The best restaurants in Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

I ordered lamb saag yesterday and it’s delicious as feels like homemade saag.

One of the best Wetherspoons outlets I have visited. Even although I have only visited a handful of times not being from Edinburgh but Glasgow.... We always visit when through for the day or going to the theatre. A pub soaked in history (as they all are) but the staff are tremendous and although service industry is tedious at best they all seem to enjoy it and make it worth their own while and for the customers too. Brilliantly placed within Leith walk and the shopping centre and more recently a tram stop next door. The food is always 10/10 and the drinks are great too.... With some of the best prices around. Such a shame this place closes it's doors for the last time on Sunday 3rd of November.... Gone but not forgotten, never forgotten! 👍

The food is amazingly delicious! I absolutely loved the noodles with the three toppings — everything was fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. I really enjoyed every bite. Highly recommend!

A really friendly Pub. Bar staff great. Also price of drink good with some really good offers. The best update I can give is NOTHING has changed thankfully. Long may this continue. Cheers

Llamé a última hora para la mesa y aunque estaban ocupados nos encajaron. Comida increíble. Tenía pescado con papas fritas y mi amigo tenía pollo. Los recomiendo encarecidamente. Comida increíble por un precio razonable. El personal también era muy servicial. 10 de cada 10 chicos.

Food was good, little bit too oily for my taste but tasty nonetheless!

Fairly average food, indifferent service, high prices. Ordering is via a QR code or at the bar. You’ll be served quickly at the bar, mobile orders take forever to be delivered. Asked about allergens as one of our party has some medical issues, told no special menu but they have a list of allergens somewhere. The veggie and vegan menu was full of food containing meat. Wouldn’t go back.

My wife and I were looking for an affordable small lunch - this place was perfect. Very friendly and accommodating. Two people can easily share one of their large dishes.
