Nice wee cafe situated in Asda ..I have only ever used it for breakfast when meeting people or when the wife shops in Asda ,as this is based inside the store . It is also opposite the primary school and gets used quite a lot after child drop off

I have used this cafe on numerous occasions to meet friends for lunch and find the menu very good and varied, good size portions and the soup of the day is always delicious. One of my friends is vegetarian and always finds something to suit her. The staff are always very pleasant and hard working. It is also very good at night time as well. Not expensive and local.

Went here for a wee snack last Saturday and was very impressed with the food We had hot rolls and panning which were lovely. Wanted scones after but were too full. Took two scones home with us and they were delicious best we have tasted in ages. We'll done we will certainly come back and recommend to friends.

Perfect. Every soup made on premises and unbelievably tastiest ever, don't know anywhere within the near region that sells homemade soup that's a meal in itself. Pleasant staff no fuss attitude and something for everyone.

Visited at lunchtime and ordered lentil soup and toastie, tea and coffee. Service was great, and both the soup and toasted sandwich were delicious. Service was very good and hot drink was provided after soup with sandwich. Well worth a visit.

First visit for mid morning coffee, absolutely lovely with really tasty homebaked scones and jam. Watched another family having full breakfast and omelette, both looked delicious and they were full of praise for taste. Enjoyed my coffee as I like weak coffee and received it as requested. Will certainly be revisiting soon. Staff were really pleasant and helpful.

We have been visiting The Tea Room for many many years since it began during the old Co-op years. Home cooked food, excellent soup, home baked cakes, scones, biscuits. There are many dishes that I could recommend, but I usually always return to my favourite version of stovies. Helen seems to have semi-retired these days, but she has an excellent staff who run the place when she is absent. This is one of the few eating places in the Tranent area which has parking facilities, although not quite as well organised now as it used to be.

Literally just got up and walked out after reading the menu prices. We were here last summer for lunch, had one of the best bowls of Cullen skink soup to date, came back specifically for that today as in the area, only to find that for one bowl of soup as a starter was £9.95 or for a large bowl of the same is now priced at £15.95! FOR A BOWL OF SOUP! I know it’s a tourist hotspot, but take off your Dick Turpin masks No 12!!

Was rank, coffee was weak and hair in my pastry.. wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy to be honest. Would recommend Gregg's round the corner in all fairness.

Seems to be going down hill - toastie was a bit tasteless, cake was terrible - gluten free lime and coconut but so so stale and dry - didn't finish it. Coffee was good. When we mentioned the cake wasn't nice the waitress just smiled - An apology and perhaps it being taken off the bill would have been more appropriate.

Absolutely fantastic as always, both servers were brilliant. Food was outstanding as always. Even although the place was not busy the atmosphere was brilliant. Really enjoyed the flat iron steak it was so tender. Thank you everyone involved

A gem in Haddington with lots of nice homemade cosy food, a bakery and a shop! Go there for spending relaxing time with family and friends or just to treat yourself! Grilled nectarine and halloumi quinoa salad already replicated at home! Gnammy!
