After waiting 45 minutes for our d I meal we asked how much longer to be told the ticket hadn't been given to the kitchen. It arrived 30 minutes ago later. The chicken me!was dried out and the lasagne had clearly been over heated in the microwave and was dried out. Thankfully we were not in charged for the meal

We had to wait about 30 Minutes until we could place pur order. My food sweet chily stir fry looked like being thrown on the plate right out of a take-away box. No decoration, food parts hanging on the edges. All this for Ł12. How can this restaurant have 3 stars? The good thing: it was served hot.

Where do I begin? The Leonardo Murrayfield is no better than the Capital if not worse. Booked a few weeks in advance for a colleagues retiral but when we arrived the table wasn’t ready and the restaurant was empty so there was no excuse for this. The service was slow and the food was awful. I think I had a ‘Findus’ frozen fish in batter which was in no stretch of the imagination crispy with cold soggy chips. I drank water as it was £9.50 for a large glass of wine. There may be different owners but they haven’t improved the service or quality of food. Very disappointing. Thankfully it didn’t spoil the reason we were there.

Da wir im dazugehörigen Hotel übernachtet haben, haben wir uns dazu entschlossen im Westview Abend zu essen. Obwohl nicht viel los war hat es sehr lange gedauert bis unsere Gerichte serviert wurden. Während der bestellte Chicken-Burger ganz okay war, war das Steak mit Fries als es serviert wurde fast kalt und sehr zäh. Eigentlich hätte ich es gleich zurückgehen lassen sollen.

Lovely afternoon tea would def recommend. One of our party had dietary requirements - vegan plus gluten and dairy free. The restaurant accommodate the requirements and produced beautifully presented food. The views over Edinburgh are lovely and the staff are friendly.

The food is excellent. The restaurant is quiet. We stay two nights had dinner the first and could not resist tonhve dinner there the second nights.

The food was awful, had to put my main back and the attudide of the older waiter was appalling. Bad mannered a foul mouthed! I have to say the two your younger staff were very helpful and nice

The food would have been ok if it had been warm. It wasn't. Well presented and starters were ok but the main was cold. Book through 5pm.com and they will forget the deal so make sure you tell them. I had to work out the bill on my calculator. Service was slow from the kitchen as well.

On Friday 25th Aug my friends and I had a lovely afternoon tea. Verry helpful, cheary staff. Lovely views over Edinburgh. Tasty sandwiches, scones and small cakes. Would def return.

After swimming we decided to come up to the restaurant for a quick snack, we got our daughter chips and my partner and I shared nachos! The guacamole we got was brown and looked like mould! The actual nachos were solid with crispy burnt cheese now come on how can you not make nachos right! The chef needs to have a look at himself! Will never be back up for food

Great service by a polish guy, he was very polite and made us special. The beef main course was a good choice, very tasty and the dessert was excellent too. Would recommend it and would come back again. And what a view!!! (we used the 5pm deal)

Bar staff and restaurant staff were excellent but that's where the positives really ground to a halt. One of our party of 3 enjoyed both his course choices - the nachos and the grilled Limerick ham. My sister and i enjoyed our starters of chicken liver parfait and the smoked salmon roulade, however, our mains of grilled fillet of beef medallions were cold, served on cold plates and had to be returned to the kitchen. By the time they reappeared, my brother-in-law had finished his main course. When I ordered the 'medallions', I expected plump little cushions of juicy fillet steak. What I got were a couple of thin slices of fairly tough meat which bore a greater resemblance to slices of beef ham than to any fillet medallion I have eaten. The gratin potato portions were microscopically small and the haggis slice was dry. At a cost of £19.95, this really was a shocking rip-off. Given our experience, I couldn't possibly recommend a visit to this place.

Stayed at the hotel a joining the resturant for two night so had 2 seperate meals. The first of which was an evening meal of which i had the steak burger. Not the greatest but was still really nice. The service thst night was ok. Had a trainee so he was still learning the ropes. The next afternoon we had afternoon tea. This was superb. Lots of food. Alot of food for 1 but brilliant.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and dined here for dinner and breakfast. Breakfast the usual find at hotels. Mass produced sitting in warmer trays but nice all the same. Dinner well that was a different story. I had crusted salmon cooked beautifully significant other had steak cooked to perfection. He actually got what he asked for.. Brilliant. The service was great once we were seated but somewhat abrupt when we arrived by a certain waiter. He looked rather busy but you can still be friendly.. Overall - would recommend.

This "hotel" has no wheelchair access to the resaurant - I was told the wheelchair user can use the bar! the restaurant only has 4 steps and they can't provide access - appalling service they should be ashamed of themselves in this say and age

Tried to book family get together lunch for New Year's Day. There are 4 steps into the restaurant and no provision for wheelchairs. Spoke to the manager, who is aware of this, he is new to the hotel and knows that improvements are needed and is addressing these.

The Early menu is good value - 2 courses for £9.95, 3 for £12.95. Much cheaper than the normal menu. The food is excellent, staff very helpful and the restaurant has great views over to the west.

Excellent food and service. My only complaint was that I was led to believe I was getting homemade fries. The fries I got were nice enough but when you're expecting handmade it's a but if a disappointment. This aside the food was impeccable. A must try... 5*'s from me!

I eat here a lot and have to say I've never been disappointed. A lot of Scottish ingredients are used in the menu. The food is scrumptious! Menu choice changed depending on the season. Staff are friendly and service really good. Well worth a visit plus they're good for dietary requirements!
