The food was not fresh, the zinger burger had next to no lettuce and the bits it did have were rotten and had to be removed.

The team was attentive, professional, and made sure every customer felt acknowledged and taken care of. I was served promptly, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my order was accurate and fresh. The food was exactly what I had hoped for — hot, flavorful, and served with care. My meal was prepared quickly despite a busy service period, and the portion sizes were generous. It’s clear the team takes pride in maintaining high standards both in the kitchen and at the front counter. I also appreciated how well the restaurant was maintained. The dining area was clean, the condiment station was well-stocked, and everything felt organized and inviting — a testament to great management and team coordination. Overall, this visit was a fantastic reminder of why KFC remains a go-to for delicious, comforting food. Ordered a meal worth over £40 and the driver turned up with a bottle of Tango in a bag, no food at all was delivered!

No wonder the chicken taste different because they use halal chicken meat which offers a different taste that I don’t like. I'll never buy there again because this is what happens when it's franchised they obviously cut corners that cost less. Sorry to smear this branch but, let the truth be told, I find it of very poor quality.

Great food and lovely staff! We had a really nice visit to KFC hermiston gate . The food was tasty – the chips have definitely improved with the peppery seasoning and skins on, though they were still a bit soft rather than crispy. The gravy was thick and delicious, just how I like it. The restaurant itself had fresh, clean decor, and the staff were brilliant – really helpful and super friendly. One member of staff even helped me carry my food over, chatted to my baby, and checked in to see if everything was ok, which was a lovely touch. There were two child seats available, the straps were a little grubby but the wooden seat was clean. Food was served quickly too – I ordered through the app and even won 2 hot wings! I didn’t use the toilets myself, but my partner and son did. My son (who’s quite sensitive to smells) said they were a bit smelly, and my partner mentioned they were a bit dirty and there was no bin. The baby changing facilities didn’t seem obvious, and the disabled toilet was locked – we think it was a radar key system, possibly available from staff, but we didn’t have time to check. Overall though, we really enjoyed our visit and appreciated the warm and helpful service.

I waited over an hour for this order and didn’t even receive everything.

The order was 45 minutes. The order also didn't come with any of the chips, sides, hot wings or dips. Phoned up the restaurant and they just apologised but couldn't do anything about getting our food to us. Awful customer service.

Very bad experience. The establishment advertises closing time as 11:00 PM, we arrived at 10:00 PM and were told that we could not eat there. We really had to insist to be able to eat there. The food is of really average quality, the fries are soggy. The place is really dirty, especially the toilets. Horrible. Avoid.

KFC has always been my favourite, but depending on which store you visit... my partner and kids don't always agree and quite often do not enjoy the experience. We visited Hermiston Gait drive thru tonight.... and we are all in agreement, this is the best store in Edinburgh, arguably the best KFC I have ever had from any store, in any city. My 3 kids and (extremely fussy) partner, have thoroughly enjoyed their food. The service was prompt, professional and also friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend this store to anyone I know. If I could score higher than 5 stars... I would, outstanding.

I really had an awesome experience at the newly renovated KFC restaurant in Hermiston. The staff were very friendly and always helpful.The hot chicken was very delicious and I really enjoyed the new Zinger chicken meal.Loved it.

The updated interior made for a comfortable and enjoyable dining atmosphere. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The staff were friendly, efficient, and genuinely seemed to care about providing a great customer experience. My order was taken quickly, prepared accurately, and served hot and fresh. It’s clear that the team is well-trained and committed to high standards. The food itself was exactly what you’d hope for from KFC—crispy, flavorful, and delicious. The refurbishment has definitely brought a new energy to this location, and it’s now one of the best KFC experiences I’ve had in a while. I had an absolutely horrendous experience at KFC Edinburgh - Hermiston Gait Retail Park while staying at the hotel next door. We were excited to try the festive stuffing stack, but they didn’t have it available, which was disappointing right from the start. The staff were blatantly rude and completely untrained, adding to the frustration. After ordering at the self-serve kiosk, which didn’t even give us a receipt, we opted for table service. When our food finally arrived, the order was incorrect. We had ordered two meals—a chicken stack box and a rice box—but the rice box arrived without rice! My girlfriend was understandably upset, and I brought this issue to the manager’s attention. What followed was appalling. The manager argued with me, smirked, and dismissed my concerns, claiming that I had ordered a “side” salad instead of a proper meal. This was absurd and clearly an attempt to brush off their mistake. Rather than escalating the situation, I ate my food in disbelief, as it was clear I couldn’t have an intelligent or professional conversation with this manager. This branch is an embarrassment to the KFC brand. Standards need to be thoroughly re-implemented, and staff require urgent training on both customer service and basic competence. I will be raising an official complaint, as this experience was truly unacceptable. Avoid this location if you value your time, money, or sanity!

The driver was extremely polite and friendly. Food wasn't tampered with. If I knew that he will deliver my food, would've left a tip.

Whenever I order from this KFC they get my order wrong. Half my order was missing.

It was difficult for pedestrians to get there. People risked getting there crossing the road like no zebra crossing there. Maybe convenient for people with vehicles but then Google maps was not working well there.

Stop by to get takeaway order placed my order…been waiting there for ages no one came at front desk to speak about my order. Left the place without getting the order. Absolutely horrendous lack of customer service. At least have some more staff to look out for customers rather then busy in work. Horrible place.
