Seems to be going down hill - toastie was a bit tasteless, cake was terrible - gluten free lime and coconut but so so stale and dry - didn't finish it. Coffee was good. When we mentioned the cake wasn't nice the waitress just smiled - An apology and perhaps it being taken off the bill would have been more appropriate.

We called in for lunch on a day trip to Dunbar whilst on holiday. Graze is well-placed on the High Street and looks quite small from the street; it appeared to be very busy but when we entered we were shown to a table at the rear - it's much more spacious than it first appears with plenty of tables in a couple of back rooms and an outside space. We both ordered the flat breads - chicken for my husband and grilled halloumi for me - and they were delicious being well-filled with the main ingredient plus houmous and salad, with tortilla chips and salad on the side. The coffee was excellent and the Bounty hot chocolate was lovely - very sweet (to be expected) but with a definite flavour of coconut. Service was good - friendly and attentive but not too much - and, although it was busy, we didn't have to wait long for our order. We'll definitely call in again for lunch next time we're in Dunbar.

I stopped by here the other week. I wasn’t sure exactly what I was craving, apart from something sweet. I seen they had pastries on the shop window which is what drawn me in. I ended up going with a couple. I got the almond croissant and another pastry with chocolate and hazelnut which I can’t remember the name of. I was asked if I wanted a drink which I initially said no to but then I seen they did bounty hot chocolates so I got that as well. The woman that served me was pleasant enough but gave off slightly awkward vibes. Although maybe it was me that made her uncomfortable. I learnt that many of the bakery/sweet treat items are bought in but they do make their own scones and the soups and light lunches are all homemade. Everything I bought I felt was reasonably priced. I decided to take away. Firstly I had the hot chocolate which was pretty good. I didn’t get strong flavours of bounty but I suppose you don’t want it overpowering do you. Equally I don’t remember it having a complex flavour profile. It was more of an ordinary hot chocolate. It was served just at the right temperature and was well presented with cream on top. I chose not to have lid to preserve the appealing presentation. I feel that it was lacking the desired velvety texture and was maybe a bit on the watery side. The pastries were a little disappointing. The flavours of the fillings were nice but the texture was a bit stodgy. It was definitely lacking the ideal lightness you look for in a pastry. It was almost a bit doughy and heavy, and certainly lacking the layers. A few years ago I would be more complimentary of these but my standards have changed since I’ve had many excellent pastries over the years. Don’t get me wrong I still gobbled it up and didn’t leave a crumb. Overall I believe a 3 star is fair. Perhaps my score would improve if I had sat in and tried some of their main offerings so I suppose it’s a reason to come back.

This coffee shop is perfectly situated on High Street, five minutes walk from the railway station. A good selection of cakes and decent coffee. We were lucky to visit on a nice warm day, so sat at one of the outside tables and were able to see all that was going on in that part of the town.

Went to graze for an iced coffee, staff were absolutely clueless and clearly had no training on how to make coffee’s. I ordered an iced caramel coffee which contained less than a centimetre of coffee and very little ice. There was no effort whatsoever to make it nice or presentable. Caused me to have a terrible headache all day. The shop has a rule of £5 limit on card. My coffee was £4.25 and I don’t carry cash so I was forced to buy something else. I bought a vegan brownie and was charged a ridiculous price of £4 for it, and it was not even the size of my pinky and was raw and tasted awful. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning again.

I had to wait to order despite the place not being busy. the lady at the counter made eye contact with me, seeing that I want to order but continued on folding napkins. the food and coffee was average, I ate it because I was really hungry not because I enjoyed it, otherwise I would walk out. generally not happy with the service provided, wouldn’t be back again.

Pretty disappointed. I get you have breakfast menus, but I never get the fact places don’t stop serving at specific times. Despite being 10 mins past the cut off. Ordered from the lunch menu, got given the wrong order. Specifically asked if it was the correct one - chicken instead of halloumi. I’m dairy intolerant. It was halloumi. Slow service and not particularly happy to have customers. Won’t be back.

Went here for brunch with a friend of mine. It has been a number of years since I was last here. First thing that I would say is that the service is excellent. They have an extensive menu with very good quality food. The standout for me was the coffee, served in perfect sized cups not the huge mugs or soup bowls that you get in a lot of places and seved at the correct temp. - FIVE STAR. I also liked the way that they served the tea in china cups and all laid out on a plate, very stylish. Next to the food, my dining partner had a cheese and ham toastie, great tasting, good quality and beautifully served with a little salad and some crisps. I had the cheese sandwich again beautifully served and with very tasty brown bread, I loved it. Overall a great place with excellent friendly attentive service. Well worth a visit.

ABSOLUTELY INSANE PRICING. Came for a quick munch with my family, the place is nicely presented and could be seen as a luxury ‘cafe’ but these prices are verging on the same as a restaurants. Poor waitresses are swept off their feet but clearly trying their best. You’d be as well chucking your money away before you spend the asked price of a sandwich in this shop with store bought bread and a handful of selected fillings (anymore is 80 pence extra!) don’t forget less than a hand sized portion of salad leaves (if you can call them that) and one tomato.

The food is lovely. The surroundings are pretty good. The staff, not so good. They mean well, but they are either not trained well or not supervised well. A waitress that mumbles quietly when reading back the order. Empty plates left on the table for 20 minutes. A general feeling that the staff don't care. This is not the staff's problem; it's a management problem. Management: go and grab a coffee at Espresso Black up the road to see how it should be done. I'd happily pay your reasonably high prices if the service was better. As it is, it's not great value for money.

Went there for morning tea and cake. After a nice harbour/beach walk, we were in need of something nice, and this was the place to get it. The tea comes in a big pot, that allows lots of refilling of the porcelain cups, combined with great cake, in lovely quiet sunny courtyard, making it the perfect spot for morning tea. At lunch time we looked for somewhere else to eat, but found nothing more enticing, so went back to the court yard for lunch. Service was great, food was great, ambiance was great, they accept dogs, what more could you want. We would return next time we're in Dunbar.

Did not try food or chocolate. My partner ordered two Lattes and they both came very very hot. So much so the coffee was bitter because of the heat. The guy who served her was very miserable almost put out it was an effort to serve ! A couple days later we went back because all other coffee shops were closed and hoped we would have someone else serve us. The coffee was better about the right temperature but the guy was still miserable. Won’t be using again because of the experience. Response. Hi Lorraine, We can’t remember the exact days but only one man appeared to be serving so probably not to hard to work out. Possibly had grey beard. I see from your reviews this has been mentioned before. When out buying a coffee to enjoy you don’t then want to have to spend time trying to find a manager to complain about a member of the team’s attitude. You can hardly raise it with the person with the attitude ! During these difficult times we enjoyed fantastic customer service and coffee from all the other coffee shops in Dunbar and enjoyed cakes and conversation in a local bakery. It’s costs nothing to be polite at any time.

Great find looks small from the road but there are seats at the back and lovely, sunny courtyard at the back, good food and very good service would highly recommend

An excellent little cafe stop in the heart of Dunbar. We stopped here for a late breakfast on a bike pack trip back to Edinburgh. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating when we asked about vegan options, which they were able to offer....

Early start up the A1 and desperate for coffee.. but is anywhere open at 9am on a Sunday morning? Yes! Graze is open and the charming staff are ready with great coffee and fab breakfasts to set us up for the day. Lovely light, bright clean space. The cakes looked *amazing* but even I couldn’t do cake so early in the day…. sadly!! 110% worth a detour off the A1!

Absolutely fantastic as always, both servers were brilliant. Food was outstanding as always. Even although the place was not busy the atmosphere was brilliant. Really enjoyed the flat iron steak it was so tender. Thank you everyone involved

Literally just got up and walked out after reading the menu prices. We were here last summer for lunch, had one of the best bowls of Cullen skink soup to date, came back specifically for that today as in the area, only to find that for one bowl of soup as a starter was £9.95 or for a large bowl of the same is now priced at £15.95! FOR A BOWL OF SOUP! I know it’s a tourist hotspot, but take off your Dick Turpin masks No 12!!

Was rank, coffee was weak and hair in my pastry.. wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy to be honest. Would recommend Gregg's round the corner in all fairness.

We were at the Cafe , however, wandering through all the different routes in Cockenzie House is lovely and some lovely things to buy too. Plants on sale from 1000-1600 and gardens were bright and inviting.
