Abbiamo scoperto per caso questo piccolo locale in zona Haymarket. Ci siamo fermati per colazione e gustato due deliziosi cappuccini di soia e degli scones appena sfornati con burro e marmellata. Tutto buonissimo e le ragazze che ci hanno servito sono state estremamente gentili ed efficienti.Consigliatissimo!

Regularly visit Zest & Co, it is a lovely place to eat with friendly and helpful staff. The food is always excellent with a good variety every day. My sis and I often go halfers so we get a taste of two things :) During lockdown I have been getting the Zest at Home deliveries, as a treat. The bread is an absolute bargain, good quality fresh loaf. Quiches and tarts (have tried the lemon, chocolate and pear/almond options) are excellent. Different salads every week provide a nice choice. Just had the charred sweetcorn, artichoke and tomato with harissa dressing salad, can't wait til it is on the menu again. Roll on next week :)

Estaba en un curso de capacitación al lado y me encontré con esta increíble cafetería / cafetería. Compré un almuerzo para llevar: hay mucha comida sabrosa y fresca para elegir. El panini con jamón grueso, Gouda y un fabuloso chutney de manzana era justo lo que necesitaba.Al día siguiente llegué una hora antes de que comenzara mi entrenamiento para poder sentarme a desayunar. ¡El café era magnífico! El croissant perfecto. Podría haber tenido un rollo lleno de morcilla de Stornoway. ¡Cómo desearía volver a entrenar!Todo el personal era amable y servicial a pesar de que se apresuraron.Este pequeño lugar es perfecto en todos los sentidos. Tómese el tiempo para mirarlo, no se sentirá decepcionado.

I have always found the staff a true delight, the warmth of their smiling faces and sumptuous food never fails. This is truly a remarkable place to eat and drink, and here's to supporting a flourishing and independent business with cool ambience :) Go and try!!!!!

Soy un gran fanático del café y el café con leche fue absolutamente increíble.El personal fue muy amable y el costo era razonable.La próxima vez que esté en Edimburgo, me aseguraré de pasar de nuevo.

I started working in the area at the start of 2019, and have been generally enjoying the place. That changed today though. Myself and a colleague got turned away entirely for service (some filled morning rolls) because one of their front of house staff deemed the kitchen to be 'too busy'. To be clear, there was 1 table filled upstairs, and 6 other customers already awaiting orders. That's not busy. We were also prepared to wait (it was around 10:30) but we were both completely refused. To echo one of the other reviews below, yes, their ordering system needs an overhaul - but after today, their general demeanour and customer handling should also be reviewed. On the up side, myself and my colleague ventured up the hill and found an alternative vendor that has supplied us with a very satisfying repast.

Always friendly, good food, good coffee.

Just started working in the area and find this little shop to be awesome! Service is quick for my daily coffee, and a cheeky wee roll on a Friday is reasonably priced and cooked to perfection. Staff are extremely friendly, will be a regular going forward!

I have been visiting Zest and Co daily for breakfast for the best part of a year and have no complaints what's so ever. The selection of morning rolls and coffee are great, as are Amanda and her staff who are always very pleasant and welcoming. As previously mentioned in other reviews it can be quite busy during peak periods, which I believe reflects the quality of food and service they provide.

The staff here are so nice and friendly it was pleasure to visit, I recommend the puy lentil soup and the wholemeal baguettes are great.

The first time I passed this cafe, I mistook it for an antiques shop. No idea why! Today I didn’t and my partner and I had an excellent lunch. The tomato and chorizo soup was delicious and the panini with turkey, spinach, avocado and red peppers were too. The staff are all really welcoming and service was quick. The main ingredients are locally sourced and of excellent quality. If you’re heading for the Chinese Visa Centre, this cafe is just across the road and perfect for lunch or a coffee before and/or afterwards. There is an upper level with several tables which is a really nice place to sit.

Our favourite coffee and roll shop for our morning meals. Not much better than a bacon, haggis and tattie scone roll. Staff is always friendly and happy to see everyone, service is quick even though they can be quite busy with the option to eat in or takeaway. Currently for summer they have iced coffee and fruit drinks.

Lovely little cafe staffed by very helpful people

Flat whites are too milky and the coffee is a terrible mix of generic beans. Bacon is cooked too early in the morning and isn't re-heated long enough when ordered again. Kind of unbelievable really, given how simple it is to make. Staff are pleasant enough and the prices pretty cheap.

Nice atmosphere and good breakfast, but nothing too special. Bigger room than it looks from the outside as they have also a second floor.

Durante dos semanas, todas las mañanas me ofrecieron un excelente espresso, que resistiría el mejor café de Sydney o Melbourne, y el rollo de pudín negro perfecto (por supuesto, Stornaway). A menudo he querido probar este café, pero parece que solo lo pasan los fines de semana cuando, porque está en una zona comercial, está cerrado. Ayer finalmente lo hice en.El café está bien distribuido y la adición de asientos en el piso superior es una ventaja, especialmente porque es una especie de entresuelo, por lo que aún se puede ver por las ventanas y hacia el mostrador de abajo. Nuestros pedidos fueron tomados rápidamente por una señora muy agradable (? Propietario). Los cafés eran muy buenos, y cuando le pedí a la camarera que cambiara la leche fría por el calor, lo hizo de inmediato y sin ningún problema.Los bollos eran excelentes, definitivamente en mi top 5, la mantequilla se servía en pequeños frascos de vidrio (no paquetes de papel de aluminio horribles) y la mermelada también era buena.Las comidas se veían bien y claramente hay una clientela leal, especialmente a la hora del almuerzo.Costo - alrededor de 9. 50 para dos americanos grandes y dos bollos de frutas con mantequilla y mermelada.Definitivamente regresaré

Cozy yet spacious enough. Friendly staff, nice lavatories, great food and good coffee. What more could you ask for? The WiFi is fast, and there are tables big enough to set up a laptop and get some work done. Or, you can just sit and chat with a friend or colleague. For a local or a visitor, this seems like just the right place to pop in. Stay a while if you like. You won't regret it.

Superb Coffee and their breakfast rolls are amazing. Personal favourite is the Lorne Sausage and Haggis. Excellent Value well worth a visit.

I took rest there whilst waiting for an appointment, easy to access wifi (not a million questions like other big brand Cafe's) staff are friendly, the food was delicious and not expensive, coffee was delicious.

Capuccinos and breakfast rolls were excellent. Seating upstairs, counter at the window, and lots of take away traffic. The sausage rolls with brown sauce are yummy and the lunch sandwiches look good. Cheery staff. Loved the place, and so much better than the chains.

Fantastic food and the mocka coffee is the best iv ever tasted. Been back 3 times this week already. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

This is a great cafe in a great spot - off the beaten track. It does a decent lunch at a reasonable price - with a good range of salads and soups and hot food too. It's really handy for the offices nearby.

First of all google where to go, best advice.What a great café , friendly, great quality of produce used, food& drinks faultless, staff were so helpful, and eating the food was a pleasure. Would suggest finding this place for your snacks etc, just off the main road too, and great value for money

Would regret if missing this place. Not in busy location so passengers may not easily find it. Visited there in the afternoon and was served with great latte and fruit scone. Environment and staff were all fantastic. Would highly recommend this place to everyone living or passing nearby.

Popped in after picking up my China visa, polite staff, good coffee and a lovely pastrami, Gouda and onion marmalade panini.

We work on Canning Street and myself and other staff rate Zest very highly. The hot meals are perfect for something of good quality at lunch.

Popped into this place in the passing on the way to somewhere else. Had a bacon roll with tomato sauce and a chai tea.. it was absolutely delicious.. lots of bacon, cooked to perfection and the rolls were amazing! Loved the atmosphere of the place.. very nice staff to.

Popped in for lunch, first time trying Zest, quirky little cafe, staff are really nice but food is very average. My colleague had chowder soup and panini- wasn't impressed, soup was binned. I had spinach, feta and tomato in filo with asian noodle salad, filo pie was ok the noodles were not good at all and went in the bin. Lots of good reviews around my office about their coffee and cakes though...

I have come here a fair few times now, and love it! I love the food, especially the french toast with maple syrup. Their selection of high quality teas are also impressive. You can sit in and use their wi-fi, or get it to take away. The staff always greet you with a smile, and the atmosphere is relaxing. I am also very impressed with their use of the relatively small space, especially the mezzanine with extra seating.

Delicious range of sandwiches, cakes and fruit. Breakfast rolls excellent as well. A lot of thought has gone into the quality of the food and coffees. All fresh and top quality. A must to try.

wet day,going for visa at Chinese visa centre,always hard work,and there it is,a small piece of heaven,started with the soup,and crusty bread,real lentil soup not from packet or tin,then i had the cheese and leek pie with green leaves all top notch,very clean and friendly staff ,hard to find all in one place,worth going back

Cannot fault this place for service or quality of food. The staff are thoughtful, pleasant and attentive. They create a relaxed atmosphere for their customers.
