The Hollies is a community cafe in the heart of Musselburgh. It offers very good food at a reasonable price. Apart from what is available on the menu there is always soup, a dish of the day and a sweet. The staff are very friendly and helpful and its the kind of place you can go to on your own without feeling out of place.

We happened to come across this hidden gem whilst out shopping. I think its an elderly day centre also but incorporates a cafe and second hand shop. Food was simple and fresh and the best black pudding I've tasted ever. Our daughter is vegan so asked could she have beans on toast, however we were told as it isn't on the menu we couldn't have it (something to do with costings?). We asked could we have a bean toastie then (same ingredients) and we allowed to order that 🤔 We were served by an elderly lady who was really friendly and it gave the experience a homely feel. Prices are good also.

The Hollies is a gem on the High Street, just as you comeo ver the bridge it is on your left .Inside you can go up to the Hairdressers by Stairlift if required, or browse the Charity Shop on the right of the building. Very good traditional dishes at very reasonable prices Their Charity Shop is very well stocked with clothes, shoes, handbags, bric -a -brac, hand made greetings cards, mens items and up to OS for the ladies.

Outstanding dinner. We had Seafood pasta and the Seafood mixed grill. Both were bloody marvellous! Drinks were great and service was grand too. This place is special.
