I had an amazing root veg and chestnut pie for my tea from GK. It was a feast of flavours and could have fed two people.....Highly recommended ***** I’m an exceedingly happy old Hector

Love this place. All veggie/vegan and a wide choice of hot and cold sandwiches plus salads and tasty sweet treats. Try the ‘Festival’ it’s life changing! Also the ‘Rock and Roll’ takes a sausage sarni to another level. Plus the Nanaimo bars (sorry if this is not the right spelling) are spectacularly good. Added bonus that the owners are just lovely people and so kind. Well worth a trip to Portobello, take your feast to the beach or there is a small sit in area. Go now, you won’t be disappointed I promise.

We work quite near this snack van and made our first order for breakfast today. You can order direct or with just eat. Food came really quickly. Good portions, food still hot, reasonable prices. We'll definitely order again!

We stopped here for lunch after doing a bike tour. The food was excellent and the presentation with edible flowers was beautiful!

We drove from Melrose to Edinburgh just to taste the food from this lovely restaurant. Me n my husband love our Goan food it feels homely. It was worth a one hour drive to Edinburgh. The food was lovely, more over the Goan owner of that shop she was very welcoming . For a moment we felt like we were back in Goa. I guess it’s not just the food I mean of course the food was delicious, mouth watering but the customer service was beautiful. She made us feel welcomed in a Goan style 😅 . I would definitely recommend every Goans to visit this place and try our Goan food from here . You will not regret 🥰😘🥰 ——- thank u neighbour ♥️ Sorry no photos of the food because we forgot to click it . We were too busy tasting the food 🙄😅😝😋

I went for lunch on Friday with a friend and the food was amazing. The menu was a fixed price of £9 for 2 courses and £12 for 3 courses with a choice of 2 starters, 3 main courses and 2 deserts. The menu was designed by 2 students (Alisha and Robert) and it was excellent, we both could have quite happily had any of the options as they were all good options. As it happened, I had the Thai Coconut and vegetable soup for starter and friend had duck spring rolls. For mains we had homemade steak pie and crispy plaice and avocado salad (the 3rd option was gnocchi) and for desert we had Lemon tart with ice cream and Raspberry charlotte - everything was freshly made....everything even the bread that came with the starters. It was all excellent but I'd especially call out that it was possibly the best avocado salad I've tasted and the home made ice cream was also amazing. Well done to all the students you all worked so hard and served up an excellent lunch you all deserve A* grades. I'd also note that in town you could pay twice as much for the same food so I took the opportunity to tip well and would encourage others to do the same as it goes towards the students end of term night out. P.S. please don't share this review as word might start getting out about how good this place is. P.P.S I wish I'd taken more photo's but just remembered at desert and my photo's aren't at a great angle. You should go though as it was excellent.
