calidad y sabor - y no sólo por la ubicación - opciones son muchos...

Staff friendly and waited patiently as I located my voucher. The place could do with some sprucing up. Pretty basic for a café, some comfy chairs. Overall not to bad but room for improvement.

Nice coffee in a very nice setting, they have plenty of comfy chairs. Service was fast and friendly, we will no doubt go back.

So many chain places in Edinburgh let this beautiful city down and they couldn't care less. This cafe Nero had only been open a couple of hours and was scruffy, the miserable staff made us watery cappuccinos. They just take the mickey out of the tourists.
