The best restaurants in East Lothian Edinburgh and Lothian

Visited Kaffeine yesterday and for this small place the taste of their food is gigantic. My family had the soup, an omelette, the home made cheese burger and l had the french toast with crispy bacon and maple syrup -it was fantastic. Congratulations to the management and the staff. Will always visit when in Mussleburgh. Thank you

The Hollies is a community cafe in the heart of Musselburgh. It offers very good food at a reasonable price. Apart from what is available on the menu there is always soup, a dish of the day and a sweet. The staff are very friendly and helpful and its the kind of place you can go to on your own without feeling out of place.

This is an excellent place to dine. Pre- book well in advance or prepared to be disappointed as the venue is refreshingly intimate The service is impeccable, attentive and friendly. The menu is essentially a choice of 3 starters, mains and desserts for a fixed price. The food is absolutely outstanding and the wine list is equally complementary. Excellent value for money. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

In my years, I've been to many ice cream shops, but none of them even come close to S Luca's. The staff are always wearing a smile, and it's got a great variety to pick from! If you're vegan, you also have options to try this place out! Though the café is also great, nice service, an easy menu to look at, being able to cater to some modifications made to the food you order. If you're a tourist and want a cold treat on a warm summer's day, S Luca is a go-to.

Super afternoon tea in a lovely Pricess Margaret Lounge. Excellent atmosphere and service by Isabella. Thoughtfulness in creating treats for diabetic attendee was much appreciated. Very helpful with voucher redemption at reception too. Could not have done more to Make our anniversary special! ❤️ Thank you all xx

Celebrated my 50th birthday at Carberry tower with my husband. We were given a warm greeting and a complimentary room upgrade to a beautiful spacious suite. All staff were very friendly and polite throughout. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. The breakfast plentiful and delicious. The whole hotel was extremely clean. On my birthday we were given a complimentary drink each in the restaurant. Everything was 100%. Highly recommend.

A great place, friendly and welcoming. It's a must if you're staying over in North Berwick.

Had a great night out with friends over good food and wine

Family night out - 8 of us. Good atmosphere with excellent attentive staff. Jack went out of his way to ensure our needs were met. Food rated excellent. Will return.

What an amazing place! I went there with 3 of my friends and we all had something different, all of which loved our meals. I had the fish and chips which were gluten free! And they were some of the best gluten free fish and chips I’ve ever had! Would definitely recommend 😁

I was recommended the Tyneside / Mazzoli by a couple of friends. When we visited at lunch time without reserving a table, there were 4 of us and it was it was quite busy, we got a table and had a very nice meal which we chose off the set lunch menu. The food is lovely, inexpensive and served by very helpful waitresses. We will be back

Great place for a breakfast love the coffee

Fantastic bakers. Sandwiches, steak pie for Christmas, bread - all great quality & taste. Staff always cheery, good laugh & helpful.
