Jus got charged £5 for a portion of chips here. Very disappointed that they treat a loyal customer like this. £5 for supermarket chips is not good.

Popped in one night on way home and was delicious. Got it delivered today and was excellent! Could not believe the amount of meat for the chicken shawarma kebab. Everything was delicious. Will be getting again. Excited to try more things off the menu.

If you are going to eat, you should definitely eat here. The taste and quality are on par with the best restaurants in Turkey, and the price performance is reasonable compared to the city.

One of the best Donner Kebabs in Edinburgh. The quality of the meat is better than other kebab shops. Portion size is OK.

I loved the food it was really delicious we didn’t have to wait for the service for that long and you can pick your drinks in the deals on the menu it is a wonderful place I would recommend it if you want Kebab.

Food portion is quite big for one person. I like Nan and good with chicken kebab, I think it is better than with rice. Service is acceptable, not good not bad. Shop is clean and not busy in the afternoon. The shop is a bit far from tourist area, but okay with rambling around the city.

Ordered food that costs 26.50 always get same food when driver came it was 43.50£ the price wasn’t the problem wen I phoned not one bit of customer satisfaction they don’t care once they have yer cash won’t be bk dog will have full belly tonight learn to understand Scottish if u have shop here

This place truly makes amazing "Adana Kebab" and "Lamb Döner". The lamb döner is specially made and it is truly delicious. The service is really good and the home made chilli sauce is amazing. The prices are also very reasonable in this economic climate. I would highly recommend this place to dine in or out. There is a high selection of different Turkish food. As said previously, the prices in this economic climate are very reasonable.

Great food and good service. Always a good place to visit on budget. They can prove on using hot/grill plates to serve food as sometime it can get cold while you are eating.

You canny beat a decent kebab meat laid doon a chopped on an old granite slab. Seasoned, then skewered and cooked to perfection. Salad and sauces an extra selection.

Didn't go in person but ordered a mix kebab online. Arrived earlier than expected and is the best kebab I had in years, very well presented and lovely cooked, taste amazing. I will definitely order again

The best place we ate in while our stay in both Manchester and Scotland although there is a lot of halal restaurants but we couldn’t find one better than Marmaris. The food, the atmosphere and the people there are exquisite. We went there 3 days in a row and if we had more time there we would have gone there.

I passed by the restaurant a few days ago in the afternoon and it was very quiet and only two tables were occupied. I decided to eat there another day. I went to the restaurant in the evening and it was crowded and I could not find a table for me and had to share with two women. I waited a long time until they brought me adana kebab (kofta kebab) and the taste was amazing. The bulgur tastes delicious and fresh. I did not regret waiting, and now I know the reason for the crowding. Adana kebab with ayran yoghurt is only 15 pounds. I will definitely visit again and I do not mind waiting as long as I get a delicious meal like that. The service is fast and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Delivery was really fast, just eat said it would be delivered at around 10, but was here at 9! Delivery man was really kind.

I got a mixed done kebab for £11 00.It was the tasteless kebab I've had with no salad dressing and a chilli sauce that had about is much flavour as wallpaper paste.

This place looks like a takeaway kebab shop with some seating, but don't let the looks fool you. Their kebabs are wonderful (and huge - everyone in there was asking for a box to take some home). Definitely try the iskandar.

Bad experience! During the meal, a teenager suddenly broke in and stood beside our table, asked for our barbeque. My friends and I were very shocked. Before we could say no, he suddenly grabbed our plate and ran out. The dish which was robbed worth 30 pounds, my friends and I ate less than 1/4 of it. However, after that, the waiter asked whether we needed to add some more dishes, but we had no appetite for anything after experiencing this. In the end, restaurant operator didn't give us any compensation, and even we paid for it at the original price. This kind of experience is very terrible. My friends and I think we are experiencing racial discrimination, and the staff did not protect customers at all(we didn’t react because we are two girls and it was already at night）. We will never go to this barbeque restaurant again!

Rare to get into Edinburgh to visit family and decided to get a kebab . Ordered a special and a home made nan bread Went into town to pick it up the. Got back to house . No pitta breads in the order , so as the wife says she had a chicken salad and the na. Bread was a wrap so disappointed and it’s not cheap there are Many Better kebabs in Edinburgh . I won’t make this mistake again

Tried the lahmacun for the first time and it was amazing also a really good snack that isn't too heavy. Also have tried the Lamb ribs since then and found them to be somewhat addictive and such a treat.

Nice food. SO MUCH chicken in the chicken kebab. Little bit too much lettuce in lamb shish kebab wrap. In delivery they forgot the juice but bring it right away after I let them know. Overall quite good.

Best kebabs, wraps in Newington area. They have good dining area as well.. I frequently buy takeaway wraps and kebab set. Very good portion of chicken and lamb in the mixed doner wrap..their red and white sauce is a must if you are taking away food.. Ask for it when ordering.

The food is just perfect! All tasted fresh, consistent portions and super fast delivery. The chicken doner is probably the best in town. I recommend it 100%.

Highly recommend this restaurant. We had the meal for 2 and it was so delicious and packed of food we could only eat 3/4 of the serving. We were in Edinburgh for 5 days and had to go back again. The kebabs are so flavoursome and tender. Great value delicious food and good service.

Nice turkish restaurant, the food was very nice. Recommend the Kofta/adana kebab, was very nice. Generally all the food was nice. The waiter was also very nice, but may have been new as he wasn't aware of a few things. Our experience was generally quite positive. The seating is good, but can get busy and tight during peak times. Everything is halal

The meals were terrific. But the tables were very cramped and the atmosphere was not elegant at all. It could have been designed better.

I dived into Marmaris on Saturday evening for a small fish supper between beers at Dickens pub. Nice staff, good service and excellent fish and chips. Lovely crisp batter on the fish and well-cooked chips. I’ll be back!

Not often I bother to write reviews but having recently visited this amazing Turkish restaurant I felt compelled to write a review. Lamb calzone was magnificent and portioned very generous. Wonderful experience all round. This place is highly recommended.

Absolutely dirty and disgusting food quality. Nasty face chef , There was a sisgo (heavy)man behind the fridge very rude and feeling himself as a president. I never go back. In Turkey if you knock someones door they feed you but this guys bring Turkey’s reputation down only because of the bad behaviour and looking down on customers.

This is definitely a place worth visiting. The quality is tasty and quantity for the price is ok. We had Marmaris special for 2 which was 24£ and came with chutney, salad, bread, and the main dish. Although the meatier items are not as a much, as one would expect for 24£ . If there were chips than that would be super. The taste was good. Would have given it 4/5 then. The lahmacun was worth at 4£ Certainly worth a visit. ======= Visited multiple times and had take away as well. Food quantity is certainly more with done in.. takeaway they cut corners

The service has been deteriorated and the delay is so much. When you complain they laugh it off. We had to wait for 1 he for food to arrive and still nobody cared. Their behaviour was bad and rude. Food quality has also reduced. Never ever visit again.

What I ordered was not what I got I ordered a haleb kebab which in the description was doner served on crispy bread with onions , mushrooms, red and green peppers with garlic butter. What I received was doner with a tomato sauce and salad they even argued that they blend the ingredients for the sauce but nowhere did it say on the menu tomato sauce. Was very disappointed. I did get a replacement but was not what I really wanted

We got takeout. The food was delicious and just what we were looking for. It was fairly priced for the amount of protein you get. Also, they pack things very securely so there is little worry about anything leaking. Takeout didn't come with forks so make sure to ask if you need them!

Absolutely delicious kofte kebab wraps- perfect balance of meat and delicious crunchy vegetables in a glorious flatbread. The garlic sauce and spicy red sauce are out of this world. Also the best chips I've had from a takeaway. 5/5 no question!

The service was really bad. One of the lady staff was very unfriendly and showing attitude. We were asking her very politely about the menu. It seemed like we were forcing her to talk and she didn't like her job or us very disappointed.

Average taste, had tasted sweet corn chicken pizza. No enough sauces to go with.

Food was good as usual but this time the portion of the rice was alot less then what we usually get. We are regular customers that's why we know about the portions. We travel 14 miles to get there.

I used to come to this place in the last 15 years but It seems the Management changed and the quality of food changed as well. More expensive and less portion. and i ordered marmaris special 3 with hardly any lamb basis and no grilled vegetables at all with couscous and rice which i didn't like at all. they also served chicken wings which were red inside (not cooked properly). I hope they bring the old special and better quality food. it is a shame a well known kebab house to lose their standard and hope they listening to long standing customers before losing them. I will give it another try in few months time and see.

Came here for a quick dinner since I was recommended to drop by for cheap eats. I got the Doner Kebab (at a student price!) and oh boy the portion is big and could be enough for 2 people hahaha. My friends got the chicken kebab and personally I think that tasted better than the lamb one. Their sauces are very good too as we kept going for the sauces over and over. Its really worth the price you're paying for and your get 10% as a student here :)

It's the best halal place around Edinburgh City centre. I come here for dinner whenever I travel here for work. Great shish kebabs at a reasonable price. Recommended.

This restaurant prefers the services of their people of the same nationality first before other nationalities, and this is a kind of racism. I was treated without respect and preference for people of their own nationality over me, and I think that is because my skin color is different. I will boycott this restaurant and invite all my family and friends to boycott it.
