I went with my husband and a lady friend of ours. We popped in for lunch. Votadini is a lovely coffee shop owned by the extremely friendly Brunton Family. It has a very varied menu. From their famous mince and tatties to home made soups and choice of puddings and ice creams. Old fashioned sweetie shop.for bringing back memories of childhoods lost. This Family friendly shop encourages the customers to bring in their dogs, very pet friendly. With a lovely warm old fashion range fire on the cold days . It's the kind of place where you will want to linger over a coffee and a cake

Absolutely terrible experience. Cafe was filthy and we were shoved in a corner beside a high chair. Should have left before ordering food. Sausages were revolting, too salty and indeterminable ‘meat,’ probably cheap connective tissue. Toilet was disgusting, even the tap incrusted with dirt. Never again.

Ordered a delivery. Order to delivery 90 minutes. Food ALMOST luke warm. Sag aloo - good Mushroom Pilau - ok Chicken tikka makhani - totally tasteless. Naan - meh Food delivered in foil so needs to be decanted to microwave. My friend described the food as "average to $hite". I've tried this restaurant over the years hoping it will improve. It hasn't, ever. Never again.

We were staying at the nearby Hydro, and ate here on our 2nd night. We hadn't booked but it was no problem getting a table even though they were busy. A lovely restaurant, all staff friendly and knowledgeable. Food was beautiful, best Kashmiri korma I've had, everything we had was full of flavour and well presented. Would love this to be my local!! Would definitely visit again if back in Dunblane.

The Crown and Kitchen in East Linton had good trip advisor reviews, so we decided to stay for 1 night on our journey to eastern Scotland. Although there is no car park, there was plenty of on street unlimited parking near to the Inn. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we were shown to our beautiful contemporary room by a very helpful member of staff. Rooms are next door to the bar area, and so quiet. There was a wide choice of dishes for dinner, including fish and vegetarian options. Breakfast was very good. There were fresh berries and yoghurt and a range of cereals, as well as cooked options. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and the whole place was well cared for, light and welcoming. We will stay again when we are in the area, and can recommend it without hesitation.

I’m pleased to report the quality of the breakfasts has improved and the Dunbar Garden Centre will be back on our list. Thanks for taking our constructive criticism seriously. In particular the quality of the gluten free bread is much better and it made a very good bacon butty for my breakfast.

Called in for lunch but was quickly told hot drinks and cake only. Was told they close at 2.45 even though the sign on the door says 3. At 2.43 the door was snibbed, to ensure no one else came in. Coffee was meh.....cakes were delicious. Service was dire and delivered by unwelcoming staff, albeit locals seemed to garner a smile from the head honcho. If you don't mind an extremely poor welcome and service, head here. Reading the previous reviews, it would appear this business doesn't care about negative reviews.

I really loved staying at the Royal Macintosh; this old hotel has alot of character. I just really felt at home here. The welcoming, and friendly staff made it feel as though l was right at home! The location was perfect, also! Just a stones throw away from the train station, and there are lovely shops in town. Front reception, was beyond welcoming! They were integral in helping me locate my lost £400.00 pounds, providing me with importsnt information, and advice, at just the right moment, allowing me unlimited use of their computer, also. And the breakfast was always excellent! Incredible, and friendly service always! Best stay here, on one particularly rainy day, because the huge, long window in my room, allowed me an awesome view of all the different birds, doing their incredible airial acrobatics, and seeing the rain pummelling the window, made me feel so cozy, cuddled up in my warm wooley blanket. And the towel heaters was a lovely touch, after an invigerating jog in the rain, as well. I am hoping to bring my family here, very soon! I highly recommend the Royal Macintosh, if you are ever in Dunbar! Lovely golfing, The lovely John Muir museum, a nice workout at the local pool/gym and walkingaround the lovely beaches, really made my stay at the Royal Mac, extra speciial. If you need ideas about was to see and where to go here, just ask one of the friendly staff! Cannot wait to come back!
