Didn’t have half the cocktails in stock, messed our orders up waited 50 minutes for our drinks, ordered a pina colada and when telling the staff member that we thought something was off with the drink, the immediate response was ‘well you’ve been drinking it still’. Rude staff and don’t recommend, not worth the money for the price you pay!

Noisy in the extreme. Slack and sloppy service. Food mediocre served in cardboard boxes, no plates or cutlery. If you enjoy dining out don’t come here.

The kitchen closes at 7:00 and we arrived in enough time to order our food. I asked for no bacon as I cannot eat it and the burger was brought slathered in bacon. The wait staff was very polite and apologetic would expect and said that the kitchen accepted that they would have to remake it. I marked the burger to see if they would send the same thing back and from what I can tell it was 100% the same burger just with bacon removed and maybe some new cheese put on it. I could still taste the bacon and it made me nauseous. I left the burger after just a couple of small bites. If the kitchen wasn't going to remake it they should not have promised they would. I understand the kitchen was closing but that is no excuse for such disrespect. I paid for everything (including the burger) and left without saying anything. Would not recommend for anyone who has any food restrictions.

We were seated in the cushion area to the right hand side after the stairs, which was really nice and then offered menus straight away. After we ordered, drink timing and meal served was perfect. Staff were smiling and joking with us. Really nice afternoon and the staff were excellent.Deffo 5 starts and would highly recommend.I think you always leave here with the feel good factor!!

A really very welcoming restaurant that is child and dog friendly, the waitresses are really accommodating, even our dogs were provided with water. The food and cocktails are also excellent.

Staff are very unprofessional, not organised. The manager is immature and snappy. Very poor customer service. Was a big let down as the food and drinks were great but the customer service was appalling. Very clear the manager has zero experience.

Really poor service from staff, all very young and inexperienced with customer service. Music from DJ set was very loud which ruined the atmosphere. Cocktails were okay, not worth the price for the size of them.

I ordered fish and chips they gave me 4 fish fingers instead and charged me £14

Maybe the worse service ever. Servers were great when they came to the table but it took about an hour to get a drink, there was only 5 tables of people and 2 servers covering them.

Amazing food and cocktails at this bar! Worth the costs of the cocktails as they have some interesting looking ones! You can order to your table. The pizza is tasty!🍹🍕

Lovely setting especially when weather good

Atmosphere is cute but food is strange and served in take out containers. Took forever for someone to come to our table, the veggie burger was burnt and the fish and chips are kid sized. Would not recommend.

Really great, the cocktail creations are really atypical and good! The food is good too and it's a change from what you usually eat in this type of restaurant. The staff was very friendly!

Visited later in the day and saw a nice little garden where people sat and enjoyed drinks. However when I booked and came the following day the beautiful green yard had Ben replaced with umbrellas and obnoxious music. I sat to order and received my drink, which was fantastic honestly best I’ve had in a while. The food was where it hit the fan. I ordered a “chicken ceaser” and for some you could describe it as such however I saw no reason to reinvent the wheel as an octagon what I received was a paper bowl with lettuce, giant cuts of chicken, bacon, and a poached egg, no cheese. One of my other party members received a pizza with ridiculously sweet bbq sauce slightly overcooked crust and another random egg. Further by this point the den had turned up the music to the point where we were practically shouting. FANTASTIC drinks but defiantly wouldn’t recommend any of the food.

We found this little gem by accident on Thursday 13th June my birthday, can't believe we haven't seen before, we went in and the staff were delightful, could not have been more helpful. I was cold so they quickly informed us they had heaters and turned on immediately, staff so friendly and asked if we'd like the menu, we could only stay for drinks as has booked Ivy On The Square for my birthday but said we'd return next time for food. What made it so special for me was they came over with a little birthday card for me and took the time to take pictures of my husband and I. A truly beautiful gem of a place and thanks for your kindness and adding to my special day. Love Margaret and David, ❤️😘❤️

We were looking for a sheltered spot in the afternoon sun to enjoy some cocktails and a bite to eat before Taylor Swift D3 and this did not disappoint. A great place for a special occasion or a casual drink outside. There were instagrammable opportunities as soon as we walked in the door. The cocktails were great, there was a deal on, good music, delicious food, attentive and swift service (pardon the pun). Toilets were newly renovated. There are umbrellas if needed and its sheltered slightly below street level. What more could you ask for. Will be back on the next sunny occasion!

Do try and visit Rose Street Garden every summer and this year did not disappoint. Booked as part of my birthday. Really appreciated the birthday card!! Thank you! And also that lemon cooler is dangerous but DELIGHTFUL!!

Nice location and in summer it’s in full sun. I had a light snack and a beer for my lunch. Very young servers. However should know that not everyone wants to drink from a bottle and finger food needs serviettes - without the need to ask!

We accidentally stumbled upon this outdoor oasis when looking for a place to have a quick drink. The creative and DELICIOUS drinks exceeded our expectations. The whipped feta we ordered as a snack was equally wonderful . Our waitress Imogen was absolutely delightful. I would recommend going to Rose Street Garden 10 times over…. Was a lovely experience.

Extremely friendly staff, delicious food, fun drinks. We went in the middle of a rain storm which is clearly not what it is designed for but they had heaters and umbrellas and it was very cozy!

Ordered a large hamburger there was a lot to it. The burger was very greasy if fact my plate was full of grease. While eating some people sat down beside us and started smoking i asked the waitress to tell them to butt out She did but when they had some friends arrive the started smoking again E cigarettes so lots of smoke. Had a disgusting meal if smoking is allowed it should be posted Will not go there again

Lovely sweet place! All staff were really helpful and just a nice chilled place to go with your friends or boyfriend or family or whatever! Food was so yummy, it was insane! The halloumi fries were gorgeous! Even got a heater next to us because it was a bit chilly, but then the sunshine came out! 💕

My friend was given a voucher for her birthday so we went and it was nice! The place feels quite out of the way and surprisingly like you aren't even in the centre of town. The seating is all outdoors although there are tables under marquee type things to shelter under if the weather turns or you aren't a fan of sitting in the sun like me. Our voucher was for a glass of Prosecco each and 6 small plates to share. The Prosecco was delicious and there were also a good amount of cocktails and softdrinks to choose from on the menu. The food was delicious too, there were only 7 small plate options and of those 4 were vegetarian (all but one containing cheese though so be aware if you have this voucher to check of they have vegan alternatives). Since my friend and I are quite adventurous we ordered one of everything. This meal was our dinner and it was actually the perfect amount. Most of the plates arrived with 2 or 3 of each thing on it so it wasn't too much. We got a few chicken things, mozzarella sticks, halloumi and stuffed peppers. Everything was hot and tasty. The cocktails were nice too and not as pricey as I'd expected. Overall a nice place to grab drinks and some food. From looking at the menu the food options aren't too numerous, it's not necessarily somewhere i would book just to get a meal, but a nice atmosphere, providing the weather holds up! My only tiny complaint was that the ordering system was QR code based and for some reason neither mine nor my friends phones could connect which meant trying to flag down wait staff when we needed something. As most people were using the app there weren't as many staff around so there was sometimes a small wait to find someone, but that is a technical fault rather than a direct issue with this place! The actual staff were lovely and accommodating and totally understanding that the site wasn't working! Overall definitely recommend for drinks, a great place especially with the summer and the festival, adding a nice atmosphere!

Took my Fiancee here as part of birthday surprise, was worth it!!! Lovely outdoors area & cool indoors too! Didn't have food, but drinks were reasonably priced. 100% recommend booking a place/time!!!

The service here was the best we experienced during our week in Scotland. We were never thirsty or forgotten and that is what gets you 5 stars apparently. The food was great. There was a HUGE menu with great variety and plenty of N/A mocktails that were creative and fun to drink. They had lots of gluten free options (not pictured). The location itself is very interesting and they seem like they are ready for all types of weather.

Hele leuk tuin zo midden in Edinburgh. Het eerste ontvangst was vriendelijk. Daarna duurde het allemaal erg lang en leek het wel of we genegeerd werden. Het eten smaakte wel prima.

Lekker eten sfeer is erg leuk in de tuin, jammer dat de bediening erg traag is. Ontvangst was erg vriendelijk daarna beetje genegeerd. Eten duurde meer dan 40 minuten en het zat lang niet vol.

Loud obnoxious table next to us that the staff ignored and didn't try and calm down. Cocktails nowhere near as good as previous years. Such a shame as it was amazing last summer.

I'll start by saying that this is a lovely little sun trap and the food is delicious and really reasonably priced! We were greeted and welcomed with a lovely smile and introduction but unfortunately, once we were in there - it all went downhill. We ordered a glass of wine and two cocktails, plus the veggie pizza, (its on the menu) Mexican dirty fries and the Mozzarella bites. Drinks arrived. cocktails were lovely. White wine glass was covered in lipstick. I didn't mention it, I just wiped the lipstick off myself with a napkin. I was happy to let it go. Food arrived and instead of the veggie pizza, a margarita pizza arrived. We said "Oh actually, it was the veggie one we ordered" So the server took the pizza away saying "let me go check". She came back and said the words "Its margarita that was written down so thats what you ordered". We explained that we didn't order that one but we were met with "Thats what you ordered, do you want it or not?" We accepted the pizza as we didn't want to make a scene but please can you just teach some basic customer service skills? Solve the problem. "Oh so sorry about that, do you mind if we just add the extra toppings to this pizza thats already made?" No problem - thanks so much, really appreciate that. or "I'm so sorry, my colleague has messed up, would you accept this pizza or do you want me to get a fresh one for you?" As I say, the food was actually lovely, its a shame that its served by staff who haven't been encouraged to bring some real positivity to the table. We ordered some Prosecco and the bill at the same time. Prosecco took 40 minutes to come and the bill didn't come. It was only when they asked us to start vacating (as they needed the table back) that we were able to remind them we'd asked for the bill over an hour ago. When someone did come to take payment, they asked "was everything ok for you" I said "It was ok, it could have been better, there is room for improvement" She rolled her eyes. If you ask the question, be prepared to deal with the answer. In general, I'd say avoid this place, unfortunately the staff attitudes are really poor.

Overpriced lifeless pints. No real derive girl servers walking about avoiding customers acting like they don’t see them. Went to pay and there was an additional ‘cool fee’ and an added tip without asking that we were charged for that we only found out afterwards. Wouldn’t go back lifeless and overpriced

Lovely setting on a sunny summer’s day. Super quick service, cold draft beer. Had pizza and side of chips, pizza was way undercooked but didn’t send it back and did our best. Server was very concerned that we left a lot and the pizza was deducted from the bill without even asking. Full marks for this and will return if we’re here again.

Been twice, once during the day when it was sunny (lovely) and once at night when it was cold (quite cold unless you're right next to a heater!) Beautiful location though, very instagram-worthy and the cocktail presentation was very exciting, namely the disco-ball-cocktail-bowl. The menu was a bit limited, better for drinks than food but nice to have the option.

Nice flavoured food with fancy cocktails.

We chose this spot for our evening meal. They were really good to accommodate us away from the party groups. The drinks were good - the glasses and mugs had a wow factor for the kids (both under 10). The food, however, wasn’t very good. We ordered pizza, which was sent back burnt. The tacos were tasteless and the boa buns were undercooked. The chips were good though. I wouldn’t return. I didn’t rate the service either, we were left out of the loop and had to get someone’s attention when we wanted anything.

Loved this place only went for drinks so would go for food next time . The staff are excellent great place to go on a sunny day. Only negative is 10 % surcharge . would suggest they leave customers to leave their own tip hate companies that do this . Embarrassing to ask them to remove but all customers should tell them.

We love this place and today the weather was beautiful, the service good and nice food BUT come on, to add 10% service charge without making it obvious, is bad.

This was a great find with a special menu for dogs. Service was good, staff were friendly. Be careful when ordering as not everything comes with chips or fries. The food was good but isn’t served on a plate, it comes in like a take-away box

These cocktails are so popular we had about an hours wait for them 🐅 Rose Street Gardens have opened for the Summer and it's filled with perfectly curated Insta hot spots and cocktails. I've no doubt my feed over the Summer will be awash with their Rainforest themed cocktails like their 🦩Bubble Butt 💉 Anti Venom 🌿 Jungle Fever 🐒 Cheeky Monkey

Excellent place for some cool mixed drinks and the appetizers were incredible.

Booking was easy, however, as we are a country that is going to rain, the shelter needs to be changed. We turned up for our booking and got placed in the corner were the pillows and the seating was soaking wet. The hostess was very apologetic so I felt very sorry for her as this was out of her control. We then waited 30 minutes and no one had come over to take our drinks order or food order yet there was staff wandering about talking to each other, so instead we used the QR code to order everything. The cocktails were nice, fries good but our crispy duck bao buns were dry and the bao buns under cooked. I usually love this place but for a country that is bound to rain, they need to ensure their staff are able to then move things around and ensure seating and heating is set up appropriately.

Was closed the day we were there however if food like in the dome its got to be amazing

Cute and cozy atmosphere, the food was very tasty and healthy (how do you people eat so much grease) and they have more funky drinks than we can possibly drink without getting hammered (including one in a telephone booth glass). Don’t waste money, food tasty but not the cheapest for portion size. Manageress very unhelpful and not interested. Don’t get cocktail shots as a con, you get six of the same and not six diff as the picture suggests.

We booked this for our last afternoon in Edinburgh as we wanted to try something new. No prices available on the website or menu outside the place, which indicates things might add up a bit. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were shown to the table straight away. The whole environment of the garden is very manufactured. The flowers and greenary look fake (didn't get chance to touch any so appologise if they are actually real) and more set up for people to take popular instagram pictures. We ordered food using QR code on the table. Easy to use and order. Our food came before our drinks, and we had to ask where our drinks where. Cocktails were nice, but nothing special. Also had to ask for cutlery as there was none on the table when we arrived and none came with the food. Not a big deal breaker if there weren't staff just standing at the bottom of the stairs talking to each other. The food was ok. We both ordered a pizza and dirty fries. The pizza's are wood fired which is nice, however mine was charred underneath which meant this was all I could taste and couldn't enjoy the toppings. My partners was better. The dirty fries were basically just curly fries with a little sauce on, nothing special or dirty about them, which was disappointing for the price. Used the toilets, the ladies had a sticky floor and broken toilet seats, where as the mens smelt strongly of urine...more like cheap club toilets than up-market dining option. We had to ask the staff, who again were stood around talking to each other, for our bill after we finished eating and each used the toilets. It cost us £50 for two pizzas, 2 cocktails and a side, which is a good price. When the bill came there was a 10% service charge added on. When asked, the waitress stated this was optional (which it does not state this). Requested this be removed as there was nothing outstanding about the food or service that I would tip for. Overall I was not impressed with the food or service and would probably not go here again or suggest it to friends, unless they were more interested in taking pictures than good food/service. Save your money and go to the Hard Rock Cafe just around the corner.

Lovely atmosphere at Rose St gardens. Fun and interesting cocktails with lots of choices. Easy ordering through the app and booking service too. Would recommend booking in advance as usually gets very busy.

Will start by saying choice of beer limited to larger (not my choice) Having said that, on a sunny Saturday afternoon in middle of Edinburgh great place to sit Food simple and well cooked Service top notch (even had sun block on offer, and if you were looking in need of it, it appeared) Cocktails, lots of strange glasses being delivered to all tables. Popular spot for selfie would be the flower clad phone box in the corner.

Really fun place to go out with friends in central Edinburgh. Ordered using QR code -very quick and easy and service was swift. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Plenty of nice mocktail options for non-alcoholics. Beautifully decorated and will make you smile as you entered. Good place for Instagram feed too. We dint eat food but was available looked pretty good. You may find this bar slightly over priced though.

Walked past this place on our first night in Edinburgh and were intrigued by the pictures on the menu out front. Went inside for cocktails which were great and a good price for the experience, and the staff were lovely and friendly. The location is good and there are loads of photo opportunities on the inside. Lots of different cocktails to choose from all of which are all unique. The only downside is there is a menu out front but no pricing, so we took a bit of a chance but glad we did as they are the same price of drinks in other bars/pubs in the area (between £8-10).

Delicious food, lovely setting, good service... only let down was the cocktails. The strawberry daiquiris tasted more like very bland alcohol free slush puppies. We had quite a few cocktails and the only one that actually tasted nice wad the mojito

Booked a 2 hour slot for my husbands birthday for some cocktails before heading out for the evening. The staff were very attentive and the cocktails really good. So glad I booked to visit here.

My friends and I were there for a 21st, the service was absolutely amazing!! Couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon.

Came for cocktails and lunch with my daughter. We were welcomed by friendly staff who clearly enjoy working here. The atmosphere is fun and with a mixed age range, feels relaxed and comfortable, with a great playlist. The food was fantastic, hot and very tasty....

This is a lovely enclosed garden bar with a Bombay Sapphire seating area. The courtyard is very pretty with plenty of patio heaters. Excellent drinks selection. We had the Philly steak pizza which was delicious. Also had the flat bread and humous as nibbles which...
