I had a Nutella crepe and it was delightful! The crepe was perfectly thin and crispy, filled generously with rich, creamy Nutella. The combination of the warm crepe and the smooth hazelnut spread made for a delicious treat. Enjoying it by the sea with the gentle breeze and ocean views made the experience even better!

Had a delicious breakfast roll (bacon, haggis, tattie scone) and a good coffee. Quick and efficient service. Good value. Definitely 10/10

Delicious steak ciabatta, very busy and popular.

I had lunch with my family today. Steak sandwich, chicken sandwich, crepe, coffee. But I was surprised at how delicious the sandwich was. Homemade burgers with no artificial flavors! The ciabatta bread was also delicious. The lady who paid the bill was very friendly, so the whole family had an enjoyable meal.

The bacon tasted like it gad a chemical taste also asked for egg bever received. Small seating area on dude couldn't move full off dogs and staff trying to get into amusement arcade to change etc. Not a good experience.

Unbelievable. Here this tiny little beach restaurant prepared an amazing sandwich. Not just any sandwich. Chipotle chicken ciabatta. Made with chicken from a local butcher.crispy bacon, tomato, red onion, spinach, with chipotle mayo. The amazing chef makes it in front of you on portobello beach boardwalk. Sat at a table on the boardwalk looking at the North Sea.amazing bus #26 from old or new town to Portobello beach.

Excellent beach front food outlet. Great wee place for excellent crepes. The biscoff and banana crepes is a delightful treat. The savory one is worth it as well. Big portions too. Very helpful and friendly staff. Coffee is a bit weak though. Overall great value for money and would highly recommend. #CrumbsofPortobello

Really bad food hygiene. The guy with the glasses handled raw food with gloves and just wiped his hands in a towel he didn't even changed his gloves or sanitised his hands and then handled Fruit. So much cross contamination

Americano was good, cappuccino a little weak. Fried egg and potato cake roll and a sausage and egg roll were both ruined due to no butter, dry as sticks. As we were leaving in the car we saw a man delivering, among other things, Lurpak to them!

Breakfast rolls (even at lunchtime) are always excellent.

Three quid for an unbuttered roll and 2 slices of bacon. Either charge more or give better value for the current price. Bad show crumbs.

Bets breakfast and coffees in Portobello. I visit every Sunday religiously. They also do liver cake for dogs which always goes down well for the firry friends in our life.

I wanted breakfast in the morning on the seafront, and it was very far from the place where I lived. I went to it and did not know that it was a small kiosk. The seating area was very narrow and the food was not that good...

I've used to like this place, they had amazing coffee but today was my last time here...All 3 coffees tasted horrible. Especially decaf tasted like water with milk and babycino was cold with no foam. Don't know what happened here 🤦

Crumbs is in our eyes the perfect place to sweeten up your trip to Porty beach. We love to come here for the incredible Crepes, that are really well filled, and cheaper than Crepes at the Christmas market for example. Their breakfast rolls smell amazing and have a decent selection of toppings but sell out rather quickly usually. There is some seating placed at the promenade and as the waiting times can be long, there is typically a table available at some stage during your wait. Everyone is really friendly. Do listen out for your order number, as the gulls can be somewhat loud. Food is picked up at the truck, however, if you are struggling to get your food (wheelchair, walking aids and such), we did see them bring food to people on occasion. During the week the wait is short at most times, however, weekend mornings and really sunny days can lead to very long waits - which are definitely worth it. Our personal recommendation is the Banana and Biscoff Crepe, although a classic Nutella crepe will certainly fill your Nutella needs here. If you plan a whole morning in Porty, but don’t feel like a proper breakfast restaurant, we recommend starting your day with breakfast at Crumbs, enjoying the promenade with a long walk and then heading to Civerinos for a lunch time pizza. If you have a dog with you, Crumbs sell a type of liver cake that our future dog will certainly get to indulge in. So far they always had crepe dough left when we came, no matter when we have visited. We’ll be back again! The only question remains: biscoff or Nutella crepe?

Stopped for a quite bite of lunch and was so pleased we did. Excellent ciabattas both steak and chicken overflowing with onions cheese salad ! So tasty and good value and the coffee good too. A lovely spot by the beach !

You’d be foolish to walk past this little gem, great food, cooked to order and liking, and then you eat taking in a magnificent view, what more could you want (apart from sunshine in August)

Great cafe for bacon rolls coffee etc, few tables outside on the prom but generally a takeaway venue.

I have previously loved your pancakes, especially the ham and cheese, BUT yesterday this came as a warmish pancake with loose grated cheddar cheese and ham folded in at the last minute. All falling apart. Should have said something at the time, I know, but it will take some persuading for me to come back!!

So nice! Incredible ice cream and a nice full cone so I was very happy 😊 Clearly the staff are kept very busy and do a good job managing the crowd and getting orders out quickly. Coffee was nice and the rolls coming to people sitting next to us looked lovely—will definitely try these next time.

Worst place asked for cold roll of egg mayo and got a fried egg handed to me and not even an apology. The wait is ridiculous customers waiting to be served while staff are dancing and paying no attention to customer. No lack of customer service

Great little place. Tried it for the first time today on a week day as was walking on the Portobello promenade with my baby. Had a coconut iced latte and a veggie gluten free roll and it was all really tasty. Love that they had gluten free rolls! Sat at one of their outdoor tables to soak in the sea view and air, it was really lovely. The staff was also really kind and friendly. Will definitely go back 👍

Our doggy has asked us to review this place on his behalf … “The most delicious (and enormous) liver cake I’ve ever tasted. A great way to refill my energy reserves after a long run on the beach. A tail wagging 10 out of 10.” So there we have it! It’s a good job we are not local as this is the sort of place that we would end up losing our dog too! Oh and the cup of tea was pretty good too!

First class steak sandwich and T for two. Bright and fresh February by the sea. First class service and price. Tables and chairs available to sit outside and take in the lovely sea views. Highly recommended

Great place for a morning roll x

I love Crumbs van, it's dependable, affordable and always a warm beacon on a rainy day. There is seating along the promenade wall, and also a couple of tables under cover with outdoor heaters. Usually just get a takeaway cuppa and walk along the prom :-)

Really disappointed with my takeaway from Crumbs this morning. I got a bacon roll and square sausage roll. Both came on dry, brown rolls. The meat was lukewarm and rubbish quality. The bacon in particular was pretty nasty.

Lovely eatery with friendly staff! Had haggis and crepes, enjoyed the beach and soaked in rain. Recommended!

Tasty breakfast rolls, nice coffee

Loved my coffee and roll from Crumbs! My hubby enjoyed his too. All at a more than reasonable price. The ladies serving were so joyful and we got a rendition of Abba's 'Dancing Queen' as they sang, danced and had fun while serving. We were even visited by a wee bird, eagerly waiting our crumbs! 😂🐦

Staff a bit dysfunctional and food not ideal Crepes not as they describe & over priced. Nutella crepe wasn’t Nutella but cheap chocolate sauce. Staff not sure about whose order is which and got confused. Drinks of a better standard

Found one of the staff members very rude, I’d ordered a tub of ice cream and was given a cone, I politely explained that I’d ordered a tub and then heard one of the staff members say ‘nah she definitely said cone to me’. I found this very rude as I was polite and nice when asking again.

As a local I decided for the first time to buy a tattie scone roll this morning... I left my roll alone for 2 seconds and a couple of crows swooped down and threw it on the floor! The very kind staff instantly came over to me and said '' its OK we'll make you another one on the house and said don't let it ruin your day'' - so kind!! This act of kindness meant a lot to me, especially as id taken my eye off my tasty morning roll due to looking after a little girl heading towards the dogs communal water bowl! Thank you kind staff X

This has become a Porty staple - bigger, better, more organised. Menu is still basically breakfast rolls and crepes, and decent coffee. A brilliant place to grab a bite and a breath of sea air.

Great location for a Saturday morning roll. Coffees not bad but sometimes I find it should be stronger. I now drink their long black coffee, good strength and good taste.

Lovely cappuccino and muffin. Situated on the seafront beside the amusement arcade it’s a great spot to sit and watch the world go bye. Very reasonable prices too.

I loved going here for a coffee to go, as staff was friendly, dog loved it there and the coffee was good. Unfortunately after today will stop coming as I saw the barista pour regular milk instead of soya milk into my drink and lie about it. Since I am lactose intolerant I could tell it contained regular milk as I spent the next hour with stomach cramps and feeling sick in the bathroom. Pity as I loved going to your cafe and never had a problem before, but if I cannot trust you with my health, there’s no way I am coming back. Please be mindful next time, people asking and paying more for alternatives to food and drinks usually do not do it for fun but because they have to.

Coffees and rolls always amazing there

This is a popular spot for dogwalkers to grab a coffee to go, or sit on the prom enjoying a crepe or a superb breakfast roll. Dogs appreciate the liver cakes ( optional £1 donation to the honesty box) which appear to be delicious!

Every Sunday my partner and I go for breakfast down at Crumbs of Portobello and we absolutely love it. Being right on the promenade the view is perfect and so is the food. We absolutely love their rolls and coffee and the dog absolutely loves the liver cakes! Cannot be faulted.

A little bus trip to Portobello for a stroll along the prom. What better than an excellent bacon roll, hot and crispy, and a coffee, to do your sudoku in the sun? Service was friendly, quick and I’ll be back!

Great coffee and friendly staff

First of all, Just because you or one of your colleagues made a mistake with an order number in a busy day doesn't allow you to treat people with such a bad manners. Disappointing

When you are asked if you would like pepper on the egg in your bacon and egg roll you know that you are onto a good thing! They don't plonk the egg on top either, they slide it in neatly and cook it so that is is still soft without spurting everywhere when you bite in. The ratio of bread, bacon and egg is perfect! The liver cakes they sell are loved by dogs and make a good stopping point on a dog walk. The staff are a mix of French and Scottish and they are all friendly and polite. It takes me 2 buses and a train for me to get there and as soon as the restriction levels between our areas allow I will be going back like a shot. Edinburgh has many wonderful eateries, but this small kiosk is the jewel in crown as far as I am concerned.

Fantastic place for a coffee and a roll as you walk along the beach

As a challenge, since I am a non meat eater, i tried some of my friends haggis.....oh my word is was truelly delicious. And the oat cappacino was the best i have had in a very long time.

We went here on a lovely sunny morning. Great bacon and Lorne sausage sandwich with really nice bread rolls. Very friendly and a good cup of coffee to go with a sit in the sun looking out over the beach on a sunny morning. Try it

First visit...and last. Ordered two rolls, one lorne sausage and one bacon. They were both burnt to a cinder. Completely black and solid. Not edible at all. Waited a ridiculous time for them too. It was so awful the birds rejected it. Whoever was cooking needs sacked.

Outstanding outdoor cafe. Fabulous hot coffee and excellent egg roll. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great value for money and would highly recommend.

We had a perfect coffee from a charming French guy about one hour before the riot police arrived!!

Had to wait for my coffee while other orders like bacon rolls or rolls and sausage were being completed. There were at least 4 people serving. Surely you would have someone just doing the hot drinks, and getting them out without standing and waiting for bacon to cook. That said, the coffee was very good when I did eventually get it.

Waffles and the coffee are the best! A nice way to warm up on the cooler days.Mr Whippy ice cream on the better days! They cater for all weathers on the prom.

We've been regular customers for a few years and love their coffees and their creps too. They are great at looking after their younger audiences too. Gets too busy with dog walkers often if sitting and eating by the wall, would recommend enjoying I near the Joppa end instead

Was okay good chips steak pie was good could have done with a fork and knife steak pie just broke up in my hand but was nice.

Very good quality bacon rolls and coffee, quick sevice, lovely location and view from tables of the sea. Friendly staff and very handy for open air eaters in a hurry.

There are a few local coffee spots on and around the beach, but this is hard to beat for quality of the food, cheery service and plenty of outdoor seating at and near the kiosk. The bacon rolls are excellent, but the pancakes are well...
